You'll get that with Arch when we have consistent OL play.

I'm not going to spend time arguing about it but Arch created the problem that he had to fix in the 4th qtr. You guys always do this. Arch struggled to play inside the confines of the offense when we were running our base offense and MSU was being aggressive defensively. We spread it out more, and as you know more passing targets on the field make offense easier. It forces the defense to spread out, gets you more one on ones, makes it easier to read the defense, and moves bodies away from the LOS. MSU helped us by basically playing prevent. Arch wasn't having to read a lot. He was in see route throw route mode, and that's where he is best. That said, we should all be worried as soon as we go back into normal offense, because those bad tendencies show right back up again. The O'line isn't reason he doesn't see checkdowns, or misses easy screen passes and slants.

That said it was good to see him slinging it around. The tools are there. Sark needs to give Wingo Worthy's package. He is not a downfield receiver. Keep him around the LOS and let him catch and run. He doesn't win 50/50's ever. Frustrating to watch.

Where are the 9.95s with an injury update for us?

I don’t need to make up sources to tell you he’s in concussion protocol and he will be re evaluated in a couple days

First clip of Arch I've seen post-game.

I got sucker punched by a massive local out here a couple months ago and got concussed. This was me on the way to the car.

Absolutely not. One and out cold. Held onto the cigarette I was taking a drag of when he hit me though 💪🏼

Poor guy. He's so concussed he doesn't realize how many passes he missed in quarters 1-3, in his 10th collegiate start. -Surly

Just our/his luck for Arch to get a little hot and then be out for a couple weeks.

We will win both games with Caldwell as the starter.  Then there will be a huge QB controversy, with former Applewhite devotees calling for the plucky Caldwell to start because all he does is win and Simms mavens saying that Arch should start because of his massive physical talent.

Nobody is beating Georgia with this OL

Just rewatched 4th qtr. Once Arch dialed in, we had some real bad work from receivers. Drops, bad routes, and blocking ok shorter stuff from WRs was bad.

Got to put it all together.

EDIT: Endries & Wisner included.

I was actually glad to see him chastise Wingo on the out route that he didn’t come down with. It wasn’t a great throw, but Arch looked to be telling him to run a better route.

I can't find the post from another thread, but I think @Thatguy is right. We're doing this all wrong with Arch.

I know he came here for Sark's NFL-esque offense. But right now, he's pretty shitty at all that stuff. His timing sucks, struggles with play action, we're playing bunched 12 personnel all the time and depending on too many rhythmic passing plays. While playing behind one of the shittiest OLs I can remember.

Simplify everything. Spread it out. Embrace off-schedule plays/throws. If he needs to see guys open in order to throw it, then get him out of the fucking pocket to create. Honestly, it reminds me of the VY situation with Mack/GD.

If it pisses off the Manning family, so be it. Do they want him to be successful, or continue to struggle in a style that he's clearly not ready for while getting killed in the pocket?

100% this. Been saying this shit since literally about 2Q vs Ohio State. I would add "move the motherfucking pocket" more often.  But nope. We keep doing the same fucking shit and he keeps getting pounded into Bolivian.

Who was the staffer sitting with Arch on the sideline between drives? I dont recall ever seeing him. Young guy, dark hair. Saw him with Arch a few times. Maybe holding a tablet too.

I don't recall his name, but he is an offensive assistant that is usually in the booth. They brought him down to the field and sent Milwee up to the booth to change things up this week. Don't remember where I read/saw that.

EDIT: found it

What the fuck has milwee been doing on the sideline? Looking at the trainers? I agree Texas should be playing 4 and 5 wide for most of the game. Lining up with a couple of TE when none of them are great is aggravating. It just makes it worse when everyone is in tight.

sark and staff have been coaching him the past two years. let that sink in, he looks like he's straight from HS ball

These QB threads are wild.

This kid was really fucking good today. He'd be even better if Wingo could catch the ball and Livingstone didn't tip-drill a pick.

Like how many yards and TDs was he supposed to have today?
