A friend of mine just posted that she had a lifelong friend who went to the ER Friday night with an asthma attack. The ER told her they didn't have any capacity to take her and to go home and let them know if it got worse. She died overnight. The anti-vax fucksticks filling up the hospital literally murdered that person. If you aren't going to get the shot, keep your stupid fucking ass home from the hospital. You don't believe in medicine or science so just sit home and eat zinc or pray or use voodoo or whatever the fuck, but quit murdering people because you're a pouty little snowflake bitch.21 points

I was diagnosed with Chronic Myleiod Leukemia in 2016 and have been on what I’d call chemo “light” since early 2017. Got my Moderna shots in January and February. My oncologist called yesterday to recommend the #3 booster shot. I walked into Walgreens yesterday around 5pm and got it. I feel like hammered dog shit today, just like I did after #2, but happy as hell to have gotten it.17 points

Because fuck you, peon, that's why. Member of The Party gets: daily testing, immediate access to sledgehammer treatment for COVID. The schoolchildren of Texas get: good luck, little fuckers! The MAGA crowd crows against "the elites, who don't care about the little guy!".....and then proceed to rapaciously fellate The Party elites who are openly telling them "I don't give a fuck about any of you!" The stupidity...it burns.16 points

Fuck this guy right through his fucking wheel chair seat with a barbed wire baseball bat. While he gets access to the premium therapeutic cocktail he’s letting all the dipshits in this state put the rest of us at risk to avoid hurting their precious little freedom feelings. What a fucking feckless cunt.16 points

Imagine voluntarily admitting yourself to a hospital where you believe the doctors are lying to you. Roll these cunts to the curb and give the bed to someone else.16 points

The virus has not evaded the vaccines via mutation yet. Delta is optimized for cell entry, generates a high viral load, and overwhelms the modest immune response that the vaccines generate in the respiratory mucosa. Once the virus is in, the vaccine does a good great job at preventing severe disease. If there is a problem to conjure with the vaccines, it's just that we need something that pumps out a better IgA response in the respiratory mucosa to stop the virus at point of entry. But the vaccines have not mutated around the vaccine-mediated immune response. In the long term, COVID will go endemic and pop up from time to time. Most people will be fine, some people with die. Mostly dumbasses that don't get vaccinated for dumbass reasons. Your son's friend was not vaccinated, Your son was. Your son's friend got very sick, your son did not. There is a lesson here.14 points

This is a good post. Delta evolved sometime in October 2020 in a non-vaccinated population. It has not evolved to evade the vaccine, because it predates the vaccine. It just happens to be a really nasty fucker that causes very high viral load very quickly. That is causing infections, but the vaccine is strongly protecting against severe disease and death. Some of the nasal vaccine candidates might help this down the road by producing a stronger response in the respiratory mucosal lining. That said, if someone told us 18 months ago the vaccine would only be 40% against transmission, but WAY over 90% for preventing severe disease progression and closer to 99% on preventing death, we would all take that and be celebrating the way we would if we found out they cloned VY and he's committed in the next recruiting class.11 points

Blood thinners isn't what keeps people out of the hospital. Nor does parasite medication or zinc or Vitamin C. Maybe a select population that is high risk for a coagulopathy would benefit from anticoagulants once infected but blood clots are not what is putting relatively healthy 30-60 year olds in the hospital. You know what prevents them from getting there? Being careful about not getting the virus in the first place and vaccines. Extremely low risk vaccinations.11 points

This is a good move. Now, if they would also require vaccination for rabies, that would be spectacular.11 points
