More like Fernando Mendoza seeing him fired

I don’t get the Dolphins axing the GM but keeping the HC. I get the Browns and Raiders doing their dumb shit bc that’s what they do and why they suck. The Jets should have an opening soon? Have to have the trifecta of shitty teams starting over all over again before the draft.

I honestly can see the Raiders hiring Kliff. But he better find himself a world class DC.

Maybe they want a new GM to come in and clean up the mess after Tua is released, and the pool of retread corches is a little deeper. Can't imagine they'll be keeping mcdaniel around much longer.

I could see that. #1 pick for a Heisman QB and an offensive guru and QB developer

If that happened who SHOULD he get as DC? Because growing up I always thought of the old Raiders as being like Kiss but badass on defense.

I see that too. The GM should be hired first and make the decisions. I don’t have any historical data but has there ever been a situation in which a HC was hired prior to the GM and it’s been successful (like SB and long running success type stuff)

Cardinals coach gone. His name was Jonathan Gannon. I swear I haven’t ever heard that name even when they beat the tar out of Jerruh’s band of misfit losers.

Seems a little knee jerk considering the QB situation there but they perennially suck ass too.

Cards are now paying out contracts on 18 or 19 ex head coaches. I lost count, too lazy to actually get the right number.

At least Mike can say he wasn’t fired by Cowboys. He coached out his contract, didn’t get a new one. Jerry hates firing coaches hence he’ll end up keeping Eberflus.

Leave it to Dallas to not only lose to the Cardinals but get blown out at home on MNF.

Good thing someone corrected Vic on "McDaniels" being "McDaniel". I don't know how anyone could have surmised who he was talking about otherwise.

I wish this capri wearing fucker would come be our OC.

Needs to have language in any contract being offered to McDaniel that stipulates length of pants, or shorts. The following bottom options are absolutely verboten “Jorts”, “Gauchos”, “Pantaloons”, “Peddle pushers” or “Capris” of any kind. This will not be tolerated and will be considered “cause” for termination.

Yeah. Dude has the chops as an OC. He had to scheme around fucking Tua for fuck’s sake. He’s talented but he ain’t a HC. I’m shocked Stefanksi was let go. He ain’t exactly allowed to choose the QB situation he was dealt, the Cleveland defense is salty.

He was a head scratching hire for me at the time, and I have seen nothing since to indicate he can serve as the HC of a bunch of men with his emo dork persona running around in capris. I can see guys like Vrabel commanding respect in the locker room....Ruxin not so much. His offense looked pretty good with a healthy Achane, Hill, and Tua (before his brains got permanently scrambled), but a lot of people would put up points with that core. His offenses the last couple of years have been in the bottom third of the league.

Sadly, I think Carrol is just washed. In the few interviews I saw of him this year, it jumped out at me how old he seemed, like we're a year of two away from "OK Grandpa, lets get you to bed." Hats off to the man, he had a hell of a career succeeding at the highest levels of both college and the pros. But father time catches up to everyone eventually and at 74, his age was starting to show.

Is Cleveland keeping Schwartz as DC? Complete dickhead, but excellent defensive coach. Perhaps someone could pair Kliff and Jim on a staff, should Schwartz be able to resist kicking KK’s ass.

The NFL doesn't let coaches dress like Tom Landry anymore, but they allow that shit.

No, league-wide apparel deals with Nike. Gotta rep the swoosh's gear.

I think they are required to wear team gear with logos now.

They let McVay running around like New Hope Luke Skywalker with emo hair so anything goes. Didn’t McDaniel used to play football? He looks like he weighs 120 pounds dripping wet if that.

This thread always reminds me of an email chain that got two girls fired at the Austin ad company I worked at.

We had a big layoff (2008) and two young account executive gals kept a running tab of who got hit. Someone else saw the email chain and was bothered at their lack of empathy (guess they were making jokes about people on the list), they shared it with management and the girls got axed. Can you imagine calling your parents and telling them that you fired for this, haha?

We also had another funny one. We had the Southwest account and one of the account girls went ballistic at the airport to an employee at the counter when they didn't give her the trip credit. (Southwest didn't give us the miles, cause we billed them for our travel.) The Southwest employee complained, and Southwest called up the agency about her. Fired, haha.

Here’s another good firing story:

My cousin worked for a petrochemical plant on the coast. Like most companies, they had a cybersecurity policy to lock your work station when not at your computer, don’t use someone else’s account if it’s open, etc.

A guy on another shift was quite a prankster. My cousin said this guy got into another employee’s account when that employee went to make rounds in the plant and didn’t lock his screen.

The prankster (I went to school with this guy and he was always pretty funny) proceeded to use the other employee’s email account to tell the entire plant site (or might have been the entire North America email list for the company) that he was announcing that he is out of the closet as an openly gay man.

Prankster got fired of course. He worked at a car dealership for awhile before getting into long-haul trucking.

I did not know that. Thanks.

I want McVay to stop using gel and be forced to ditch the facial hair and grow out a 70’s feather haircut like Luke’s New Hope look. McVay already has the utility belt. And he’s short for a storm trooper. Cosplay!

Really dumb and really epically funny, hahaha. Hats off to the dude, lol.
