Wait, she went from Bernie to white nationalist?  Am I missing a joke?

I know it seems paranoid, but Russians maybe?

I don't see anything on going to white supremacist rallies, which would be a bigger flip as she was a BLM supporter.

Liberal social media star switches to Trump

Quote

Fairbanks says her conversion came about fairly recently. She began 2016 as a supporter of Clinton's main rival within the Democratic Party, socialist candidate Bernie Sanders. As Clinton progressed towards the party nomination, she says, she grew increasingly frustrated with the Democrats. But what really shifted her political outlook, she says, was the mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub in June by a man who pledged allegiance to Islamic State.

.....

She posted a video in June going public with her support and outlining her views.

....

Fairbanks works as a reporter for Sputnik News, a Russian state-funded news agency which critics have accused of spreading propaganda on behalf of the Kremlin, although Sputnik hasn't endorsed either candidate.

Fairbanks denies that her employer has any influence over her political views. She says some others who work in Sputnik News' Washington office support Clinton and that says she is the only one of her colleagues who is a Trump fan.

Fairbanks denies that her employer has any influence over her political views. She says some others who work in Sputnik News' Washington office support Clinton and that says she is the only one of her colleagues who is a Trump fan .

Trump, of course, is no fan of Black Lives Matter, once calling it a "threat" and claiming that it contributes to police shootings . And he's not averse to a bit of fat shaming, an issue that popped up during the first presidential debate when Clinton accused him of calling a former Miss Universe winner "Miss Piggy."

So how does Fairbanks square her previous activism with her chosen candidates' views?

"I supported Black Lives Matter initially," she says. "And I will always support the phrase but speaking of the organisation and the movement, the rhetoric got hostile and angry.. It's become a divisive movement, rather than keeping people together.

"I'm always a believer that if you see someone who's wrong or you see someone who is bullied, you should stand up and trying to do and make something better. But I'm not going to judge him on comments he allegedly made 20 years ago.

"Obviously policy issues matter significantly more than someone's personality," she says. "Trump's mean words are insignificant compared to Clinton's deadly actions."

But, also, this chick is nuts.

The political spectrum is a flat circle ( :mcconaughey).  My grandmother (no pics) explained it to me in the 80s when I asked what left and right meant, so I've always kinda seen it through that prism.  Communism and Fascism are two ends of a horseshoe.

She also went from supporting black lives matter to flashing white power signs with Mike Cernovich from the White House podium.  I think that's more than far-left meeting far-right.  It's possible she is just a social media attention whore who will hook into any cause that thinks will get her attention. It's possible she is just a nut job.  But - BLM, white supremist, Bernie, Trump - these are all causes that the Russians pushed on social media.

Somebody's fighting for their lives. A standard of does it make me money and can I stay out of jail? will eventually run you too close to the line. A man begins to believe he can't go to jail and just focuses on the money.

I thought that I was beyond shock of how low a politician might go, but here I am shocked. How did these low life miscreants rationalize getting in bed with Russia against the foundations of the country they actually stood up and swore to uphold?

Do these traitors have a morning where they wake up and think, "what was I thinking?" or is it just, "damn, I never thought I'd get caught?"

Occam's razor makes it hard not to presume guilt for these shitbirds.

And the nation mostly sleeps.

One can argue that Bernie 'socialism', and Alt-right white nationalism are proximal ends of the political horseshoe, but when you factor in Nigel Farage/Brexit and Roger Stone, you're likely looking at someone acting as an agent.  The fundamental tenet in the Russian 2016 election attack was that both sides were targeted to drive people to extremes - to Trump/away from Clinton.  But Bernie.  Patiently awaiting some comeuppance there.

And that fact that she is paid by the Russian government, via Sputnik.  She can talk about the political diversity of the office all she wants, but she draws a salary from the Russian government and pushes many of the causes we know Russia pushed on social media.  It's possible that Sputnik hired her because she pushing those causes already - because she was an attention whore or nutjob - put it seems obvious there is a connection between her paid position and her positions.

It's fucking ludicrous that her loyalties are even being discussed.  She works for the Kremlin.

She's a perfect honey trap. Voluptuous and sexy in an everyday way and that's what she sells in every photo taken of her. She's a kompromat engine and likely great at getting close to any older man around.

I'll tell you what.  She's a hell of a lot sexier than that NRA spy.

Yea, but neither look like the playboy bunny to whom Trump paid six figures so he could believe she was crazy about him. If either of these women laughed at your jokes and casually brushed a beast across your shoulder, you could think, "she's into me" rather than "what's going on here?"

I could be easily seduced by either.

To each his own, I guess.  I'd be all about Cassandra.  Might even pretend I was into her craziness to close the deal.  But rail thin redheads don't really do it for me, so Maria is all yours.

I got game. If I want Cassandra, she's walking out with me. Hell, I could have 'em both and the Playboy bunny. Now that I think about it, they're all too ugly for me. Miss Universe or bust.

Depending on what she's been up to, and it appears to be significant, she could end up under scrutiny for felony violation of FARA laws, or worse.

Recall that state-supported Russian media outlet Sputnik had its U.S.-based partner company, RIA Global, ordered by the DoJ to register as a foreign agent.

It triggered tit for tat Russian retaliation.

To divert attention from this Trump is going to initiate two shocking executive orders:

1.)  All public toilets must have a live water moccasin in them.

2.)  You can't register to vote if you haven't killed a horned owl and a polar bear cub with a pitch fork.

Inevitable part of aging but Shag / Surly standards are slipping. Ten years ago only the out and out trashdicks on here would admit they would bang either of these assets. Now the consensus is we would. Not sure if we’ve become more truthful or thirstier.

Yeah, because Donald is known for being discreet.

There is so much in the tweets from consciousness of guilt to witness tampering.

And we only have part of the picture of what was going on when this maniac would go on his Twitter rants.

Let’s not forget John Dowd either who pretty much lied to cover for Trump admitting to obstruction of justice.

That is a pretty decent point. I’ve always been skeptical of using the tweets themselves as criminal acts, but they could be relevant for an argument that Trump was committing a crime and using the tweets to make his crimes politically viable or provide plausible non-criminal alibis for acting as he did.

The worst case scenario is starting to seem like the most likely scenario.  That this may be to politics as Penn State/Jerry Sandusky was to college athletics.  A lot of what we are seeing and hearing (and are being told isn't happening) only makes sense if Russia really is in balls-deep with the NRA, GOP, etc...

We’re aging, dude. And, boobs.

But, for reference, here’s a pic that says so much. Surly poster in the middle, Cassandra looking skanky on the left, and - seriously - Lewinsky looking WAY too classy for this crew, on the right.
