Second and third sons' wives are Subaru drivers. Seem like decent cars. Ain't got a real opinion on 'em, myself.

I thought only lesbians drove Subarus?

Apparently you thought incorrectly... at least, with regard to the "only" part.

Hey now. Wife drove one for 10 years.
She ain’t no lesbian. Just ask her friend Monica. They spend lots of time together.

Seriously though wife did have one. There is some manufacturing issue cause it started leaking oil and it got worse. She found out 1 in 10 or 20have the leaks. Had to take engine completely out to replace some gaskets. $3600 10 years ago. Also AC kinda sucks and that is a no go in Texas.

My brother has one. Whether your vacation town is Cherry Grove, Aspen, or Carolina Beach, it's a solid reliable car that's the perfect size for hauling gear around.

Wow. Massive commit. The process. Surges. Much deliberate.

Getting ahead of the surges is the name of the game. Find those diamonds in the rough before anyone else spots them. Sark is so far behind, it just scares ya to death.

I posted a few days ago that aggy is in 2008/Mike Sherman part of the cycle; stars don’t matter, we got our guy, he gets us, etc. In a few years The Elk will be fired and aggy will go for something a little flashier (Sumlin). He’ll eventually flame out and aggy will push all their chips to the middle (Jimbo). Wash, rinse, repeat

Aggies love the three Ks in his twitter handle.

"Now, John T. Floores was a-working for the Ku Klux Klan

At six foot five, John T. was a hell of a man

Made a lot of money selling sheets on the aggy plan."

Picking a&m isn't especially bright, but count me out of smearing this kid by tagging him with such a label, even indirectly.

Do you mean KKK?

He's Black. I thought that covered the joke. If not, apologies. Seriously.

Aren’t you a surgeon? Measure twice, cut once.

I took it as a jab not at him but at the ags, hence the word indirectly. People are accused of incongruous wrongs every day. Some jokes are overused and hard to erase from the internet and the AIs that now trawl it.

Fong's seen a ULab recruitment once or twice before.

Even when Dylan Moses spurned LSU, he still did all the LSU recruiting stuff, then committed to Bama on NSD and then immediately left the state.

Remember when Derek Williams committed to us and then released a press release a couple of weeks before signing day that he would be going to NSD2, only to sign on NSD1 and nope out of that shit box. It just throws the boudin militia off the scent.

I meant at LSu sorry. I know he spurned his aggy commitment and didn’t know if he had developed at all with Bo there. Recruitment reminds me of him as it’s a Louisiana guy with the same three teams in the running.

Oh, good. I thought we were going to incite another seven-page diatribe on the topic: "If top recruits don't immediately contribute as a freshman, they must be busts"

Aggy has to go insane on a few of these guys that have Texas in the top group so the Texags/247 guys can get the "head-to-head" win for The Elk over Sark articles going, because it damn sure ain't happening on the field as we've seen.

A&M piggybacked their way into the Roseborough recruitment as "close enough to Austin for mom." Sounds like they may have outsmarted themselves in their game theory on what to pay him for the commitment. That is if they think in those methods; unlikely they do. Brauny definitely doesn't understand that, but it's easy to sell subs on the tag line of whooping the gersh dern tsips for a recruit.

@Beau Vine be on the lookout out for Goober Graham posting an article about the Roseborough commitment.

When Samuel Roseborough, Jr., visited Texas A&M a few days ago, not a lot of Aggie fans were intimately familiar with his game or status as a prospect. After his name popped up on the visit list, though, and fans began to investigate who he was a little more, it quickly became clear that not only were they looking to bring in one of the nation's best offensive linemen, they were battling two premier recruiting powers to do so.

Texas A&M was a high choice for Roseborough, but he was also being pursued by Texas and Ohio State. That's two of the top four remaning teams from this past season, so the Aggies clearly had their work cut out for themselves.

Mike Elko is nothing if not a closer on the recruiting trail, however. In the face of Ryan Day and Steve Sarkisian, the Aggies have just pulled off a stunner to land one of the top offensive linemen in the nation.

Texas A&M notches commitment from high-level offensive tackle Samuel Roseborough over Oregon, Texas
With the level of program competing for Roseborough's signature, this was quickly shaping up as a statement recruitment. Just as quickly as the intrigue was growing, however, it was snuffed out, as Roseborough made his decision public.

This is a big win for the Aggies to kick off their offensive line class. The Aggies are up there for several high-level prospects, and have even entertained some five stars over the course of this recruiting cycle, but Roseborough is just the kind of guy you want to lead the charge for the position group.

Texas A&M will now look to guys like John Turntine and Avery Morcho to continue to build this class, but one thing is for certain: Roseborough is a huge win and a guy that these other high-level prospects will want to come play with.
