  1. Ah yes, standard Republican cowardice. Are we in power? Then fuck your feelings! Are we out of power? Then be nice! Pussies.

  2. And she's 100% right. This country has always required black people to show amazing amounts of grace in the face of absolute hatred. It never affords a black person the same level of anger that it does white people. Our nation requires black people to turn the other cheek when confronted or attacked. It requires black people to always be the bigger person. Look at any time a black person is assaulted on Twitter and expected to forgive the attacker. Now watch as the angry black woman (Kamala) will be the meme going forward from the right. Fuck that side and their alternate reality. They can reconcile with us when they choose to accept what this country has become and not the fantasyland they wish it to be.

  3. 1) Someone on a an internet message board saying the Koch family should burn in hell isn't representative of any "party" or ideology. It's a statement that stems from frustrations over some rich assholes who fund a bunch of nefarious bullshit(you know, creating vitriol) not facing any consequences whatsoever. 2) Unless you are a member of the Koch family, nobody told you to burn in hell, you fucking wannabe victim. God damn you're such a Karen. It's surly, grow a pair.

  4. Hey guys. if you aren’t tolerant of everything, you are intolerant. So you are really no better than those that are intolerant of most things. So get off the high horse on your moral high ground, because the fuck your feelings group can’t handle being told that they are bad people that deserve scorn and vengeance, because you are no better.

  8. Her campaign sucked. She is a tone deaf politician, and she cast her run for the presidency as some sort of personal hero’s journey. “HERstory.” What a terrible fucking slogan. She did not have any major policy views. Although health care was her issue in the 90s, she fell short and by 2016 it was Obama’s victory to claim. As a result, her pitch was “Vote for ME.” Because she’s not a charismatic or particularly likable public figure, that pitch failed miserably. She would have been a much better president than Donald Trump and it’s not even close. But she did an absolutely terrible job running for the office.

  9. Good, then stop whining. The fact that some Democrats are even considering reconciliation is a gift to the evil idiots in the Republican side. The correct thing to do is bludgeon people like you regarding your stupidity and/or complicity for the rest of your lives.

  14. He literally said “If I’m the Texas coach at the end of the OU game, I go for two, because I’m not a pussy”. I mean, he didn’t say it in that many words, and he might not have been even talking about Texas, but that’s what he meant.

  17. Clinton might be a terrible person but her presidency would have been infinitely better for America than Trump. Voting against a person you don't like is different than voting against someone unfit for office.

  19. reminds me of a high point in my time at the university. we were drunk and watching cable access late one night at the dorm and there was this trippy call in show called puppetose. it consisted of a puppet with a tie die type background spouting conspiracy nonsense and fielding calls and just taking shit and delivering shittalking answers. so i called in one night when the puppet was on about some undiscovered moon called "enda" that the government was covering up. i said that i knew about enda and wanted to talk about it, and the puppet said to go for it. i said "it's the end of my dick, motherfucker" and, without missing a beat, the puppet responded "the end of your dick is one inch from your body" and moved onto the next call. was so goddamn funny. cable access in austin circa 1998 for the fucking win.

  20. I hate to say it, but if we can't get Urban Meyer, then we need to be really careful. There is no point in replacing Tom Herman with another Tom Herman or a Charlie Strong. In my thinking, there is only one man on the list, and his name is Urban Meyer.

  21. Honestly, I’m watching this slow moving disintegration, I’ve come to realize this ends in a whimper, not a bang. People will start to drift away as states certify. Career’s will refuse orders, and only the most committed cabinet members will try to hold on and enforce his will, often running up against “no, I refuse, and you have no way to make me in the time left” Trump will eventually move down to Mara Lago, abandon all pretense of governing and wallow in despair and grievance. Former never Trumpers turned MAGA heads will suddenly reappear as Reaganites as if nothing happened “Who?!!! Never heard of the guy!” Biden will eventually sue the GSA and get the keys to the transition. Trump staff will attempt to embed, and not assist with the transition, but it will grind forward, as the careers step in. The WH will engage in an orgy of records and property destruction. January 20 will come and Biden will be sworn in and have to immediately get to work with little fanfare, including dragging appointed people out of agency jobs who refuse to resign. By 5pm on 1/20, Mitch McConnell will declare all of the country’s travails Joe Biden’s fault.

  24. I've still never seen anyone explain just what was so bad about Hillary. What about her policies or abilities as a politician were bad? Her record in Congress wasn't poor, definitely better than both Cruz and Cornyn, and she was mostly left center but closer to center much like Bill. I've never seen anything to suggest she would have been a bad president let alone anywhere near as destructive and inept as trump. I'm convinced it's all just a right wing republican Fox news smear job. They spent so much time and effort slandering her over and over that you people just fell for it and created this intense dislike or hatred that's based purely on propaganda. How many times will you let republican propaganda fuck with your head with lies before you wake up?

  25. Parents were hippies / radicals. I can't remember a time before I thought the president was a crook -- my parents hated Nixon so much. I heard a shit ton about Watergate but did not have an inkling of what it was about, but I did know it was just more of Nixon being an evil crook. I also remember seeing Reagan on TV around 1975 -- I think he was a contestant on a game show, and my mom saying he was another crook. She also told me the Shah of Iran was terrible, so my perspective on the Iranian revolution was a little different than most kids. Not that I sided with the revolutionaries, but I recognized they'd toppled a bad man. I jumbled up wars in my head. We had lots of books about WW II and I read about the Battle of Britain, and I knew we were at war with Vietnam, so I put two and two together and thought jetliners going overhead were Vietcong bombers. Apparently they were always on the way to some other target because I am still here to type this. It gets more fucked up...Dad made absolutely no secret of his pot smoking. He'd light up in the car on the way to school, picking me up, whenever he felt like it at home...This in spite of the fact he was on probation for a fairly large bust in Houston, the one that forced us to move to Nashville, where he got on a more lenient form of probation. Anyway, he and his buddies would be passing one around and I'd hear something about how this was primo shit from Colombia. Because of the cloud around dad's bust, I associated the government with cops....And then one day I asked dad what the DC in Washington DC stood for. He told me it stood for District of Columbia, and a light bulb went off. It was the capital and it was where all the cops were and all the cops cared about was busting people for weed, so they named their city after the cause they were fighting for. They were going through a divorce at the time and most often I was at my mom's house, and she would let me stay up and watch the early seasons of SNL, so I think I knew more of Ford and Carter through Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd than I did the men themselves. Ford fell down a lot and Carter always smiled and had a drunk fatass brother.

  27. I mean, look at how he handled his casinos: he was all about that life, until they failed, then he walked away and left it a morass of bankruptcy filings and restructures, only to show up when he thought it gave him positive press during the Apprentice years. Eventually Carl Icahn bailed him out, but by then, it was Trump’s name only in legal filings and on the placard. Did the same with the Apprentice when the ratings collapsed. he’ll do the same here: walk away and leave other people to figure it out. Reappear when it helps his next grift. But he’ll leave the final battles to other people. Grinding personally has never been his way.

  35. Let's be clear here. There is no "biblical age of the earth." Most Young Earth Creationism stems from the work of James Ussher, who initially proposed the year 4004 BC back in the 17th century. Modern American Creationism dates to the early 20th century (particular Henry Morris in the mid-20th). All of these depend on a literal interpretation of the Bible, which as early as the 4th century was rejected by Christian scholars (notably St. Augustine of Hippo).

  36. Here's how old I am. When Watergate hearings were on, I got my dad's reel to reel out, and got my 7ish sister to be interviewed. I taped the interviews at slow speed and then played them back at regular speed, so we sounded like mice. I asked her a bunch of questions trying to sound like the committee members on TV (Sam Ervin?) I told her that she had to answer every question with "I don't recollect."
