you believed it because you wanted to believe it christian slater GIF

Skipper pitched a fit when someone referred to the Bohl article noting the Texas budget was around $35-40m. Saying the number was wrong and much less and "someone that posts here could confirm how wrong it was". He never listed a single poster. He never provided a different number. He was just yelling at clouds that the number was a lot less and anyone that thought differently was really stupid for believing Bohls. If I get time and interest Ill pull his original comment.

Found them basically he shit talked Nicole for using the number Bohls provided. He was ranting and unstrung yelling at clouds. Imma shut his dumbass up already.

I posted that article. Sark actually disputed  Bohl’s claim saying he wished he had that kind of roster money.

so I am hoping that we can get some clarification on what we spent on our roster.

we know Arch doesn’t draw any money from the collective. He gets money thru the independent deals his family sought out on their own for endorsement deals. It frees up the millions we have spent on the other players.

regardless it is routinely stated in multiple articles from multiple sources that this is the most expensive roster for Texas since NIL and one of the most expensive in CFB.

So when you don’t make the playoffs (and our hopes aren’t completely dead…just mostly dead) that’s flushing a ton of money down the toilet. Same for the other teams that are spending close to the same amount. If you don’t at least make the expanded playoffs it’s a lot of money wasted.

particularly in year 5 of a career. Or year Franklin or anyone else. You are not getting multiple 3 loss seasons and no playoff appearances anymore, that’s the reality fair or unfair. The more money spent the higher the expectations. Tough shit. 💩

Gracias. It’s weird bc in this May 2025 article where sark denies that we had that much listen to what he is saying, so this is back in MAY and we had not even started our season. It’s fucking weird as fuck to me. Texas also denies it was “that much” as well but it is Sark’s remarks here that are weird…

Pages 55 and 56 on the NIL Recruiting News Megathread kinda go over the article. Doesn’t give the exact number but the post shitting on Bohls and his foolish behavior is a joy to read.

Just finished the Urban and Florida doc on Netflix and a few things stood out to me.

In 2007 Georgia embarrassed Florida and in 2008 they curb stomped then 49-10.

I'm 2008 Florida dominated Alabama before Bama skull fucked Alabama by 3 scores.

Both Meyer and Saban hated losing so much that they devoted every fiber of their being to avenge a game they believed they should have won that it resulted in q championship the next year.

That's the difference in our coach vs the elites in cfb. Nothing to do with programs, just the HC taking charge vs a guy who couldn't be bothered to realize his shit doesn indeed stink.

It’s weird bc you hear Sark’s denial and while he praises the donations and all that he’s also like “damn I wish we had $15 million more man. We would have had a better roster.” Before we even played a snap regular season? If Bohls is closer to the number than not, why is Sark both shading it and the donors and praising the donors and bitching about a roster he wishes he could have before the season? Just another oddity.

Would the appropriate response be like, “well it’s not 40 but it’s a huge figure and I am damned lucky to have it. We are going all in. I am so proud of my donors and so fortunate!”

it’s more like I didn’t get enough Bohls is wrong af and if I had gotten $15 million I’d crush it but thanks anyway! The fuck was he saying????

seems Sark has had a ton of irresponsible reporting all year???

@immamacshould have a “Pitch the BMDs” contest. What is your best pitch? You are presenting to a big group of check writers this year…to pony up for next year. What are you saying to them? Just curious. I cannot award anything to anyone other than rep.

Nope. Straight into the bcs championship game. That's my only gripe with the 4 episode series.

He’s saying Bohls should stfu and not give our competition an edge on knowing what our budget is. That tangentially affects recruiting battles we are in. Private companies aren’t out there posting their P&L for the world to see and wouldn’t appreciate anyone doing it for them to the media and their competition. Zero difference here. Let them keep guessing and more importantly fear the unknown number boogeyman

Agreed. I get no one wants us to know the exact number and such. Thanks again. And Bohls has always hated UT and will never be forgiven by many and pretty much the entire fan base for a litany of other shit.

I don’t. But the article I found for what we spent unfortunately had his stupid ass attached to it. I said as much. And hey we know what Miami spent so it is like colossal failure if they don’t get in. They proudly chirped about OSU’s 5 stars and more elite roster than ND and the money that was spent ($20 million) before the national championship so in that regard how embarrassing if ND had kicked their ass? But they didn’t. OSU won. And the money wheels continue to turn.

Night crew check-in. How about this for criminal meat assault, although it may not be criminal to be from the source of this 'meat'?

To be honest, the mucky sweetness was nostalgically delicious, but I won't need another one of these for a decade.

An equivalent amount of the annual NIL collective should go toward something meaningful if we don’t make the playoff. Take some of it out of fuckhead’s 11 MM/yr salary. Like STEM scholarships for inner city kids to attend UT or some shit. At some point, I really don’t care if we win or lose. Colossal waste of money and resources for our university.

NIL absolutely destroyed college football. Change my mind. Once all these old BMD’s are dead and gone, the endless money train is going to slowly fade away.

If sark ended the year 9-3, then 9-4 or 10-3 and Texas kept him…you’d be happy? If he wins out he’s absolutely coaching here in 2026 lol. That’s what “dramatic sark fanboy” is getting at. That comes with the loss of a ton of defensive starters, same stupid portal pattern, probably the same practice philosophy etc. You sure that’s what you’re hoping for deep down?

I’m of the opinion that even if we lose both games, he’s here next year (assuming the rumors aren’t true).

I differ in that I think the NIL folks are pissed both at Sark's performance and attitude. Whether the rumors are true or false people in the know or people who want him gone are pushing the narrative. Obviously it's supposition, but here's what really concerns me. If I am accurate in my assessment of who is fanning the flames (NIL doners) and Sark returns, I think money could greatly decrease.

We've seen our results with a lot of NIL money. How does Sark perform without it?

The next coach needs to show up to the interview with a Brisket they either prepared themselves or at least the name of the place and the type of cut they like most.

Sark screams chopped brisket with no pickles or onions, and that my friends tells you everything you need to know.

Speaking of someone giving up playcalling duties if any of you happened to catch the TNF game last night. This seems to be paying off?

Almost everyone at some point either chooses to do this or they are forced to do it. Continuing to be both isn’t sustainable imo (and per a long list of a ton of HCs who have either given it up or been given up on.)

I don’t think anyone here on this board is arguing that Sark continues to play call. Most want him to give up OC duties. As far as I can see. No matter whether we agree on anything else.
