You should it will dial in an understanding of what happened he even said Texas fans are either it’s all arch’s fault or all sark’s fault and he says a little bit of both. Sark needs to de-tendency against UGA and tOSU.

It’s obviously both

Yeah, more experience hopefully helps Arch -- welcome to "The Show".    Colt and VY had bad games too

Yep. Vince got benched against Tech at home in 2003. Chance Mock had to come in and win that game.

It’s a great watch to see just how prepared tOSU was. Still plenty of open guys arch missed more than a few with bad throws or not even seeing them.

anyway, I think tOSU secondary is probably the best in the country. I’m about to hang up the WTF happened and just wait and see over the next month.

the kid is special. He needs time under center. He desperately needs a touch pass and sark needs to scheme around himself for UGA and kick the FG. That’s my final analysis.

Arch is gonna hate that film.  we have guys open downfield everywhere and he has time. pockets were mostly clean. the clock in his head is obviously going faster than it needs to and he's hitting checkdown after checkdown.

almost no anticipation as well.  the throw to wingo on the crosser is horrible everything(footwork, arm angle, timing, etc).

He did have about 5 really good throws but that was about it.

A lot of that he can fix and that was a hella complex defense to read.

Sad thing is even on the big plays (Endries and Livingstone), it took great throws by Arch. That is not to excuse the misses. Not much to like about the passing game. Endries will be a player, but the WRs need to step up there game

Hope our freshmen WRs start earning more reps as season progresses...  Texas passing game needs more athleticism.

I don’t think Patricia defends Ewers the same way if he’s the QB. We will never know though and for that I am very thankful

He doesn’t, he blitzes and stunts more, sells out to stop the run so he can blitz the fuck out of QE on third and long.

They also ran 5 across the line with one backer just behind the 5 and Caleb behind or beside the backer and two CB and a safety deep and let Caleb do whatever he wanted. That defensive formation was fucking sick. Let Caleb read and guess and fuck that guy guessed right most of the time.

Arch vs Caleb was not a fair fight.

We are going to see a season of drop back max pass coverage with no fear of the screen and touch pass game. I hope sark will take the runs and I hope arch develops a touch pass.

There was motion but Caleb was schemed really well.

It’s jarring to watch this and compare it to yesterday. No hitch in his delivery, layers the ball in when he needs to, footwork looks pristine.

I sure hope yesterday was just an off day because it makes no sense, regardless of competition level.

Worse than I remember. I’m still not sure which receiver he was trying for on the pick. Also, that 2nd & 5 miss to Endries was just as bad as the 3rd and 5 miss to Wingo. The bright spots were bright though?

Film guy broke the INT down, first tOSU read it perfectly, there was no confusion they knew the routes as they were being run. Second arch fucked up the throw big time. So who was at fault? Imagine it’s coach and player.

No doubt. I just meant not sure if he overthrew Moore or underthrew Wingo. Way he was missing it could be either

Those are great highlights and I think he will be fine but half of his misses yesterday were the short pass, check downs etc and those highlights have zero short passes. He’s got to learn the short touch pass.

I hear yah but I think he went deep and under threw it bc his feet were fucked up.

As much as I don't like Ketch...

Ketch: "it's year 5 and I don't know what a Steve Sarkisian offense is..."

Agreed. Fucking lay it on this "guru".  Make his dumbass explain himself.  If you can't do HC and OC, hire someone else and stop holding Texas back because of your dog shit offense.

For some sunshine perspective from Pickell:

"Johnny Manziel Week 1 (Heisman year): 173 yds, O passing TDs. Cam Newton 1st SEC start (Heisman year): 200 yds of total offense. Joe Burrow 1st LSU start: 140 yds. It takes time"

Neither does Steve Sarkisian about red zone offense

LMAO at Ketch.  Sark isn't about to give your dumb ass a blueprint for his offense.  It's hard enough to keep opposing coaches from cracking the code.  I'm not saying Sark is infallible, but if his offense were so simple Ketch could define it then we would be royally fucked.

What code? If I am a DC from an elite team just keep it upfront until red zone.  Then Sark will just give me the ball back.

We have spent a very large chunk of Sark's time here going "Hey, what's up with the QB? He looks like shit now."

He’s a fucking moron. I’m not an expert and I get sark’s passing game - Pro style offense, does not want a dual threat offense, receivers overloading the zones, 90% of the time the receiver is on the move, always send someone deep and have the routes go in multiple directions. Kinda top gun style - he went this way, they went that way, where’d he go? Where’d who go? Problem is the best defenses have figured a lot of it out. And with arch the screen game and short touch passes are atrocious so until he figures it out that won’t work.

Best defenses have indeed figured Sark out and he has no answer for it unless he has superior talent compared to opposing team. He's an NFL OC flame out for a reason.  2 years and still can't figure out red zone? You get fired as an NFL OC for this.

That's how damn frustrated I am when I see the same fucking bullshit in offense after 2 years.  Sark is a liability on offense against good defenses and he can't figure it out.

You saw the same stuff for 2 years but don’t know what his offense is? If you wanted to use a shitty Ketch quote as an excuse to just shit on Sark just say so.

I am using whatever to shit on Sark until he figures it out; either in playcalling or hiring an OC who can get the job done.

13 ppg in four games against Georgia and Ohio St over the last 11 months.

All the guys we lost off of last year's offense are in the NFL right now. Ewers, Blue, Golden, Bond, Helm, Banks, Williams, Conner, and oh let's say Majors even though he's not just so it doesn't destroy my point.

Red zone aside in theory you should still be able to find the open man and there was enough there to win by at least two scores. So I’m not fully sour on sark because elite defenses can make it hard on the offense including our elite defenses.

This is a big part of the problem.

One of the biggest weapons in college football is a big, fast, athletic QB.

Sark has one and doesn't want to use him.

He will run him a few times he did yesterday but yeah wanting a VY type super star and that dual threat offense will just leave you sexually frustrated, it’s not going to happen.

Fully aware, but also fully used to it. Frustration over what could be is a defining trait for Texas fans.

The first play of the highlight was almost exactly like his first play yesterday.
