With PK we won’t get routed.  I think sark will be our coach indefinitely unless there’s behavioral challenges

The difference between your post and the one you responded to, and many like it is the underlined.

"..Think Sark will be our coach indefinitely.." You didn't write as if it were laws of physics with absolute certainty.

I don't think nor believe Sark is going to be the HC next year. However, I acknowledge that I don't know that for a certainty and it's entirely possible he will return.

People speaking in absolutes as if they were CDC himself and slamming on opposing thoughts with vitriolic anger has made this thread and frankly this board a lot more toxic.

It's perfectly fine to disagree with one another's perceptions or takes on issues, based on logical reasoning. It's toxic to attack posters with alternative positions and absolute certainty that position is actual fact, not opinion.

I know people don't agree with me, doesn't mean I think they are necessarily stupid. (There are definitely some idiots) We just read the tea leaves differently and have come to different conclusions in our opinion about the future. And that's okay.

First time?  Sark Fan Bois are pretty salty as you can see.

I thought Sark was a 7.5/10 hire and have proven to be right honestly.  Even in his two great years, he got a couple of lucky breaks. Do I think our on-field performance this year warrants a change?   No chance.

Not sure Lane is worth the upgrade but do I think he's better?  Yeah.  I'd take Lanning, Cignetti, etc over him.  Probably don't want to compare him to aggy Elko if you're a Sark boi

You've spelt Sark incorrectly.

Although. there's no good reason why not both...

Would lanning come here? If sark leaves on fire then that will be 5 coaches in a row that I’m familiar with, could be more, that have came in golden and left a heap of shit. His record at Oregon is pretty darn good and he’s a defensive guy which would be a good change I think.

Certainly not. And that isn't what the (initial, at least, until it went off the rails) people passing along info were saying.

Now, if there's cause (which is what this started about), then there comes many more facets to consider.

So the way I see this mess is that people heard some information and shared that. People with a brain are going to say fire the guy just because it's a down year. However, if that down year is because of off-field issues, then that may be a different story.

The real question is would people rather have a heads up about what people "in the know" are talking about and hearing, or would they rather be an ostrich with their head in the fucking sand and get blindsided by something they could have at least been prepared to possibly happen?

Humor me. What gives you the impression that people here have any insight whatsoever into what is going on?

What is obvious from this post is you have made no attempt to get involved with NIL, go to any functions or meet anyone on this site. If you had you would realize how ridiculous you look making statements like this. On top of that you spend a very large percentage of your time trying to dismiss everything you read here.

It’s a very bizarre path you have taken.

Lol, not my first rodeo.

I too thought Sark was a mid hire, and while I mock the aggie style of "2 semis put it on the wall" logic I too was impressed by Sarks performance in getting to the CFPs.

For the record I thought Sark was another very mid project hire, just like the others prior to his arrival all the way back to Mackovic, like you.

That said something became painfully obvious this year, well lots of things but one thing in particular. Last year, I own I was very critical of Quinn. I had high expectations for Arch and hoped with the right QB the ship would set sail.

I was horribly wrong in both regards. The issue last year wasn't Quinn and this year isn't Arch. @Thatguy tried to make it clear (though I still disagree with some of his logic) but I couldn't see the forest for the trees. I saw bits and pieces on occasion. I had the puzzle mostly put together but didn't have the finished picture so was lost. This particular aspect is why I am so vehemently frustrated with Sark.

In retrospect, knowing the full picture, and to a degree, I saw most of it last year, Texas had a championship caliber team. Truly. From D to QB, from OL to LB. Now ST were not great but thats a separate issue. Penalties and RZ performance kept Texas from winning a national championship. That's 100% coaching issues. That torques me, a lot.

Then this year came, D has gone poop and what I still believe to be generational talent a QB is being squandered because of horrible off season choices, terrible offensive schemes and a myriad of other coaching blunders.

So if it is getting worse, and I'm accurate in my assessment that NIL doners are frustrated and likely to pull money with Sark at the helm... well.... the future is bleak. Maybe I'm wish casting to prevent the doom I perhaps incorrectly see coming next year. The tea leaves I'm reading support my position, but the truth is I'm a coffee guy so wtf do I really know. Nobody reads coffee grounds.

(Edit - Just in case my prior analysis and clear statement of fact was missed or unclear, I'm not interested in Lane. I think him another midish hire, though using your numbers I saw Sark as a 6 out of 10 at time of hire and see Lane as a 7.5-8)

She was accurate, you were wrong. You're a petulant little child and we are done.

Go back and read the quotes that got you worked up.  I'm well aware of NIL.  I met RGB a fucking NIL meeting like 3 years ago.  I know others separately that have details which is how i got the invite to said meeting.  It was purely commentary on the gossip queen citing fucking google.  That's it dude.   With that, I'm out on this thread.  You all can continue circle jerking each other from here.

If it's up to me, he's gone if this off the field stuff is true.  On the field, Sark is a lucky guy and while he's gotten his shit pushed in often, there's not near enough to fire him and for us not to look like a clown show.

But, just on field results, I'm not sure you fire Herm after 7-3 either

No worries.  There's at least a handful of other Sark fan bois to defend his honor.

There absolutely is fear of our NIL budget…what we do with that budget and what that acquisition of talent does doesn’t change shit

Under Strong and Herman at least the guys didn’t play so fucking tight and stiff, they sucked but at least it looked fun. Every game we come out looking so slow and robotic.

You're right. They didn't play tight and stiff when they put up 59 yards against Arkansas in the Texas Bowl.
