We are desperately in need of an actual offensive coordinator. People are calling for replacing a number of offensive coaches, but really we need to hire a new OC and then build a new offensive staff around the new OC. Who you got?

Sark? Maybe if he steps down as HC.

You think Sark would possibly step down?

As far as a new OC, I see that going over as well as if TCU had asked Patterson to hire a DC to share those responsibilities.

Sark stepping down from HC to OC was a joke. Unlike Sark, Patterson was able to pull off his double duties. The TCU defense didn't look like refried dog shit under Patterson.

Now, Sark stepping down from his OC duties shouldn't be a choice. CDC needs to do his job and make it happen.

Would have been a cheaper get when he was the OC at UTSA.

You obviously weren't paying attention during thew last few years of Gary's tenure in Ft Worth.  Sonny dropped 40+ on him in consecutive wins by SMU and Riley absolutely torched him when he was OC at OU.

CDC will only make it happen if he has the money behind him incase Sark says no because Chris is a businessman first and foremost.

Greg Davis knows how to effectively utilize a dual threat QB

So you are saying Greg Davis is more creative in his play calling than Sark?

Look at this concept and see for yourself:

Damn, Malcolm Williams.  If he only had a few more plays like that long TD against Tech.

Yeah, I am aware of the drop-off around the 20th year of Patterson's tenure. But we aren't talking about Sark's 19th season here. We are talking about the dog shit he has been rolling out in the beginning of his tenure.

Where's Major?  South Alabama have an issue with a little moonlighting?

No, not interested, and he is permanently banned from coaching at UT. I hope that chola puss was worth it.

Seems like other programs appear to get it right with regards to assistant coach hires year after year. Texas has a strange history of getting head coaches that only want to surround themselves with sycophants. Is that on the ADs past and present?

Culture talk is only semi palatable when you are winning if you’re losing well it’s not hard to figure out your culture obviously fucking blows. Just hire the best damn available coaches not the ones that are going to stroke your fragile ass egos.
Also just an observation but fuck those white smock bullshit vest Sark wears. It’s not a signature look, they look like something the staff wears in a mental institution for the criminally insane.

I'm sure this will get some negs, but, Art Briles is tan, rested, and ready. Just watch him like a hawk, and don't let him near the women folk.

Had anyone asked if Colt McCoy wants to coach?

Colt was interviewed recently and said he has no interest in coaching. He enjoys being a dad to his 4 kids.

Lost 5 in a row with the Jags. He was promoted when the HC (Cane Womack) got hired as Bamas OL coach or some role on Deboer's staff.

Sadly, when a HC is forced to make some hiring and firing decisions it’s typically a season after that (barring major improvement) the HC finds himself fired as well.

there are a lot of teams I have my eye on (doing more with less type of thing.) the poor AD at UNT is probably trying to bubble wrap his HC and such.

I will never understand why Sark believes he can do both HC and OC. Has he won the big one doing both? No. Very few coaches have and most find themselves forced to hire an OC or a DC and then end up looking for a new gig. Even inventive OCs have to stay on the trends. DCs are figuring out Sark’s stuff on offense and the rest of the stuff not on offense is putrid. In short, he’s failing at both.

so my only hope is that some people with real influence sit his ass down and tell him it’s going one of two ways. He can coach up in the booth and retain both roles or there will be a bloodletting. If he’s really this stubborn that he’s going to ignore what all recovering alcoholics know—that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results—and continue on this path he will find himself no longer HC at UT. Eventually land somewhere as OC and win something that way and go back to doing the same shit (minus the drinking) that caused him to have underwhelming and underachieving teams at Washington, USC and currently at Texas. He is floundering and we can all fucking see it.

Everything is not fine. He’s either going to adapt or he’s gonna find himself on yet another hot seat. Damn.

as far as a list look at teams that have entered the top 25 who aren’t traditionally in the mix. For a coordinator. But it won’t matter a shit bc Sark has been quoted many times as saying calling plays is his superpower and he ain’t gonna give it up.

The way I’m feeling after yesterday’s performance you could talk me into a whole bunch of names. That said I’ll be interested in watching how Neuheisel’s kid looks calling plays for UCLA the rest of the season.

UCLA hanging 42 on Pedo was the most shocking score yesterday.
