FCB just put a Monkey Curse on himself...

Quote

FCB:  "While the rest of the world was chuckling at Texas’ expense about Danielle Thomas’ emotional support monkey, Gia, allegedly biting a child on Halloween, the result of that incident took Texas special teams coordinator Jeff Banks, a former punter at Washington State, out of the running for the head-coaching job at his alma mater, according to sources."

THX for this quote @Hookem2147

If anyone needs a refresher on how this asshole undermines our program - originally written by our benevolent dictator:

I'm not sure why Chip felt the need to do a hit piece on UT the day before signing day but he did. Not only did it get corrected, it cost us at least one recruit.
These paragraphs were later removed to due a threat of a lawsuit from the Buechele's:

According to sources, Buechele’s parents aren’t crazy about the way Herman is running the program - even thinking Shane would be better off playing baseball. According to sources, Steve Buechele has told other parents of players the way the coaches are coming down so hard on the players with everything from constantly having to pass hydration tests to cleaning the weight room at 4:30 am as punishment to eating burnt breakfasts for being on the losing team at practice, he doesn’t think players are enjoying the game they love - especially when the team is 6-6.

According to sources, Steve Buechele, a bench coach with the Texas Rangers, has told other parents UT coaches are running the program harder and with less feeling than the Rangers run spring training - adding the Rangers get paid, while UT football players don’t.

The rest of the article stunk of sour grapes from a disgruntled parent or two.

Nik Bonitto, a OLB prospect out of Florida showed up from nowhere this week, getting multiple people predicting he'd end up at Texas. Later that day Chip's piece came out, OU coaches showed it to him, and now he's likely to sign with OU.

So Chip, you can go $#@! yourself. The timing of this was not an accident, and your article about Orlando going to SMU was complete bull$#@! as well and designed to hurt the program.

I encourage all UT fans to cancel their 24/7 subscriptions, and please inform any of your friends or family who subscribe there about this and encourage them to cancel as well. It's one thing to vote for Reggie Bush for Heisman, but another to actively torpedo the program. Congrats Chip, you're the UT Taylor Hamm.

edit:
as if you needed more evidence Brown is a complete shill for some people, here's some of his greatest hits:

Well since Bonitto is gone, FCB now wants to make sure that Ewers does not come to TEXAS either.

Today's behind a paywall article FCB's headline:

"Morning Brew: Could Texas be looking to bring in more than one transfer quarterback?"

Just remember don't ever trust FUCK CHIP BROWN...

FUCK CHIP BROWN:

"Charles Thompson, who played quarterback at Oklahoma, said he's thankful to Sarkisian for giving Casey a chance to start at quarterback for the Longhorns. But Thompson added for Sarkisian "to say the job was 'open' after a guy starts 10 games and leads the Big 12 in passing touchdowns and breaks some school records while playing hurt in his first year as a starter, it just felt like there was no one in Casey's corner.

"Casey got his degree from the University of Texas, and he's proud of that. He had great experiences there and has no ill feelings toward Texas and wishes the Longhorns well."

Wasn't he married with children before?

Definitely has a son that started his freshman year at Colorado State this fall.

I have never seen the blonde girl talk, just seen still photos, but when she talks on the podcast, I always picture the dark-haired girl from ESPN that breaks down the college playoff rankings.

Morning Brew: Job posting sheds some light on what Gary Patterson could be doing at Texas

Quote

Sources close to the situation told Horns247 Patterson met Friday with Texas coach Steve Sarkisian and the UT coaching staff, toured the Longhorns’ football complex in the south end of DKR and had a productive, positive meeting.

Patterson, who turns 62 on Feb. 13, was the head coach at TCU for 21 years with a record of 181-79, winning six conference championships, before being let go when the Horned Frogs fell to 3-5 following a loss to Kansas State on Oct. 30. TCU finished the 2021 season 5-7 and hired SMU coach Sonny Dykes to replace Patterson.

Patterson has long been considered one of the best defensive minds in college football and knows Texas defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski from their days competing against each other when TCU was in the Mountain West and Kwiatkowski was at Boise State under Chris Petersen. Kwiatkowski was the defensive line coach at Boise State when the Broncos defeated TCU 17-10 in the Fiesta Bowl capping the 2009 season, when the Horned Frogs finished 12-1.

Patterson, however, brings more to the Texas football program than expertise on defense or how to scout Big 12 opponents. Patterson has an excellent working knowledge of how the Texas program works, including booster involvement, thanks to his wife, Kelsey, who worked for former UT athletic director DeLoss Dodds when she was a student at Texas.

Kelsey then went on to work for Lincoln Properties, a highly successful real estate company run by Texas booster Bill Duval.

Gary Patterson also still has a close relationship with Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte, who served as Patterson’s athletic director at TCU from 2009-17. That stretch included a 13-0 season in 2010 (capped by a Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin), two 12-1 seasons as well as the Horned Frogs transition to the Big 12 in 2012.

In other words, depending on how the Sarkisian-Patterson relationship develops, Patterson could serve as a quasi-general manager for Sarkisian in assisting with athletic department matters, booster relations and much more than just football.

According to source who knows Patterson well, Patterson “is excited about helping Texas and Steve Sarkisian any way he can.”
