My high school, St. Edward’s in Austin, was an all boys college prep institution, so shop and home economics were not offered.

Mrs. Brat, a Taylor HS grad, said only the “country” girls took home economics

On of my best friends took Home Economics in high school and got student of the year.  If the shit we gave him about taking the class wasn’t enough, after that it was much worse.  I think he was the only Home Economics student that year that went to college.

I took Home Economics in high school because I needed a class to fill the time before I took off for the day for COOP

San Antonio was so behind Houston that I was basically a year ahead

you needed 1.5 less credits to graduate and the drivers ed that you took off campus from a private company counted as half a credit....they did not have any AP offerings (Houston really didn't either that was before AP was a big thing)....I was taking the highest math they had (Trig I believe) and I took COOP because otherwise I would have had to take classes that I already had or that were just a bigger waste of time than Home Economics......so I took Home Economics to sleep some and eat a little

when the COOP teacher ask if there was anyone in the class that was just taking the class to get out of school a half a day early I put my hand up.....he was not happy at all....but it was the truth....the others in there had all taken it the prior year too so I was the only new person.....it got a laugh, but I simply told him he ask and I answered.....I worked at my dad's warehouse and he would show up thinking he would find me not there or sleeping or something and the warehouse manager basically told him no that my dad told the warehouse manager to manage me and not bring him BS about me and the warehouse manager would save hard jobs for me to come do at the end of the day so he did not burn out the regulars and that he busted my ass

the other thing in SA was The State of Texas had just changed it where an A was 94 to 100 instead of 90 to 100 and Houston had already been 94 to 100 for a while so I was used to that.....the answer in SA to that was to grade easier....so that made it even easier for me

the bad part was teachers in SA tried to get in the students personal weekend business where the teachers in Houston did not give a fuck what you did (especially on the weekend) or even if you came to class regularly as long as you turned in your assignments (or someone that showed up turned then in for you) and you showed up and passed the test.....they would make you tuck in your shirt in Houston though that was always a laugh teachers getting on guys that wanted to have their oxfords untucked and the teacher telling them not in my class.....in San Antonio they dressed down a lot more and the teachers wanted to follow your every move during the class day and to try and get the parties busted up on the weekend....SA PD had way too much free time.....HPD did not give a shit about drunken high school kids they had real crime to deal with

You should give a shit. #3 is good ole Kimmy Gibler. Hands down. No questions asked.

Let’s be honest, Winnie might get kind of flaky and might not be down to clown.

Penny will be down to clown, but may get all uppity about it or decide to clown around on you.

The Gibler will be waiting in the wings to do some really, really nasty stuff that you don’t feel comfortable revealing to your buddies. The kind of stuff that you’re not proud of, but gets you there every time. The stuff that makes you question the totality of your life’s choices when looking in to the mirror the next morning, but just not bad enough for you to make any real meaningful changes in your life. You don’t like her, but you also don’t really like yourself anyway. That’s the Gibler and that’s why you want her next door.

I came....

if yo kid look like that MIA ana boat ain't your only problem

That's the difference between having a son or a daughter. With a son you only have to worry about 1 dick running around out there. With a daughter.....

Soo... He was the only he was the only guy in a class full of women learning to cook...

Reminds me of college. I signed up for golf as my PE credit. I was talking to my dad about it he asked what the other options were. One of which was Dance. He stopped me and said "You chose golf over being the only guy in a room full of college girls wearing spandex...smart"

Mostly but the special Ed or remedial classes guys were in there too. I tried to signup for some bs class my senior year, my dad took one look and replaced it with Physics…
