  1. Past hour
  2. What a fun game that was. However, it's impact was a drop in the Pacific compared to 1969. And anyone who went to games up there after 69 knows, they hated our guts prior to the miracle of 87. Btw, that game was the first "walk off" win in UT history.
  3. Just to review, the executive branch does not make law. Most of the executive orders you hear about just set "policy", which can simply mean the executive order reads like an opinion piece and then vaguely instructs departments to work on memos, reports and such. I'm sure some of it has an impact but a lot of it is bluster. Here's the text of the executive order on college sports: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/2025/07/saving-college-sports/ For example, here's section 5 of the order: The Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and the Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison shall consult the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and other appropriate organizations of American athletes about safeguarding the integral role and competitive advantage that American collegiate athletics provide in developing athletes to represent our Nation in international athletic competitions. A bit of a word salad...
  4. Oh for fuck's sake Oklahoma
  5. I'm pretty sure their soon to be ex-es divorce lawyers will.
  6. Wear and tear is fucking stupid on a video game. They have yet to get it close to usable.
  7. Which is driven by the high end of the market as sales are actually down. “Sales of previously owned homes in June fell 2.7% from May to 3.93 million units on a seasonally adjusted, annualized basis, according to the National Association of Realtors. Analysts had expected a drop of just 0.7%. Sales were unchanged from June 2024.” “Sales continue to outperform on the higher end of the market. Homes priced below $100,000 dropped 5% annually. Homes priced between $100,000 and $250,000 rose 5%. And homes priced above $1 million jumped 14%.”
  8. https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/24/astronomer-hr-chief-kristin-cabot-resigns-after-coldplay-kiss-cam.html Looks like all that's left now in this fairytale romance are their respective appearances on the media circuit in a few months attempting to cast blame on others for their unfair treatment. Maybe some gofundme campaigns for that run of Coldplay shows coming up at Wembley Stadium in the fall.
  9. I like the district that goes from Pearland to the northermost point of Texas. 700 miles/10 hr drive
  10. Its not, they keep it around for structure but that's basically it.
  11. No, but we can now look forward to 3-5 announced setbacks over the next week.
  12. They will look down on minority supporting whites; and blame their problems on those who feed the slaves and allowed/promoted immigration. Because you know America has always has always been white, like it was when God made it.
  13. This reminds me of the only times I listened to Rush Limbaugh and watched Chrisley Knows Best, both for five minutes at most, and knew they were con artists. It was not all that difficult.
  14. Thanks! I like Lyn so that was a fun read. I do struggle to blame the central bank for the looming debt/inflation crisis, though. I feel like the blame falls at the feet of congress for allowing the debt to GDP to rise year after year for decades, to the point where even modest interest rates essentially double the deficit. Is your position that the fed could have used higher short term interest rates the last 20 years to reduce congress’s spending before it got to this point? Or that the fed should’ve never bought treasuries? It feels like a teenager with a drug problem and a parent that loves them, that won’t let them crater and end up living under a bridge, which eventually leads to everyone living under the bridge.
  15. Bullshit payments need to stop, schools should pay, salary caps based on divisions, new super league needed, NIL is whatever the kid can make based on his or her image. Just like NFL. But fuck all that we are finally operating with the advantage so fuck it all wild Wild West no changes make it all legal no regulation.
  16. Back from vacation, did we have any amputations yet?
  17. Laureano+Morton would be a better trade than Mullins
  18. ⚾️ Immaculate Grid 845 9/9: Rarity: 8 IMMACULATE! 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩 ➡️ See my grid: https://immaculategrid.com/share/2G4BbfY
  19. We are here, some for that very reason. I don't have anything to add other than offering support for those of you in the fight. Fuck Cancer
  20. If the Big 10 wanted CU or Utah, they would have added them in ‘23. I see KU fans bring it up sometimes, but again - how many rounds of Big 10 expansion come and gone without it? Pretty clear they’re waiting for the end of the ACC GOR.
  21. Gerry Hamilton Posted 8 minutes ago Recruiting: Two decisions on deck Texas is back in the top 5 recruiting classes once again, and there are two more decisions prior to the state of the season that could vault the Longhorns even higher. Texas still has the potential to sign a class of 27 or 28 prospects. If that happens, the Longhorns will likely be in the mix for a second strgith No. 1 ranked class. Davon Benjamin, DB, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian The 4-star++ versatile defensive back will announce either August 2 or the 5th, with the the second being the current announced date. Oregon has been considered the favorite for the majority of his recruitment. Texas and Michigan are providing true competition, and the Longhorns are all in. Steve Sarkisian is part of this recruitment, along with Mark Orphey, Duane Akina, area recruiter Johnny Nansen and DC Pete Kwiatkowski. Washington and North Carolina will have hats at the table. Jake Kreul, EDGE, Orlando (Fla.) IMG Academy The OTF 4-star+ EDGE was considered an Oklahoma lean headed into OV's and through most of June. Now a month later, Texas has momentum here with a final push. Ole Miss and Oklahoma also remain in the mix. The Longhorns want a pass rush specialist in the class, and Kruel is the best prospect in that regard on the board. Kruel could commit in early August, or wait until October. IMG Academy has their media day the first week of August. Texas will work to flip ... Where the Texas class ultimately finish in the class rankings will not be decided until flips candidates and a potential senior riser signs in December. Malakai Lee, OT, Honolulu (Hi.) Kamehameha - *Michigan commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++ Trenton Henderson, EDGE, Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic - *LSU commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star Jalen Lott, WR, Frisco (Texas) Panther Creek - *Oregon commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++ OTF believes offensive tackle, EDGE, linebacker, wide receiver and defensive back are positions currently still on the table.
  22. Their strategy to avoid application of discrimination laws is interesting. Apparently, first you have to join a "PMA," a private membership association. This would seem not to offend discrimination laws, as a pretty much purely private matter. Then, once you are a member of the PMA, you can purchase shares or units of the LLC that owns the land. Again, mostly a private matter. But owning shares in the LLC then entitles you to occupation of the land itself and to build on the land. And this is where it gets sticky for them under the Fair Housing Act, among other statutes. I think this might, at least under oldlaw, be resolved in the same way as Shelley v. Kraemer, the state action is found in asking courts to enforce all of this legal mumbo jumbo in order to discriminate.
  23. Literally yesterday: Housing data
  24. The Miami Herald had to shame the FBI into doing their job. I can see a scenario where there's lack of indictable evidence due to scant, almost willfully reluctant investigation into unanswered questions that only creates more public pressure for more investigation.
