Regarding other thoughts after chatting around: -If I were a 247 $9.95er and had anything between my legs, I'd already have taken a shot putting a crystal ball JSN in for Texas. Texas lacks those types covering the team, so, of course there's nothing fun happening yet. -Along those same lines, I'd be putting Ringo on cloudy. Georgia might win it, but they can't just do whatever the fuck they want with impunity. You don't tug on Sabanman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, you don't pull the mask off of the ol'Lone Ranger, and you don't mess around with Jim(bo). -Looking good for Eaton, Jordan, and Collins. Look, Collins will actually have to visit somewhere besides Austin before I get too concerned. -Fucking Milroe is a beast. He's impacting 2020-2022. -The Ritz Bit and his crew are fucking idiots. They could fuck up a wet dream. -Karic gets rave reviews from Dodge and crew. They think he's absolutely a future starting tackle in college and potentially beyond.31 points

Dameyune Craig got shitfaced and had to be ubered home. The potato salad apparently sat out too long and anyone who had some regretted it almost immediately. Players were negative recruiting. Balls to the face. Terry Price pulled up draft results on his phone and several guys pointed out that Texas had more defenders drafted in the last 7 years than ATM and he got pissed off. You are a softballin' motherfucker, texifornia, and I dig that about you.23 points

My parents are in the same boat. They are red team cheerleaders to the deathbed and if you asked them why, they would just parrot what they heard on Fox News that day. If al-Baghdadi won the republican primary on a campaign to bring ISIS to every town in America, they would go out and buy Make ISIS Great Again hats. They also have trouble logging into their iPhones and cannot be trusted to remember wifi passwords. They are, however, experts at sharing memes on Facebook. I suspect they are the largest category of the current GOP. Aging white adults who shut down critical thought years ago and now allow themselves to be programed by the propaganda coming from the party they swore allegiance to when Reagan sold them on the laffer curve.8 points

Funny, that's not how I read that line at all. While Moore could be an attrition candidate for obvious reasons, as well as Woodard after hearing repeatedly that he just might not ever play at Texas, that makes sense. But considering IT was the first to bang the drum about JSN, I read those comments as basically, we're taking 3, and it will be 4 if we can flip him. That's what I read into those comments. Particularly after they stressed how they were happy other sites were throwing cold water on the JSN info.7 points

To be fair, they've had so many. Also, making fun of them is "not cool"?!? They got away with fucking negligent homicide. The cocksuckers can certainly stand a little sarcasm. I see zero reason for an embargo on the subject.7 points

I was a little over a year old. He was on his first flight as an Aircraft Commander when it happened. He helicopter was hit by an RPG while on a combat extraction mission. He had been in country for about 5 months and had just turned 24. A few years ago I found this story posted. It was written by the guy flying the helicopter right behind my Dad. It's kind of wierd to read, but it did provide some closure for me as to what happened. Here is the story if anyone wants to read it. http://www.thedonovan.com/archives/2007/08/clearing_out_a.html For most of my life, I had never met anyone who had served with my Dad. About 2004, I was at work surfing Austin channel 8's web page and there was a story about a local filmmaker who had done a documentary about the Huey helicopter and what it had meant to the Vietnam Veterans. They had restored a Huey and flown it around the country and filmed veterans taking one last ride on a Huey. It was pretty cool and the story said that the film would be debuted about a week later at Bass Concert Hall. I badly wanted tickets, so I called the number listed and spoke to the wife of the director. They had done the film together. She said she was sorry that the premier was going to be only for people involved with the film, but that I could go once it was released to the public. I said thanks and told her why i wanted to buy some tickets and without hesitation she asked how many tickets I wanted. I asked for 4 (me, my sife, my older sister, and my mom). She also asked what unit my Dad had been in and when I told her she couldn't believe it. Three of the guys in the film had been in his unit and two of them had served at the same time. We went to the premier and then to a VIP party afterward and I got to meet the guys that knew my Dad. They told me tons of stories about him that I never would have otherwise heard. They invited me to a reunion they have every other year at Fort Rucker in Alabama. I went and met several more guys that knew my dad and many of them brought pictures. They adopted me as their son and wouldn't let me buy and drink for the entire weekend. I didn't pay for anything all weekend. They also had a website through which another guy my Dad knew said he might have some old 9mm video with my Dad on it. He took it have it transferred to VHS and mailed it to me, and sure enough he was on the video. It was only for a few seconds, but it was the only video I had ever seen of my Dad. That man died just a few months after he sent me the video. I still stay in touch with those guys from his unit and I'm forever grateful for what they did for me. This is a long way of saying, talk to those veterans. They have lots of unbelievable stories to tell.7 points

I mean, I watched most of their games last year. I watch 40-50 games a weekend in the fall, mostly sober. I follow their recruiting and roster management since they're relevant to us in this state for recruiting. I read the magazines and their practice updates. I cannot, for the life of me, understand the thinking on their end that they are a top 10, possibly a top 5 team in performance or talent this year. I understand delusion and aggie logic. I just ..., well, it's insane. They have a bunch of dudes named Bob on the DL besides Marmaduke. Maybe if Johnson and Hines are healthy all season they'll be okay at LB. They don't have a legitimate CB that can cover something better than a dead man. They've got safeties, but they're either slow, inexperienced, or both. They lost their best OL and have a bunch of guards named Jagger. Mond is fine if he can go uninjured. He's not going to carry the team, however. Corbin is apparently a fine back, but he's replacing the conference leader. They lost their best TE and have a tackle dummy lining up there right now. They've got solid receiving talent. The schedule is fucking embarrassing at the bottom and ruthless at the top. I'm not saying they face a clean sweep of the top 4 games, but I also don't believe they run the table on Auburn, SC, Arkansas, Miss State, and Ole Miss. They could easily lose 3 of those games and 3/4 of the big 4 that they play and struggle to make the postseason. They'll need to be healthy and lucky to do something better than 7-6 this year. The best 7-6 in the country, no doubt, but come the fuck on.6 points

I think the drop off at CB against the run is flying under the radar and is going to frustrate some people in the fall. Kris Boyd was very good from the corner spot in that phase of the game. Unique blend of size, speed, and aggressiveness for the position. Part of why I think his NFL fit is nickel, long term. Last year, Davante Davis appeared to finally realize he was 6'2" 200+ pounds and showed some desire to hit people. He had 4 TFLs last year, which is pretty good for a corner. Cook, Davis, and Boyce are not as big/strong and, in the limited reps they've had, aren't as enthusiastic about tackling as Boyd/Davis were last year. Between that and losing Gary Johnson, I would absolutely be looking to test Texas to the outside. In coverage there will definitely be a drop off from Boyd. He had his bad moments but he was All B12 and on the Thorpe list for a reason. All things considered, he acquitted himself pretty well given he was lining up against NFL talent at WR damn near every week. Davis was never great and inconsistent even as a senior. I'm not ready to say it's addition by subtraction there, ala Hager, because we've seen so little of the next generation in live action. But I don't imagine it will get that much worse. All in all, expect a fair amount of big plays in the passing game. That's life in the B12 in general, and it's sure as hell life in the B12 when your base defense includes four sophomore DBs, regardless of what they were ranked coming out of HS.5 points

It's truly amazing, honestly. This is why I laugh when I see posters talk about people voting with their wallets. You could set your watch by that all the way up through the 90s. Now people watch a Dem president fix their fucking problems and then vote for the exact opposite. This dumbshit town will vote for Donald 2:1 again in 2020 as well. Nothing makes sense anymore.5 points

It's the same tired brainwashing tactic the GOP used against Hillary. Just incessantly carpet bomb with accusations, and even when buffoons like Kevin McCarthy publicly admit a motivation for investigation was to hurt her poll numbers, the Onboards of the world will still contend "NOBODY" (all caps) is more corrupt. It doesn't matter how meritorious the accusations are or how many turds of doom are thrown against the wall that fail to stick. All that matters is that you manufacture smoke. If Obama's Christian pastor hating America doesn't gain traction, just move on to claiming he's a foreign Muslim and 3/4 of the GOP won't even question the credibility of the contradictory accusations or the accusers. Same with the "Fake News" and why virtually a day doesn't go by without Trump using the term or making an evidence-free accusation that will get overshadowed by tomorrow's next evidence-free accusation. He knows that endless repetition works on his followers who project that assumption onto everyone else and think posting Project Veritas (lol) lists with pithy "that's odd" comments are supposed to mean something nefarious is afoot.5 points

Yeah, it's not funny that their ignorance and negligence killed students. It's also not funny that aggy has done everything to make those who lost their lives because of their ineptitude martyrs to the aggy cause, and threatened the families to not sue. Maybe I should have posted pics of the equestrian arena, the basketball arena, the aggy engineered high school stadium that didn't have enough rebar, the renovated Kroger Field that almost collapsed because they played "Sandstorm", or any of the myriad of pitiful aggy engineering designs. Point is, idiots are always on the verge of almost killing people. Funny it's only been 12, so far. And yeah, that was a bonfire collapse that didn't kill anyone, but should have been a warning, but, you know, aggy.5 points
