Gordon Ramsay could be an interesting take on Bond and just think of what he cook up for whatever hottie he is banging at the moment.

minimum.  they still don’t have a bond.

And Villeneuve is working on the third Dune movie, which comes out in December 2026.  Plus, he has a number of other projects going on:

and has also been linked to projects in development including Cleopatra; an adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s classic sci-fi novel Rendezcous with Rama; and Nuclear War: A Scenario, an adaptation of the work of non-fiction by Annie Jacobsen, on which we were first to report.

“Some of my earliest movie-going memories are connected to 007. I grew up watching James Bond films with my father, ever since Dr. No with Sean Connery. I’m a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he’s sacred territory,” said Villeneuve in a statement released by Amazon MGM Studios Wednesday.

“I intend to honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come. This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honor,” he added.

Immense talent and lifelong respect for the franchise? Yes, please.

So fucking in. Love that he doesn't shy away taking on iconic films/stories with very opinionated fan bases. He has elevated everything he's touched.

I mean he didn't elevate bladerunner but he did a good job.

Can we get Roger Deakins back then?

And we gonna let Sheridan write it?  Not as dumb as it sounds.  Many of the best Bond film have simple, conflict-riddled plots.  ie, Taylor Sheridan.
