SEC Championship: Alabama vs Florida

Danielson was saying that because Florida hiked the ball with 19 on the clock, they would have been out of time. But Alabama allowed 10-15 seconds to run off the clock on a completed pass because they had 2 time outs remaining. If they had 15 seconds left on the clock, they would have used one. The situation would have been the same. The difference was that Alabama was able to run a play to the middle of the field because Florida spiked the ball w/ 19 on the clock. Florida mad a poor decision, no doubt. But the half would have played out differently.

The clock was running after the first first down and the chain gang was still running to set up.

1st play 1:04-102 incomplete, 50-48

2nd play 102-54 25 yards, clock resumed and chain gang was slow. 48-40 chain gang basically costed them 10 seconds

3rd play 44-42 incomplete 30-28

4th play 42-35 20 yard play to Florida’s 35, 28-21.

5th play bama burns 5 seconds hikes ball at 29-23 8 yard pass. 16-10

For sure by now they are thinking fg. The one play after the first first down was chain gang related and the clock burned 10 seconds. The rest is history

What?  I didn’t see Texas scared of anyone this season and fought hard at end of games.

So the bigger, more experienced and talented team than most in the Big 12, if not all, played over half of their games to the wire because they were fighting?  Baylor had half a week of practice due to Covid and they made it a game but we fought and held on I guess.

Maybe Texas losses were not due to lack of fight but most other teams have better coaches?

I fucking HATE when Mullen calls shit like that. Trask has cement blocks for feet. It’s a complete waste of a play asking him to run with the speed of Bama’s D. If you really need a QB run there, put in Jones. You wasted the fucking stop your defense finally got you.

Teams are extensions of the coaches.  Our offensive line got pushed through like Charmin--they weren't particularly a strength or tough.  We had inopportune turnovers, couldn't stop the good teams at the end and even some bad ones.  TCU is 6-1 against Texas since 2014.

That’s the one thing I’ll say about the heisman race and Jones being the favorite. Trask fits balls into much tighter windows. Jones throws to lots of wide open guys, or has guys take short throws and bust them for huge yardage. Pitts is the only thing comparable to Devontae Smith, and he missed 2 full games this year, and a Trask still has thrown for more TDs.

No argument about the o-line and think if Herman stays then Hand should be a must fire.

Lol how the fuck did Florida lose to aggy and LSU?

LSU edged an Ole Miss team today that hung pretty tough with Bama earlier this year.

As for the other part of the equation, aggy is better than anyone feels comfortable giving them credit for here.
