I hope many are writing books because they too can become come a millionaire “if you write a best selling book”

As an author (on the side), the best way to make money writing books, is to write a book telling other people how to write best-selling books.

CNN and MSNBC are big fans of the neoliberal empire establishment.

They are subsidiaries of publicly traded billion dollar corporations.

They are capitalist enterprises that compensate talent with millions of dollars per year.

Their executives and talent are members of the elite.

Of course they are fans of the neoliberal establishment.

OK, so Coup failed, now what?

1- Does the outflow of Venezuelans stop? This is what is pissing of the neighboring countries.

2- Does Maduro change his ways or go more hardline?

3- How long until the opposition leaders start getting killed or out of dodge?

"Step down and we'll stop killing your country's people."  Fucking terrorists.

It certainly is terrorism, and it’s hilarious that the right wing in particular pretends that constitutions are sacred only when it suits their purposes.

Bolton’s ilk went out of their fucking minds when Zelaya tried to pass a non-binding referendum simply asking the population if they’d be in favor of a constitutional re-write (the inference being to rid itself of the prohibition against presidents serving more than one term), but when Hernandez just bluntly inserted himself in the 2017 election (despite the constitution not having been changed at all), none of them had any problem with it at all.

This is how these people behave. They’re just vulgar, partisan hacks that have no respect for decorum and only respect the law when it suits their purposes.

  • How to write best-selling books
  • Relationship books
  • Books that could be turned into a Hallmark movie
  • Retirement books (make your money last longer/passive investing)
  • Erotica
  • Books about bestiality that skirt Amazon’s rules about portraying bestiality.  This involves dinosaurs, hot men that run around as wolves and then suddenly transform to men right before sexy time happens, men trapped inside the bodies of various animals, etc.

https://www.foxnews.com/world/rep-diaz-balart-russia-put-nuclear-missiles-in-venezuela

Carlson pressed the congressman on if he thought anti-American forces would invade the U.S.

“No. It’s kind of hard to see what you're talking about. Are you suggesting they are going to invade?” Carlson asked.

“The United States, the closest we ever came to nuclear war was because the Russians put missiles, right, nuclear missiles in Cuba,” Diaz-Balart said.

“Are you saying the Russians will put nuclear missiles in Venezuela?” Carlson asked.

“What I am suggesting is that they are already there,” Diaz-Balart said. He did not offer any evidence. Russia famously landed a nuclear-capable bomber in the country late last year and recently confirmed that it has military personnel in the country.

The State Department has not immediatly returned Fox News' request for a comment on the congressman's suggestion.

I wonder how the local population feels about their Dictator’s gun confiscation of 2012?

Military only one with guns. He who controls the military controls the country.

History often teaches valuable lesson if you are paying attention.

Does it hurt to be this stupid?

From the photos I saw of Venezuelan military, I'm not sure they control their own guns.

I mean, they were holding them, in odd and interesting ways. You might be safer if they were aiming at you.

Woah, you're right. Please, teach us more. Have you ever thought about who really writes history? My thesis, is that it is the victors. This is all pretty deep stuff that we're coming up with, so most of the people on this thread probably won't understand what two history buffs like us are talking about.

That is not how an empire projects power.

So it's your position that we must expand our Empire throughout the world?  We are instilling dictators we want in "certain" countries but turn a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's humanitarian atrocities.  Whatever makes you all sleep better at night I guess.

Oh, I don't agree with it at all, I'm just stating how it is.

Has AOC said shit about the coup?  Maybe too busy livestreaming her instapot cooking on the gram.

Good Lord you're a beatdown. If you are so disenfranchised with everyone in Washington then go and run for office in your local congressional district. Get Anastasis to run your campaign. I'm sure it'll be successful.

I'm going to be noncommittal until I get a firm sense of how many kids with cancer I am going to get to grind into dust in the process. I have a quota to uphold.

Just get this coup thing going and done with.  I want to buy some nice beach property on the Madrisqui Coast and I can't do it if the socalist commies are oppressing people!  As soon as it blows up, I'll be down there with some good down payment cash.

So what does the "Surly Leadership Committee" recommend our President do? Pull support for Guido? End the sanctions? Start buying oil from them again?

I'm not for or against any of that. I just can't find a path that works.

John Bolton in the role of Baghdad Bob on the tee vee.

It's funny. I actually give Dotard some leeway on foreign policy, just because far more qualified people have been screwing up so bad since 2003. Other than being dead set against military intervention, I don't have strong feelings on our current Venezuela policy.

Then I see that John Bolton is in the administration and I know its all going to be a shit show. Like decades-long-insurgency-FARC-on-cocaine kind of shit show.

Dear God, listening to this woman is a beat down.  Oh sure before the 2017 sanctions people were already hunting rats and raiding zoos for food but it was the US sanctions that ruined the socialist utopia.
