That and they’re also only a game out of the play in. Punting these games in December could be the difference between the 5/6 and the 8/9/10

I’m acutely aware of that.  This isn’t trying to get Lebron’s old ass through a season.  Luka’s 24 with no major injury history.  It drives me fucking insane.

He's not ducking any game lol. Do you even watch, or just when you're the one seed?
That’s not really his MO.  He normally sits out against shitty teams and turns what should be guaranteed wins with him into dogfights without him.
It actually wouldn't surprise me if Luka was skipping this game to get rest. Since Dec 11 the schedule has been brutal. The Mavericks have played every other day including two series of back-to-back games. They've had to travel for every game except one. This crazy stretch of travel doesn't end until January 3rd on which date they start a 7 game home stand but they will still play every other day until Jan 21.

I’ve watched a majority of the wolves games since I can remember.

This year Zion, Jimmy, embiid, haliburton and now Luka haven’t played at Minnesota. For injuries I’m sure. It’s a game Dallas was competitive in pretty much all night. They could’ve stole it with Luka. Now it’s an important one you could’ve had when it comes to April and the difference between a 5/6 seed or the 9/10 is 2-3 games.

Luka doesn’t have no damn quad injury.

Wait until Embiid comes to town.  He hasn't played a game in Denver since 2019.  He's magically healthy when the Nuggets come to Philly, though.

We’re done with Philly, thank god.

Embiid didn’t play at Minnesota but dropped 51 against us last week- in Philadelphia.

Amazing miracles in modern science has helped him overcome these nagging road injuries

That's what he did last year against the Nugs. Big game in Philly and then didn't even join the team on the bench in Denver, but he was on the stadium. He was not injured, he's just a bitch.

Crazy that the Pistons were a basket away from starting the season 3-0. It's not like they're fielding a G-League team.

The only vets they have that contribute at all are Bogdanovic and Alec Burks. Joe Harris is washed. Monte Morris could help that team, but he's hurt. They have 9 guys on the roster with 3 years or less experience (not counting the two way guys, that would make it 12). Cunningham is nice. Ivey looks like a bust. Thompson is super raw. It's also a weirdly/poorly constructed roster and Monty Williams is a terrible. coach. Bottom line, though,  you just can't win without vets. Or in the Warriors case, you just can't win with vets, either.

Exactly!   So many of these orgs want to stack their teams with a bunch of kids for the "potential" aspect completely ignoring the fact that none of them really know what goes into winning at that level.    You have to have some vets to help those kids realize that potential and win some games.    Losing like the Pistons is a HUGE psychological drain and can completely kill those kids will to get better.

true or false: okc is going to be the best team in the nba by 2025-26?

Most definitely true.  They have as good of a young core three as anyone.  (SGA, Chet, and the good Jalen Williams.)  They can commit to those three and wheel, deal, and draft everyone else.

As for this season, however, they're an odd team to be a title contender.  If they're hitting their shots and 3's, they can beat anyone.  I know you can say that about anyone but they can put out a lineup of excellent shooters.  However, they can be streaky and if they're not hitting, they're still small and thin and can't rebound.
