2026 Peach Bowl - Oregon vs. Indiana (CFP Semifinal #2)

Featured Replies

Indiana execution and The Moore turnover machine is the story of that half. 21 points given away to a team that doesn't make a lot of its own mistakes was a choice.

Phil Knight has been trying (and failing) to buy a championship for the better part of a quarter century. I know everyone's doing it now, but it's still satisfying to watch them implode on the big stage time and time again. Just a soft, gimmicky program.

Also, can the Dan Lanning shit finally stop now? He's not an upgrade.

Well, I think it's highly calculated. He's a good evaluator as is his staff, good developer also.

But he's gonna have to start dealing with NIL and the portal and prima donna players in earnest.

I don’t think Cig has any desire to deal with prima donnas and has proven he doesn’t need to.

Saban lead MSU to their highest ranking in what almost 40 years? playing against teams that had those star recruits.

And at the time MSU to LSU was maybe a slight move upward, not the big jump that the same move would be today.

After so many years of hearing him speak I still have trouble understanding Desmond Howard.

Are you saying he isn't well-spoken enough?

I’m saying he sounds like a mush-mouth like he is talking with a mouthful of mashed potatoes.

Despite the Zebra agenda, Indiana still dominates. No holding , no DPI, no face mask calls until the end of the half. Pathetic.but happy for Indiana , hope the mud hole the convicts and crystal balls.

We'll see.

JMU and pre-Cignetti IU are probably about as prima-donna proof as you can get.

Will he be able to avoid 5-stars? Will the players he gets stay put the way they have at JMU/IU?

Not wanting Moore back is insane.

Dan Lanning has had the chance to leave Oregon and didn't do so. I think beyond what's occurring on the field, looking up at the disparity in the crowd has to have him thinking about that decision.

Did they just say the coordinators were making $6k and $8k at their first job? No wonder these guys are awesome they were fucking homeless.

That was an amazing story about those guys. Good for them that they are getting financially rewarded now.

Truth is, he brought his program damn near intact.

It may get interesting the further removed he gets from JMU.

Or one could look at it as if he can draw/develop that type of talent at JMU imagine what he can do at a Big 10 school

Back then the LSU job wasn’t anywhere close to the same level as it is considered to be today.

Curly Hallman, Jerry Dinardo say hi.

Yeah, that was before they were able to hire coaches the caliber of Les Miles and Ed Orgeron.

God damn, that's so racist.

My niece is at the game and told my brother it looks like an Indiana home game.

This is boring. Imma drink more

Keep drinking but it’s actually football art to watch a team execute so well with such discipline on both sides of the ball. Hope Indiana takes it all.

Cig isn't doing anything special, he is just making sure he has competency in all his units. That's it. No one is special. They just do their jobs.

Meanwhile all we needed to do is upgrade our line play. We had enough in the RB room with what's coming in and what we had. We had enough in the WR room. We just needed O-line and blew it all up for shiny objects that we didn't even get. Now we are gonna get the same caliber players that left and likely pay more for them. Just dumb.

Curt Cignetti was Saban's recruiting coordinator, and we know how seriously Saban took that. You can dispel the notion that he can't identify talent and recruit it. He has shown in this job, he can develop it.

Mendoza is making some incredible throws, and his WRs are making some great catches.

well, bad showing tonight or not, if Moore gets feedback that basically states he would be the #2 QB picked, he would be silly to return

It’s almost as if productivity and achievement is rewarded in CFB, not always the case….

Aggy has been doing this since 1939 and now Tech.

26 months ago, IU had just finished out a 3-9 season with a 35-31 loss to Purdue.

Since then, IU is 25-2 and 2-0 against Purdue, with victory margins of 66–0 and 56-3.

Mendoza is what happens at the college level when you couple above average athletic ability, amazing smarts and years of experience. The game is slow for him at this point and he is more than athletic enough to take advantage of it.

Looked like Cignetti said who jumped, tell me, I'm gonna bench his ass.

Don’t forget Tylenol while in the womb

Those medium distance out patterns are a thing of beauty from Mendoza.

Hope we stay at 50% of IU's biennial losses.

His pocket instinct is so far from Quinn Ewers. That run would've been a sack

Este. I’ve seen a couple of NFL level throws out of him tonight. Not sure whether the game is going to stay slow for him at the next level. It’s definitely not slow for Moore rn.

This is a masterclass in why arm talent is only important to a point.

when it's going your way.....

LOL linemen following the play beats out 3 Oregon players for that fumble
