I wonder how much money they’ve spent on verbal commitments that end up elsewhere.Ā
Ā

or is it all inflated NIL promises now that don’t cost a dime?

I was about to ask that question as well. I think it has been mentioned they are having NIL discussions very early in recruitments comparatively.

Gerry has been saying 3

He said three, maybe four.Ā  He also said that USC, A$M and LSU's recruiting pitches all lead with NIL.Ā  Which is building a foundation for a house of cards.

That's not really true. Some states and tattoo parlors will allow 16 year olds to get inked with parental consent. I think it likely has more to do with societal acceptance making parents a little more lax on the subject.

Not true at all. My high school had some 14 and 15 year olds walking around with tats, just needed to know someone with a tattoo gun. I bet it’s even worse nowadays. Ā

I watched our high school running back get a tattoo our sophomore year in a bathroom at a house party. He went to Aggie so wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
Ā

That could have been his best offer. Rivals said he had an OU and Nebraska offer. Still he had a tattoo at 16
