  1. Yeah, this playoff talk is ridiculous. We aren't there yet. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State would be a tall order specifically with our defensive. I want to win out, win a NY6 bowl and set the table for 2020. We lose some Oline, Saftey and WRs, three areas we have depth in. We just need to get momentum going and set the bar to a B12 championship.
  2. Or so we can get a more accurate idea about the will of the people. Not saying you're wrong, but what does that mean? It's a stupid system, we all agree with that. I'm not saying that the media is lying about Pete winning in SDEs. I'm just saying that when people see that WaPo graphic they assume it means a vote total because that's what it means 99.9999% of the time we see election data. Therefore, it is misleading. What matters practically is which delegates go to the national convention, currently tied at 10. The popular vote counts and the SDE% are all perceptions management. 14% said they won't according to the poll previously cited, against 16% of Bernie's. It's going to be Bernie's job to win them if Bernie wins the nomination. It's going to be Pete's job to win them if Pete wins the nomination. Whatever.
  3. Not trying to. It’s obvious he’s either still hurt and or something else is going on. We have to win this game. We don’t owe any fan or any player that spot. Get it done on the field or we will get someone on the field who can.
  4. Yeah...even if we are really good this year this team needs to get its head straight about how to win games. Previous experience suggests that we are going to give away a few we should have won next season.
  5. Just spitballin' here - Would it be okay if Elon Musk funded a UT-AI project ensuring we win all college football games we play from here to eternity? when we go interplanetary - Austin will be Earth's homebase.
  6. Zeus

Bruh it's gonna be Bama, Florida, Clemson, and Ohio State. The only chance we had in this piss poor conference was going undefeated and that's gone now. Even if we win out we don't get in over a 2 loss SEC team.
  7. We took the step when we hired TH. Then he hired Horney. If we're ok with that, then win. Don't play a stupid semantics game like CTJ and SC like to do. If we are going dirty, them let's get results.
  8. Yes, and if he beats Bernie then complete idiots are going to be on here saying, "Heh you leftists thought that consistency and goodness would win. So naive." Yes, we fucking know. We know. We just don't want it to happen.
  9. Fuck yes. Damn this is a wonderful night. So lets go Astros. Win your shit so we can get it going. This board is going to be a blast. Already told my girl to expect me to be an absent companion for a few weeks.
  10. Winning keeps donors happy. Catering to anything besides a grand strategy to win football games is counterproductive and leads to more losing. We go 3-9, you think sucking up to some blue hairs will help fund NIL?
  11. My favorite stats that I heard: Maryland is 2-24 vs I ranked teams in their last 26 games. The 2 wins? Yeah, that’s us. Mack was fired going 8-4, we haven’t had 8 wins since.
  12. Sure, I hope we can. I hope it works. But know going in that we have to play twice as hard because the other team literally controls the refs, will say it's third down for us when it's really first down, all that shit. We the people can win. We're just going to have to overcome a state-backed apparatus that will be actively working against us. Either way, win or lose......we need guillotines. Treason like theirs cannot be allowed to pass. The entire truth needs to be laid bare, and people need to go to prison.
  13. I will guess that we go 10-2 (loss to Bama in a game we could've won again, and a stumble late against a B12 team we should've beaten). Then we win the Big 12 Championship game. 11-2. And that might get us into the playoff.
  14. While I think we're going to get reamed with a white hot poker, we are nowhere near as bad as we played last week. And we always seem to pull out one game we have no business winning. As they say, that's why they play the games.
  15. Hard to win if you have no really reliable starter. We knew going in that our depleted staff would be in for a massive challenge, but we had to hope the Sox would cool off and we'd heat up. Few indications of either so far, but at least we showed some spark last inning. Let's win this one 12-9 and change the narrative.
  16. I have long waited for Texas to get a HC with a contract like “we pay $1M per win and zero for losses, and we both have a $0 buyout.” It’s not hard to win 6 games and still get paid a top10 salary. There would be real incentive to win every fucking game. Instead we go along with the arms race of paying $10M guaranteed with huge buyouts when we fire them. Any coach that passes on the opportune to make $12M+ with a $6M floor must be a scared bitch.
  17. To me, shitting the bed was having the ball late in a close Bedlam yet losing by ten in a shootout where we scored what shoulda been enough to win a football game. This year’s baseball Bedlam has been an ass whooping. Winning those three games was huge to maintain a chance to win the reg season title and they dominated. But we gotta go to Waco and host Tech, we have probably the hardest remaining schedule in our league. Hope we can keep that lightening bottled up.
  18. So... hopefully we can keep Kris Richard in the fold and promote him to d coord next season? And teams win in different ways, can’t get caught looking back to figure out how to win going forward. As soon as we win by our way others will say they should build the team through oline/rb... just the way it is. We have a talented roster and are probably the best team in the nfc right now. We should enjoy the ride some And pay dak.
  19. Why not? This “We’re Texas” might as well be replaced by “We sincerely don’t want to win.” We don’t want to be a dynasty. We have enough dumbfuck fans that are ok with telling themselves we run a clean program, academics, Austin blah blah blah. I honestly hope all of these types fuck off into oblivion. I want to win. Win conference championships and if there is anyone on this board that does not...please sell your goddamn tickets and find another school to support. And go fuck yourselves.
  20. This. You're are not going to win it without great pitching. We just going to need some clutch hitting. We have the 2nd best record in baseball in the most competitive division and most likely get at least 100 wins again. All of this with about half our hitters under performing this year or nursing enough injuries to hold them back. It could also be just big titties.
  21. If you go by W-L columns alone, you won't know until next year or the year after. If you look a little closer and realize we're winning games we should win (blowouts even), nearly winning games we shouldn't win (with Arky maybe being an exception), and recruiting is going well, I'd say we're doing okay. I've been caught with my pants down saying "We're on the right trajectory" in the past, but it will take scandal or a Kansas loss for me to jump off the Sark train until after Year 2.
  22. I think whoever wins that game is going to win the division. If they beat us we aren’t going to have a better record then them probably and they will have swept us. The main reason I’d rather not win the division is the first place schedule next year. We draft well enough that I’m not worried about the draft pick. I know things change year to year (SF was on all NFC 1st place schedules for example), but we aren’t good enough to make the playoffs with a first place schedule IMO. Our roster just isn’t talented enough and a healthy Dak isn’t going to put us over the top.
  23. We have to win period, but if we are actually going to have a chance in the B12, we have to win convincingly. Yes, I’ve seen the same 2 games all of you have, but I’m holding on to hope that everything clicks and we become the 9-win team that mostly everyone expected before the Maryland kickoff. I mean, how could we possibly get this much worse??? Basically we just lost Poona and Dickson from the bowl game in which we beat a lot better team than Tulsa, this USC and probably even Maryland. Our complete suckage makes no sense....
  24. Why do you think it took us so long to join the sec and according to ctj we actually explored going to the big ten before finally going sec? We don’t want to be your typical win at all costs southern school. We are different just like Michigan and Stanford are different
  25. We should go to where they live and offer them a message of economic fairness (living wage) and equality (slash the wealth and income gaps). We should go to where they live and offer their children free healthcare and a free public education. Let's do that. We'll win. We don't even need to mention Donald.
