Notre Dame’s schedule is pretty front loaded. They open with Miami, bye week, aggy. They really need USC and Cuse to be good to give them some national juice/attention down the stretch.

Freeman vs Cristobal in a close game could lead to some very entertaining coaching decisions.

I’d be stunned if aggy beat them in South Bend, but Northern Illinois did exactly that last season.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Elko has said before he doesn’t want to schedule marquee opponents during his tenure at aggy.

Aggy is ND's home opener. Purdue, a nothing-burger by most estimations, follows them on the schedule. ND has a bye week to tune things up after opening against Miami. NI certainly showed us last year that anything is possible, but I'm expecting this year's roller coaster "early setback" to be way way back.

And yet they want to be "CFB playoff contenders". That's the way to do it, fellas. Pussy out on scheduling marquee games to see where you stand and where you can improve.

Biggest pussy fan base in the country.

Correct. Their next OOS opponents are ASU and Louisville.

Absolutely embarrassing. Even as embarrassing as they already are, it's laughable. Although, they're probably in deep shit against ASU, since Dillingham can actually cosch.

Go back through the various aggie threads where people retread the trope “this site always underestimates ATM and then we’re all disappointed when they beat expectations”.  This thread, 2026 recruiting thread, the 2025 football thread, and Tell Me Abour ATM are good starters.

My God that reading assignment is worse than my high school literature teacher assigning The Grapes of Wrath followed by The Canterbury Tales

ASU might be fully operational under Dillingham by that point. Not an easy out (as we know).

Why do we discount Louisville? Brohm isn't some terrible coach on the verge of losing the job.

I especially love the part in which the poster compares one of their backup WRs to Justin Jefferson.  Apparently, aggy's wideouts are so good that Justin Jefferson part II can't even break into the starting lineup.

The Canterbury Tales was a bawdy, medieval delight to read, sir.

I don’t see a problem with scheduling ASU or Louisville as the P4 future opponent. Hell, ASU is ours in like 2032/2033 or some shit.

It sounds like your English teacher had good taste and high hopes that you did not live up to.

I'm reading Steinbeck's Travels with Charley in Search of America right now.

His English teacher was probably amused by The Miller’s Tale like mine was 63 years ago.
