  1. So Burton just posted that oh there's so much going on behind the scenes, looking at other coaches, blah blah. I'm telling you right now this seems like a giant fucking foot-drag. They aren't even good at it. Like they are trying to give enough info to make it look like there's stuff happening in order to give Urbs cover until he takes the job. Is this conspiratorial thinking? Yes. Are College Football coaching searches the perfect place for such a mindset? Absolutely. The silence is deafening.

  2. Okay, so I scoured the OSU and John Glenn airports in Columbus for interesting flights over the last few days (I also checked Longview and Tyler airports as suggested), and this is what I've got. Plane 1: Went Laredo TX to Columbus last night. Owned and operated by Kalitta Charters, a flight charter company out of Michigan that is reputable -- e.g., does a lot of work for the Department of Defense -- and operates out of Bergstrom and in other TX areas. Plane returned to Kalitta HQ after the trip. Plane 2: Went Houston to Columbus on Monday, then Columbus to Sarasota FL yesterday. Operated by NetJets, so not reaching much into subsequent stops. Plane 3: After being in Columbus late last week, went to Longview and Brownsville TX last Thursday. On Sunday, it went from Brownsville back to Columbus. Plane 4: One of the planes we were tracking last week that went from Horseshoe Bay to KOSU this past Sunday. Bounced around since then (it's another NetJets-operated plane), but it's upcoming itinerary for today and tomorrow is showing Chicago --> KOSU --> Horseshoe Bay. Plane 5: Went from Sarasota to KOSU earlier in the week. Has made a couple hops in South Carolina since then, with next leg to Clemson SC this afternoon. Clearly Urban coming back from the FL vacation and checking out a couple SC golf courses before going to steal Brent Venables away from Clemson.

  3. I am not going to say a bunch of shit I want to say to you right now as I sit waiting to start a case at a hospital 45 minutes from where I usually do cases. I am here because the other hospital, one of the 4 biggest in the area and a level 1 trauma center, is literally over capacity with Covid. They have 4 ICUs and they are all full of covid patients. They have converted the post op nursing unit to another ICU. Nurses have 3 patients each which is insane if you know anything about critical care. The other main hospital I work at is also closed for all but life and limb threatening surgeries because their ICU is full. In 20+ years of practice I have never seen a hospital with every ICU bed filled. We have several in our area, and it’s all the tertiary care centers. I have a colleague who had a patient have a significant surgical complication and they are in a small community hospital that technically has an ICU but if the patient worsens there is no higher level of care to transfer them to. Shit is very very bad right now. You need to listen to people who know what they are talking about and not spread misinformation. People are going to start dying from shit like appendicitis and heart attacks because there will be nowhere for them to get care.

  10. Guys. Fellas. Gentle-men. I was merely reaching out derpy for some advice on the best kind of large private jet to charter for a long weekend trip with my wife traversing the midwest, parts of Colorado and greater Los Angeles. You're reading way too much into me asking for someone to check their PMs.

  15. Yeah. It just can't happen. It's even dumber than the conversations I have with people regarding Socialism and Communism creeping into America. It can't happen. Why you ask? "Can you define Socialism?" (They usually can't, but lets pretend.) "It's where a country's government owns/operates various products, production methods, and services on behalf of the people." "Ok, so in this world where we become socialists, and the government controls everything, what exactly happens to the corporations like Google or Exxon?" "Well they take control of them of course, EVERYTHING becomes State Owned! It's socialism." "Ok, so you think that everyone is going to be onboard with the US military storming and taking control of the offices of Apple, Google, BP and Royal Dutch Shell, even though they're global, multi-national corporations, some with main offices in Europe not America, and they legally own resources all over the world. You think we're going to just 'Take' those and there won't be a massive war over it involving literally everyone else on the planet? What about the land/leases someone like Shell owns in the North Sea, or off the coast of Denmark. Who gets that? This all sounds easy and feasible to you?" "You're a real fucking asshole." "Yeah, but I'd love it if you could even crudely map out how that works on the back of a napkin." "Fuck you." "No mom, fuck you."

  16. It's not going to happen because aggy would much rather stay at #5 and talk about how they would've beaten all those playoff teams if they got in instead of actually playing them. It's who they are.

  17. Spent last year hunting without a dog then decided to bail a 6 month old GSP mutt (Milo) out of the local pound a year ago to assist. She can't point worth a shit but works great as a flusher, got her first rooster after Thanksgiving. Should of had 3-4 more but I can't shoot worth a shit. We were hunting a weedy draw in the middle of a corn field, Milo started sniffing a giant weed pile then jumped in...3 roosters flew out maybe 5 yards away from me, missed the first then the gun jammed on the reload. She also flushed a rooster on the edge of a field in some weeds that flew right across my line of sight at 15 yards...3 shots and nothing. She was so disappointed in me. Still a 10/10 great time, nothing better than seeing your dog get birdy and go nuts tracking a bird.

  20. One is an exercise of the 1st amendment. The other is a subversion of our democracy and constitution. Comparing the two would be like the Astros justifying their cheating by saying other teams were practicing. Other than that, totally agree.

  21. They associate binders with school and, thus, smart people stuff. They never understood what was in the binders they used in school and still don’t understand what’s in whatever binders they have now. But it’s probably something pretty smart, because it’s in a binder!

  22. Some notes from Burtons article -said to be patient about a coaching search. Expects to happen after conference championship games but before playoffs -Still fully expects Tom Herman gone -UM has rebuffed our overtures...for now but can change with a text or call any day. Open ended -Ian Boyd is touting Sonny fucking Dykes...thats worse than Kubiak IMO -Conflicting info on Mullen but said things may not be entirely rosy in Gainesville -Gerry said the odds of retaining Herman are way less than 5%

  23. Crowd skepticism warranted, but two flights leaving KOSU for HSB at the same time (to the minute) is highly, highly unusual. Most traffic out of KOSU is either loop flights (right back to KOSU) or to other parts of Ohio, not a lot of out-of-state (especially to TX). HSB is just low traffic generally. Just saying, noteworthy. There really aren't, normally. Will just say that the number through the course of last week appears to be an outlier.

Every time. - Enter CR, post stupid shit you saw on Facebook with high levels of confidence - Get owned by facts - Make no effort to defend your case with facts of your own - Go to the football board or Daily Texan and cry about the mean old CR cabal that hurt your feelings

  30. Yeah once Texas’s top attorney actively jumped into the outhouse hole and started smearing shit on himself at the expense of the citizens of the Great State of Texas, Cornyn kinda sorta gave him a side-eye. Fuck Cornyn.

Reach down and get some Alamo back in you. Pick a place you like, hold it, and make the other guys so fuckin miserable that they leave.

  32. Easy for you to say that now that there's about 0.01% chance Urbs comes to Texas. Son, you appear to be on the wrong thread. This is the Urban Meyer or Bust BDE only thread. The Throw in The Towel Like a Lameass Puss thread, is over there -------------------->

  34. Beautiful looking pup there, Ted. Looks happy as a clam to be out and about. Was able to take advantage of the cold weather this weekend in Mason. Had a long sit on Saturday that resulted in me rattling a nice 9 into bow range, but I couldn’t get a shot off due to branches being in the way. Sunday morning, this guy popped out at the second feed time just after 8:30. Ran 60 yards after bleeding like a motherfucker, he piled up in a pretty picturesque spot representative of Texas hunting (and right by the road, so putting him in the pickup was easy). We pegged him at 3.5 years old. He had definitely been rutting hard, patches of missing hair from rubs all over the front half of his body. Little fat on him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  35. My lawn guy just told me that he saw Urban Meyer and CDC playing golf at Butler Pitch and Putt this morning. Or at least I think that's what he was saying. He doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish but either way, we're getting Urban boys.

  38. I work with Walker Littles brother. He is reporting Urban was at Escandido in Austin playing golf recently...was told this by friend who is a member there. Oh and the story about a Texas coach clogging up the toilet in their home is not accurate. They just did not like Herman.

  39. Most OU fans realize a strong UT is absolutely vital for the long term health of this league...and more importantly vital for the best rivalry game in all of sports. Make it so, Urban. LFG

  40. Because our fans have a weird sort of entitlement. They believe that coaches would drown their own children just to come here because they think “We’re Texas” means anything. The facts don’t support this. We’re an average/mediocre program with a few highlights here and there for the last 4 decades. We’ve won a conference title only 8 times in that time period. To put it into perspective, ou has won more titles in the last 10 years than we have in the last 40 across 2 different conferences. They hire good coaches. We’re too busy showing off how much money we have. We overpay for shitty coaches and wonder why they aren’t putting in the work to build a winner. There’s too much comfort when you earn $5m, win or lose. Sure, you say all the right things but the product on the field is lacking. There should never be a scenario where Coastal Carolina is ranked and we’re not even in the “others receiving votes” when we bring in highly ranked recruiting classes. Also, there is no parity in college football anymore. It is top heavy. The same teams are always competing for the title. It will take Saban or Dabo retiring to change that. Ohio State is a perfect example. 3 coaches in the last 20 years and they are always a contender. A down year at tOSU is 2 losses. We can’t even manage that in a down year for the Big 12.
