Is a week out not enough time, or not even necessary, for restaurant reservations? Wife and I are going next Thursday-Saturday. Staying at Cosmo for a conference, haven’t decided where we want to eat. The only concerts we saw for next weekend was Bruno Mars for like $600/ticket.

We jumped on dinner reservations weeks in advance and still struggled for mid-week times at the better restaurants. I would at least begin to search and see how it looks.

We booked a few of ours back in March.  Still have a few evenings with no reservations yet, but simply because we haven't tried.  Just gonna roll the dice those evenings and see what we can get.  Might not get what we would want, but we definitely won't go to bed hungry.

Yeah, it does.   Wonder if Brian Thomas still working there?

Out, as of Nov 2020:

Entertainer, Brian Thomas, one of the premier mini entertainers in Las Vegas, is announcing his departure from his decade-long legacy role as Lucky, the Leprechaun, with the Caesar’s Entertainment and O’Sheas Casino, located at The LINQ Hotel & Casino and LINQ Promenade.

And now we’re back to masks for everyone starting Friday

The guidance is recommended, not mandated.  Right?

Yeah, that's all very confusing to me. The CDC is now "recommending" masks whether or not you're vaccinated, bot not "requiring" them. And Nevada is saying they're following the CDC's guidelines. But, Nevada is "requiring" them starting Friday? If you drill down into the Emergency Directive they noted, it says...

Quote

Effective immediately, Section 4 of Directive 045 is amended to read as follows:

Effective at 12:01 a.m. on the third day following the CDC's release of any guidance related to face coverings, individuals not exempted by Directive 024, Directive 028, or guidance issued by the Nevada Health Response, shall be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or face covering in a manner consistent with the guidance issued by the CDC, and any subsequent guidance issued by the CDC. This Section does not apply to participants in certain activities or events, including but not limited to: athletes, performers, or musicians, to the extent other directives set forth less restrictive face covering requirements for those participants.

Well, to me "consistent with the guidance issued by the CDC" would mean they are recommended, not required...no? 🤷‍♂️

CDC can’t and never has “required” masks. They don’t have that authority. Previously it was recommended also. Think of it as they have recommended that they be required.

Thank an anti-vaxxer today!
