Final Four in San Antonio

Villanova was the only elite team in the nation this year. CBB has gone downhill. Usually there are at least 2 or 3 elite teams, sometimes 4 or 5. This year 1 elite team in the whole nation.

That’s what happens when you rent players for a few months. Does Nova have any 1-and-dones? I know they started 4 jrs and 1 frosh.

Nova's last four recruiting classes averaged #35 in the nation. They don't have any top level "talent" to leave after freshman year.

He's the best player on 300 D-1 teams but comes off the bench for this one.  That's Nova, and why they're laying waste to UM tonight.

Really, really good team.

Team being the key word. Too many coaches recruiting indivuals and putting individuals on the floor who play for themselves.

Jay Wright has caught on to what Bill Self has caught on to too and what every other coach in the nation should catch on to--One and done's are fool's gold. The dance is dominated by complete teams with upperclassmen who have played together. What you want to recruit in CBB is guys who have a nice ceiling that is just under NBA level. The one-and-dones just disrupt continuity and tend to flame out in the dance even if they have a great regular season statistic wise. The only time a one-and-done team has won the title is Calipari's 2015 team and they had the ridiculous combo of Anthony Davis and Marquis Teague and some others.

well- if you can hit 3 pointers almost at will, you will most likely win bigly

It helps their defense so much too. Every time they hit a dagger 3, the other team runs down court and jacks up a stupid shot.

That’s the amazing thing about Nova, every player on the court can drain the 3 at will

Yeah, that's nearly impossible for a defense to deal with. Hoiberg was doing that at ISU and he had that one team that did that and should've gone far in the dance that year but they got jobbed by the refs and Aaron Craft when they played OSU at some venue in Ohio that day.
