There is still a chance to save democracy if we keep the senate.  Biden needs to STACK the fuck out of the judiciary with lifetime appointments and we need a conservative SCOTUS seat, or two, to open up.  But, there would be a 2 year window to save shit.

Or; They like making money and reject social equity promises because their world experience does not show this line of thinking to be realistic or attainable. We Cubans have lived the true side of socialist agendas and reject that bullshit for what it is. You will find this is the case with Central Americans, Mexicans and the rest of the Hispanics who have made their way here largely by working, and not working the system.
Side note; I am quite embarrassed that 44% of my fellow Texans continue to run some Irish kid who changes his name to Beto for political gain. You fuckers are less self aware than the nazis in BCS.

Whatever dude.  The highest use of food stamps and government assistance in Texas are counties on the border.  Hypocrisy at its finest.  Continue to vote for Republican due to religious ideology yet use government programs backed by the Democrats.

Yeah there's a lot of doom and gloom from the Left on here about the statewide races here but this was a very big deal IMHO. These local school board races are very important - a lot more important in your daily life than most of the statewide races. So it was a big relief this group was defeated here.

I disagree on the doom and gloom—to a point. (Early, yes.)

I came home from work on the west coast in a doom and gloom mood. Dropped off my first Cali ballot at a ballot box and headed home. As the night went on, I gained more confidence. I think no matter what happens, this is the best—abosofuckinglutelybest outcome Ds could have. This is a better night than Ds and D pundits thought they would have.

Joe Biden had a badass night/midterm. This will raise how he’s viewed as a president in the history books, imo.

I grew up dead smack in the middle of South Texas.  I was the only kid from my graduating class to go to UT (less than 100 in class). Only a few went to major universities. Probably 1/2 went to any type of college/university. Those that stay work in oil/gas or law enforcement / border patrol.  You know where those industries lean.  Its going to be hard to break the cycle and getting the younger generations to start going blue, if all they know and believe is maga. It sucks.  Some of my best friends are magats.  And unfortunately not changing anytime soon.

That Oltmann is the dickwad that claimed he was on a phone call with the Dominion CTO bragging about rigging the election with the machines.  And he's getting his ass sued off.

Shit house rat.

Looks like most of what's outstanding is in the Atlanta area too.  I wouldn't be surprised if Warnock takes it outright with no runoff.

How much of Atlanta has yet to report though? .9% is a pretty big chunk of votes at this point.

I move to appoint Js1 and StassneyHorn as surly emperors.

Holding the damn line while the rest of us were lamenting the sky falling.

Appreciate it. I’m about to knock out and hand it over to the night crew

I'm loathe to predict anything, other than overall dems got way more votes than the GQP across the country.  And because of gerrymandering and voter suppression this will be way closer than it should be, and we're still overall screwed because there's just going to be more GQP gerrymandering and voter suppression and refusal to accept election results.

But looking at the map, Warnock has 49.4% with 94% in.  Of the 6% remaining, almost all of it is from heavily Democratic areas.  It's certainly possible he'll get over 50%.

It’s possible but I still say runoff.

Did the Dems make up any ground for the House? Is it still looking slight GOP majority?

Dems flipped some seats but lost some seats. Dems will most likely lose the House but the GOP edge could be 5-8 seats. Maybe less. Dems have a *chance* Basically like being down 3 with the ball late in the 4th

First batch of rural NV votes - CCM doing a little better than Biden did. (47 point loss versus 49 in one county that Ralston pointed out)

Maybe another batch dropped - Clark county? Or maybe the same you saw, she’s out performing biden on this second drop too.
