Last year everybody wanted Arch.  People thought Sark fucked us out of a national championship by not playing Arch over Quinn.  Now everybody wants Caldwell over Arch.

Apparently all of our backups are Tom Brady at Michigan, just waiting for his shot.

I don't think Caldwell will fair much better but I also don't think he could be worse.  if he can process the progressions just a little bit faster and anticipate open receivers vs waiting for them to be open it could make a difference in passing game but the biggest problem is we still can't run the ball.

Sark is married to starting manning until he throws 4 picks and is the obvious reason for a loss.

there is no doubt the OL(Flood and players) is the biggest problem.

The fuck is wrong with yall? Quinn never looked like this ever.

Not what was said.

It's the yearly cry of "the QB is the reason we're losing". Tons of fans wanted Arch starting last year.

Now with Arch starting, after an off-season and Sark presumably coaching him up, Arch looks terrible. Now everyone wants him benched for the backup.

Sark is failing, massively, at what he is supposed to be great at. Offense and QBs.

To be fair at least this time we know most QBs don’t miss so many wide open players.

Yeah, but a lot of the problems in this offense aren't going to magically get better with a new QB.  The offensive line doesn't magically become decent, the running backs don't magically become durable, etc.

And while Caldwell or Lacey hit a lot of the throws Arch has missed, Arch has hit throws that they probably don't.  How many 3rd down conversions did Arch have last week in the biggest game of the year, under pressure?  Beating Arch up for his shortcomings is fair, but give him credit for the flashes of brilliance, too.  He's just a young QB having an up and down year.  But he still has the most upside of the QBs on this roster, probably by a lot.

Sark is gonna manage the fuck out of the score in that game.  I expect a ton of short passes, manning runs, other runs, just to try to keep the clock running.

I’m not a savant by any means, but it sure seems that having a wide open door at OL is the reason our offense sucks ass. Yeah, Arch misses some throws and isn’t totsally absolved, but even Colt’s 09 line was better than this dogshit line.

Maybe Caldwell could hit an easy out pass to Wingo for a first down and 20+ yards. But we'll never know because Sark is incapable of benching Arch because it's an indictment on his QB whisperer persona. Even Vince F'ing Young had to be benched for Chance Mock to win a game. Yet Vince went on to be the most transcendent QB we've ever had.

This offense was MUCH worse than the Florida game. At least we moved the ball in that game. We have scored only 1 offensive touchdown in each of the last 2 games. Arch is atrocious. If Sark won’t bench him then he sucks too.

when he's not really reading progressions from the pcket fand he's just playing, escaping and can throw a bullet he's pretty good.

I'm not sure why everyone is bagging on arch. I don't think PEYTON Manning would be successful behind this absolute dog shit, abortion of an OL.

Peyton is 49 and can't turn his head, to be fair.

Fair but how many of those throws does he HAVE to make that they wouldn’t cause they hit easier throws on earlier downs?

look I’m not saying the offense starts steam rolling with a new guy.  But I’d Just like to someone, anyone, who can hit a simple throw and see how it goes.

Colt had that innate sense of when to bail and he was pretty slippery.  having Shipley know how to get open when Greg Davis' play inevitably broke down was huge though.

Arch is a good athlete but isn't really slippery.

No, you won't. It's night, my "town" is doing a Halloween hay ride, its dark, the hill billies are high on meth and it's deadly in the hollar when all those planets are aligned. You're getting over your cancer and don't have a death wish.

Yeah, he goes through stretches where he's worthless.  I don't get it, either.

I just don't understand why anyone assumes a completely unproven backup is going to fare any better in this overall offense right now.

Yeah I thought the same thing….and another game where I saw a team try the same thing as a clearly overmatched  opponent.

it didn’t work well for Sam Houston and won’t work well for us.

We don’t know if he would. But we’ve seen enough arch to know he’s not improving. And maybe, if anything, a benching will wake him up.

Honestly can't imagine having a baby in my house at 50 years old even if it was at the other end of the estate. I did 3 of those a long time ago, and could never in my 50s.

their D sucked.  Sark will manage to 24 to 10(Niblett kick return) final.

It’s frustrating as hell watching this team while some other SEC games are on seeing teams score at will. A lot of the time, my first thought is our defense wouldn’t be caught out of position like that… my second thought is “why don’t we run some shit like that that scores easily against these no-name dudes?!” Our D will keep us in every game but offense is disappointing for damn sure.

Sark is going to have to make hard decisions which will challenge his willingness to make the program great.  He can say goodbye to people help get them jobs elsewhere making 500K+ a year(if not more) and say thank you for your service.

He needs to fire himself as play caller, and I don't think he will.

Dude, he is missing wide open receivers, you are off your rocker. Quinn would look great in this offense.

agreed but since I KNOW that will never happen I am hoping that the stuff around him gets upgraded.

CDC will have to fire him if he feels an OC is needed.
