Final four without Ohio State or Georgia, and aggy and ou left far behind, praise Jesus indeed.

  • since Texas wasn't in it anyway... it's been fun hate-watching these playoffs 😄 the results have been awesome.

Tech and aggy fan is so stupid. They just regurgitate "at least we made the playoffs" ad nauseum.

I think the final 4 teams are pretty evenly matched. Coaching will determine the champ obviously.

Golding has a week to step up his game.

The early 2 pt conversion attempt, burned on the fake punt, the end of the first half and the free kick all could have been losable offenses.

Their O line held up unlike our O line.

Yes, but their D-Line was scared of Chambliss. Once they'd lunge at Chambliss on a play, that player would just give up like there was no point in attempting to run him down! Amazing!

Question…does the 10 yard rule that applies on normal kickoffs apply to free kicks after a safety?

yes.

Just remind them that if they hadn't shat the bed in Austin, they'd have been playing this weekend.

Yeah and his pocket presence was pretty, pretty, pretty good ...

I have watched five games in a row from 2pm yesterday until now. I think I may be headed for divorce if I’m not careful.

You’ve got one more must watch this weekend.

Set your clock for 7:26 central on Sunday, January 4 for a replay of the 2006 Rose Bowl like I plan to do.

Yes!, the birthday gift that never ceases to stop giving. 🤘

i know this a bit of hindsight..

..but 3rd and goal for Georgia from their 6 yard line with 1:04 left.

If Georgia tries to score with a running play and doesnt get the TD, they can run the clock down to about :20 left. Kick the game tying field goal

leaving Ole Miss with 16 seconds to drive to get in FG range, rather than 56 seconds.

The game wasn’t officiated well overall but this feels like explaining football to my wife.

ha. when Georgia got the DPI call I said "holy shit" kinda loud. the wife, who hasn't watched the game since about the 1st quarter, come out of the room and says "what happened?"

She does this a good bit. My standard response in all cases is "It is hard to explain, you have to watch the game"

I have to force myself to not giggle (because it sounds humorous to me), when I hear the locals answer their phones with, "Moshi-Moshi!" in Japan.

Their folklore says spirits and mischievous fox spirits (kitsune) can't repeat that saying ("Moshi-Moshi!") making it a way to confirm that they're speaking to a human.

I dated a Japanese girl and that always got me. Also the noises they make are the same noises you can find on......nevermind

Have you ever been to a Wendy's in the deep South after midnight? I have and my experience was this.

Yes.

It applies ON ALL free-kicks.

Free-kicks = kickoffs, after-safety kickoffs, after-safety punts, and free-kick field-goal attempts after a completed fair-catch.

No one does the last one much, which is why regards scream bloody-murder when they argue with refs about the rules-- "Whaddaya mean we can't rush the field goal???? That's not fair!" --"Read the damn rulebook, Regard!"

I know about "ara ara!" and other silly stuff. Lulz.

I think GA underestimated Ole Miss who kinda slipped past them when they were looking the other way. Don't think Miami will make that mistake. If OM beats Miami somehow, IU could coast to the championship. Miami looks like the clear #2 seed at this point

Contrary to my participation on this board I’m not an asshole so no. :-)

SO tiresome! Lulz.

You can also use a dropkick legally as a free kick.

I don't think you can do an onside kick on any other kick but the kick from placement.

I have never seen an onside attempt using a punt or dropkick, don't think that would be legal.

I don’t think Georgia let ole Miss slip by ole Miss is damn good. Last four are legit. Maybe Oregon slipped in but they can ball too.

Everyone on this board is an asshole.

Fair given who they just but beat. But, the Miami who lost to SMU, Louisville and couldn't figure out that the key to beating aggy was that they can't stop the run effectively until damn near the end of the game could also show back up and get beat.

Did he though?

In hindsight the post about calling a run play and milking the clock on 3rd and goal with a tying FG secured may have been the play to keep the ball out of chambliss’ hands but I think ole miss still had a TO they would have used there.

Not sure what else Kirby did that you could fault.

Knowing Kirby and his staff they coached the free kick team to be on the ground to recover the onside if ole miss stayed away from it so no time would run off which was next level coaching if true

There was the whole over-aggressive going for it inside their own 35 on 4th and I believe 3 where it was quickly obvious that they were in a bit of disarray and a timeout and rethink was warranted that quickly cost them 7 and put them down 10.

Ah yeah. That was a glorious backfire

I wish Mister Interim hoddy-toddy coach would go up to the podium, and comment on how Fat-Fuck-Kirby's defense SUCKED so much! Lulz. #Karma

Such an odd spot for Ole Miss. love or hate Lane Kiffin if you win a championship.. He will definitely be cheered I’d think if they win, anytime he returns. (Maybe after a few years)

You must’ve not seen all the Fuck Kiffin shirts in the crowd.

There was some very questionable clock management on both sides of this game.

And frequent INT Beck is ALWAYS lurking in the shadows. People forget about this and they absolutely shouldn't.

Somewhere Carson Beck is happiest man in America not having to face UGA

Ole Miss will beat Miami. Running QB will be their kryptonite and the Miami offense is shit.

up until the point when Ole Miss went up by 10 they only had 1 penalty. after that they had 3, not including the blatant missed facemask

So the only team with a bye that won was Indiana. Makes you think twice about getting a bye.🤣🤣

It's not just pocket presence, the line just didn't have any breakdowns. Georgia had to bring extra men to get to him leaving them vulnerable on the back end.

Yep. Beck has inexplicable bad games and you never know when they are coming. Lol

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Jesus for eliminating all the teams with the most insufferable fan bases: aggy, Tech, Bama, UGA, and Ohio State

That's the weirdest part about him. He and Quinn had extremely similar years in 24. However, it was predictable when Quinn would have errors. Almost always under pressure with longer route patterns when he had to sit in the pocket for a long time. Honestly, Reed has the same issue, not that they are the same quality, just have similar issues. Most QBs who have issues have them consistently under x, y and z conditions. Not the case here. Sometimes, not under any pressure in the pocket, sometimes rolling and a late decision to throw, sometimes in a very WTF way. Then he has a game like yesterday and I'm left scratching my head.
