Only having one really tough opponent in Oregon during the regular season absolutely had a LOT to do with how well they're season went...beating OSU in the Big 10 title game solidified it.

Indiana is a good team. They beat Ohio State without their #1 receiver who went down in the first quarter. We couldn’t even beat Ohio State with our #1 Wingo on the field.

But we did not have our # 1 Moseley. I’m not sure Wingo got over his heat exhaustion until mid-year.

As far as the Aggies-went-7-1-data point, they played 8 SEC games.

In the table below, the red line separates the top half of the SEC from the bottom half, and the green lines mark the 8 opponents the Aggies played. Whom they played may have helped embellish their record.

If aggy had only played Kentucky instead of us that last game, they still would have failed to score a TD in their playoff game.

I also think it's crazy to just forgive sark for everything because he beat a now exposed dogshit aggy like it was something that was redeeming.

The win is great, but a real killer instinct coach knows you are on the bubble and destroying them and consuming their soul on national TV gets you a real shot into the playoffs.

Made the playoffs in year one. At Indiana.
Sark was 8-5 in year two. At poor, resource-challenged Texas.

I do think Sark is a better coach than Cignetti. Cignetti isn't as smart, so he has to keep his team focused and playing at a very high level throughout the game, whereas Sark can have his team come out flat like they did against Florida or in the second half vs Kentucky, Arizona State and Vanderbilt, and still pull out the win. 😡

Does anyone know if Ohio State and Michigan fans are up in arms about scheduling Texas?

Irving Meyers has said he’d consider getting out of the Texas game if he were Ryan Day

Dallas Wilson is staying at Florida. Cam Coleman's price is going to be high. No Wilson, no Williams.

I'm guessing Goosby announces his decision within the next 24 hours. Hopefully Wingo and Mosley are healthy by the start of next season, but we still need to grab a stud WR in the portal

I know this isn't popular around here but I like what we have in the receiver room Sark just needs to expand his rotation. They all get open but I think the drops, outside of Wingo, are just simply not getting enough reps. Most of the receivers are running with Caldwell and there is a different velocity from Arch. All of them get plenty open so I say spend on the line and another back. If a superstar come along then throw the bag but only if they are an absolute dog.

All the young guys looked competent on the other side of the ball too. If Boom is the same defensive mind he once was we are winning a title.

That’s not going to happen. Circle of trust or no PT

Agreed. Receiver isn’t close to a need. OL, RB, DL, Safeties, maybe Corners. In that order.

Did you really think everyone would just forget the historical factoid we learned only one year ago?

Lockett and Clark looked good today!

Most explosive Clark has looked since his injury, reminded me that he came back earlier than anyone expected. We finally saw what he is supposed to be.

Clark the biggest pleasant surprise of the game?

I expected Simon to play some. Didn’t know he was third string. I thought Clark looked better than Wisner

Yes

He looked much more decisive and aggressive running the ball. He was unimpressive in his earlier appearances, like he didn't know where to go with the ball.

clark looked great. when he got some patience he made better runs. just needs more reps. he isnt a HR hitter but he can take good yards and finish forward.

i loved what we saw from Simon this year. he has more big play ability. Could be a good duo + whatever portal santa brings

Me too.

I would've liked to see a few snaps for Simon, but Clark looked really good.

If he can improve his vision, he can become even better. He kept hitting his lineman in the first half. Improved a lot in the 2nd half. It was nice to have a 100 yard rusher again. Oh shit, two with Arch.

Any injury news regarding Mosely?

Nope. A reporter asked Sark a two part question in the presser yesterday, the second part being the status of Mosely, but Sark only addressed the first question.

I keep repeating it, but I belive Indiana beats UGA in the NC game. I want that chaos.

What a difference he would have made in that game, and let's not forget Sark being a dumb fuck and playing Wisner over Clark like he's Mack Brown and living off last season where he barely got to 1k in 16 games. So much dumbassery the first 5 games of the season.

Agree with above. I wasn’t impressed with the little that we’d seen from Clark earlier this year, but he looked fantastic last night. Good speed on outside runs, improved vision between the tackles. Ran hard and looked like he maximized his runs, getting the most yards that were available. Still not sure if he can catch.

College football's transfer portal officially opens at midnight ET on Jan. 2.

At least 3 visitors for Texas expected this weekend

CJ Vogel
Initial returns I have been able to gather were relatively positive for Mosley.

The Longhorn wide receiver was spotted on crutches and a protective boot in the postgame after the win over Michigan.

Based off of what I have collected today, the belief is that Mosley avoided significant injury to his ankle/foot. Mosley left the game in the 2nd quarter after a hit on the sideline left him unable to put much weight on his foot and knocked him out of the game.

Again, still early, since the injury. However, the belief is that Mosley should not be sidelined too deep into winter conditioning.

Isn't close to a real need? Guess you slept through the first half.
