  3. OK, for all the weird mfs who apparently don't follow Texas football very closely. We have 5-star talents at QB, RB, and WR. We are about to rip everyone some brand new assholes. Quit your sad soyboy nonsense and get your ass a cup of this fucking koolaid already. Jesus, y'all need to get laid or something.

  5. To be fair, until the Dems learn to drown the fascists without care for how it looks, we're fucked. We have one party that's fine doing whatever they want to achieve a stated goal and another that doesn't want to appear to be mean. Dems need to learn to have actual convictions. Fascists are waging war on this country and Dems are being pacifists... You can't hug a bully into submission

  6. lawyers here and on twitter are twisting themselves into knots trying to figure out "what are they thinking?" they are not thinking. they're not trying to think. they're not trying to get anything accomplished legally. their plan is to delay and distract. it will work. it always works. it's working already. everyone is pointing at the bomb squad in die hard 3 without noticing what the fucking garbage trucks are doing. edit - were they dump trucks? i can't remember that movie is so fucking long.

  9. and an offense led by a gun-slinging, strong-armed qb who is one of the highest rated qb's of all time. do i think this team is going to be great? no. do i think the defense will be lucky to be middle of the road? yes. but if you aren't excited to watch this offense against all non-alabama opponents, i feel bad for you.

  10. Immamac; You sir, get a pass, for all that you do for all of us. The chronicle of the Arkansas Road Trip was legendary and would have lived in infammy, but for the fact Texas laid a gigantic turd on the field. For the rest of you whiny, spineless, weasels w/ nary a grey hair, or any hair at all on your nads, This. Just taking out the trash and refreshing the attitude is a step change from last year, even if the remaining personnel was exactly the same. The personnel is better at every position, with the possible exception at RB, which was already among the best in college football. The coaching is better. The Defensive coaches were hired thinking we were getting Muschamp as a Coordinator. We didn't. That was tough spot to put Kwiatkowski in, new players, new coaches, and a new league. Us olds new Fayetteville would be a pressure cooker, too bad Sark didn't know the depth of passion Arkansas has for Texas. Think of Sam standing on the field for "The Eyes of Texas", alone, by himself. One of the most disappointing things I have ever seen by any Texas player. That is but a part of the bag of shit Sark inherited. If you can't see the difference between that and (i) a true freshman, Kelvin Banks, trying to boost Jordan Whittington after a drop in practice or (ii) Junior Angilau, sporting a knee brace two days after a season ending injury working, with the freshmen OL at practice, or (iii) Worthy, Ewers, & Co. actively recruiting for Texas, then perhaps mommy & daddy's money got you into Texas, cause it doesn't seem like your elevator is making it all the way to the top. Sark gets nothing but praise from every player and coach that offers an opinion in the press. Every one. He'll make mistakes, like over valuing the players he inherited, or trying to hire Stoops. He's in offensive savant who connects with players and their parents, and that's as much as you can ask for. Finally, Johnny, maybe when you're not hunting & fishing & falling in Texas, maybe you can get a guest spot w/ Liucci and discuss the symptoms of Battered Aggy Syndrome.

  12. You can hate Tom Herman all you want he never had a losing season, went and won every bowl and won a sugar bowl. Sark hadn't done shit except go 5-7 with the best RB in the country.

  13. Traylor was offered a deal that was below, but not unreasonably lower, than what Tech and TCU were offering him, in order for him to stay at UTSA and within the UT system. Were a school to come calling anytime soon for him, there's a buyout associated to getting him that isn't small. The only exception to that would be another school hiring him within the UT system. This was engineered thoughtfully. If Sarkisian doesn't get it done between now and the end of the 2024 season, and if Traylor keeps demonstrating that he has it all together at UTSA, he'd be the leader in the clubhouse as the next guy. A lot of us wanted Meyer, unapologetically. If Texas could hire Urban Meyer right now, I would be cheering Seven Loss Steve to the exit and laughing at every person on the boards clutching their pearls about the game being past Meyer or worrying about him being an asshole or a philanderer. 12 years wandering in the desert, with more to come, have taught me where I draw the line on what I'll accept to win at Texas. As it turns out, that line is just past Urban Meyer, and well short of Briles/Switzer/Paterno. Thanks.

  15. Hello, God, it's me Droopy. I was just... no, no, that um... issue has seemed to go away for now, but I appreciate the help with that. Actually, I'm here to ask you if you could find it in your heart to move us all to the start of the college football season already instead of us having to waste away in this putrid blathering-nonstop-echo chamber-of horseshit takes, condescending half thought out shit talk, and arm-chair quarterbacking? I know it's only 2 weeks away, but this off-season can't die fast enough. Yes, you're correct that patience is a virtue, but the season hasn't even started and half the people are already arguing who the next coach should be and Sark just got here. What's that? Yeah, I saw the Jamaal Charles stuff, but I think he's just fu...messing with us. Hahaha, yeah, at least we don't have to suffer through more bullshit piss tests or ... you're right, you're right, moving on. Well, could we at least agree that the season will be positively different than it has been the last... well, how am I supposed to move on if the team keeps... well, now you're just being an asshole. Yeah, but still... Well, I agree to disagree... that was in 2005 and I was drunk as hell and you know... Well, what about 2008, and January of 2010?!?! ...Hey...hey.... what are we fighting for, huh? Come on man, It's Droop here. We've been through so much, and I've said, and done, a lot of stuff I regret... well that guy had it coming...It's the Cotton Bowl, anything goes, amiright?!? Fine, I'll be patient... Yes, they are the gift that keeps on giving but the tears only take you so far... lmao, I had forgotten about that actually... Well, if that's true, what would happen if Randolph Duke and Luicci accidentally touched each other on the hand... no shit? Then why the hell did you have to put them so you damn close to us? ...Wow, that's fucked up, man. Dark even. Ok, well... can you at least tell me if the Surly tailgates will be worth it?...I'm married and despite my search history, I refuse to DM posters for pics... you said nudes, not me...yeah, well, "mentioned" and "said" are kind of the same thing, no? Shit, I gotta run. Don't forget I'm going to Vegas for the birthday party and will be gambling and playing golf...Hey, what happens in... fine, but I expect some luck this season and at the craps tables... and also with you. 🤘

  16. What the fuck are you talking about. Herman's roster management was absolute dogshit and pretty much everyone around the program (players, support staff, boosters, you name it) absolutely despised him. Herman was a joke. The flaws on our current team are 100% a result of Herman's shit roster management and talent evaluation. We'll see if Sark can turn it around but his ability to actually recruit fucking OL is in and of itself a massive step up from Herman.

  20. Can't wait to argue about the mock game and how shitty everyone played from 9.95er notes that are completely fabricated next week. At least after the ULM game we will be able to argue about film. I think I'm going to "gifify" every snap or figure out how to do it after that game, then those gifs will be available for treefiddy subscribers to use in posts.

  23. I want to see progress. I want to see serious team leaders on both sides of the ball. I want to see a serious attitude in this team. I want these coaches to show they learned from last year's disappointing performance and stop making stupid mistakes. At least 35 players from last year's team are gone...including many disgruntled shit-heads. I expect a better year than last year. 10 wins? Probably not, but we must be better this year.

  24. I’m of the belief that Herman would have had seasons that looked similar to last year if not for Sam Ehlinger being a baller. Sam on last year’s team is likely good for 2 or 3 more wins. Possibly more if you consider the leadership angle as well. Pretty similar to what we saw when Colt & co. left after the 2010 season. Then there was the coaching change and all the chaos surrounding that. I’m hopeful that the player buy-in and accountability will be much improved this year. Talent is upgraded, familiarity is upgraded, facilities are upgraded, coaching is upgraded, all that’s left is to see how it all comes together. I choose to be excited because it’s more fun than being pessimistic. I expect to see exciting and head scratching moments and somewhere around 8 wins before the bowl game.

  25. Man, remember when someone shot off their mouth that the GOP was distancing itself from Trump and told him they’d stop paying legal fees if he didn’t back off and then I said “lol the GOP can’t get away from trump he will drag them down with him” and then that same someone doubled down and told me I had no idea what I was talking about. Cuz I ‘member.

  26. he wants to get thru the midterms. then he can formally announce. then he can go make speeches and say, "can you believe what democrats are doing to the frontrunner for the republican party nomination? they're scared of me, because i'm the best president and this will be my 3rd victory in a row." the closer he comes to being a candidate, the more he can say "this is political" and sound like it's accurate. it's not about having everyone believe the lie, it's about having enough people believe the lie.

  30. I don't know if I'm in agreement with Johnny or not, but I do know that your post has holes in it. Herman has accomplished more as a HC than Steve Sarkisian and it is not even close. Not even the same galaxy. Tom Herman never had a losing season, he is 5-0 in bowls, including wins over top 10 P5 teams in the Peach and Sugar bowls, had two top 10 AP finishes in 6 years, won 1 conference title and played for another, and was never fired in the middle of a week during the season for being drunk on the sidelines in the previous week's game. Sarkisian has had 2 losing seasons, is 2-2 in bowls, neither win being over a top 10 ranked team in a major bowl, finished ranked (20th) once, has never played for a conference title, and was fired from a top 5 coaching position for being drunk on the sidelines during a game, something only Howard Schnellenberger has accomplished in major college football in the last 42 seasons. I have met both dudes and have spoken more than in passing to both of them. Sarkisian is an easy guy to root for and I like him. Herman is a despicable piece of shit and I can't stand the guy. Nonetheless, there is zero evidence currently that Sarkisian is a better coach than Tom Herman. Zero as in, you cannot make a credible argument using facts that will support your position, no matter how much you or anyone else wishes to blame prior coaches on their performances.

  37. So, those are the two options, is it? 1) We're going to win big time! or 2) We're fucked and will be lucky to make a bowl game. No. That's a false choice. The right answer is something on the spectrum between those statements to the tune of "look, we're really young and inexperienced. i think we can surprise folks and have a great season, but i would not tell anyone to bet money on that. we are building for the future, and it looks bright. we're doing everything we can to maximize the opportunity this year, but is that 12 wins? 6 wins? i think those are the bookend possibilities." And if that isn't his style, frame similar logic in his style. No one needs to hear that we are about to play for the CFP and no one wants to hear "I don't know how we get to .500." Shut the fuck up, you are at Texas, figure out a winning season, dipshit.

  38. Honestly, I think Walker is being treated with kid gloves a bit because it's just so fucking sad. If there was a way to go scorched earth on the people that put him up to this in a manner that would be effective, that's the route. But I don't think it exists. I also don't think that he's all there enough to realize how fucking embarrassing it is to hear what comes out of his mouth. At some point Warnock is going to have to take the gloves off. Something like, "Look, I am not qualified to play or coach football. That can be a tough game. If you asked me X or Y or Z, I'd have no idea, but I'd have the courtesy to say "I don't know." But I am qualified to be a Senator. My opponent is not. And worse, he refuses to say "I don't know" and instead speaks and removes all doubt that he is incapable of governing. Don't do this to America or Georgia. Don't do this to my opponent, who is ultimately a prop. Vote Warnock."

  40. I have already invested the windfall in a ladder bond structure guaranteed to earn me 20% as I recline on a foreign beach. It's fine to be excited for the season, but you can spare us the sunshine pumping on Sarkisian being a good fit. He choked multiple games away and had his team show up at home and shit the bed to Kansas, in which talent simply cannot be made the scapegoat. Until the guy puts up a double digit win season and at least plays for a conference title, optimism on his regime is not only unwise, it is unmerited and cannot be rationally defended. I'm all for him actually showing results that change the realistic outlook of his time here based on his history.
