Didn't expect to be sick to my stomach on a Friday. But here we are.

Every time I’ve taken my daughter to Build-a-bear she filled out the birth certificate on a little computer and none of the employees had any control over it. This sounds like another made up situation for dipshits to get enraged about

Government Shutdown 2025: This Time It’s Personal
Nivek replied to Bozo_Casanova's topic in Cloak Room
Warren is not a national figure she is regional. She isn't necessary to help someone like Jasmine or AOC to get office. She isn't or wasn't a drag on Harris. The bitcoin thing is silly. It needs to be regulated, the pump/dump or rug pulls common in crypto scams are hurting younger folks and they need protection from their own gullibility. Her biggest contribution was in the development of the CFPB which could have been great. She did her part. She keeps trying to do her part. Big Tech was always going to go to the republicans, because they are arrogant, live in a bubble, and think they alone can reshape the world in their image. They morphed and were corrupted by money which made them think their app that created face mustaches was critical to the world order, and not just another beanie baby. They thought the cash = genius and they were seduced by authoritarianism. It is why Musk's pivot was never really a surprise. I disagree with you about Ted Cruz. He is not beloved, but he is more than tolerated. They might not personally like him, but they side with him, help him, and allow him to show up to their events. That is acceptance, despite what we hear. The DP wants the United States to prosper as a democratic state, its citizens to prosper, it is largely happy with maintaining the status quo in doing so and moves slowly, and can sometimes not realize the temperature of the pot of water it rising. The republicans wipe their ass with the constitution and become an autocratic state. I identify with the democratic party more than I align with the latter. Something about tearing families apart, redistribution of wealth from the bottom to the top, and destroying the future seems to motivate me toward the opposition. -
USMNT 2025 - Easy English, hard ones Spanish

Absences: Unavailable due to injuries are the PSV duo Sergiño Dest and Ricardo Pepi and Atletico Madrid midfielder Johnny Cardoso. Jack McGlynn underwent foot surgery after being injured last weekend with the Houston Dynamo. Tyler Adams will not be with the team because his wife is expecting any day. -
Losing steam on Black Rabbit through five episodes. They're not giving me much to be interested in, and I don't care about any of these stupid shitty characters.

Had a leftover burger patty from cooking out a couple days ago. That’s my homemade blue cheese dressing that will knock your dick in the dirt. Onion and a mater. those beans are what my granddaughters refer to as Pops’ Candy Beans. They are mighty sweet but also are loaded with jalapeños.

The tacos at MacArthur and 635 used to be fire. Then, some corporate outfit bought it and fucked it all up. Fucking bean counters, man.

If Manny doesn't play I am a little uncomfortable with our secondary situation this week in terms of covering guys down field. Gilbeau can be had, and Kobe Black isn't particularly a burner. Knowing that Lagway's best trait is explosive downfield passes, I would much rather have guys with long speed this week on the outsides. -
ASM been talked about here?

Yeah. They got it last time and instantly started acting entitled to it as soon as things went bad for them again. They expect it and feel entitled to it. Claiming they don't like it is ridiculous. But this is a Senator who needs their votes so of course she is going to stroke their egos.

Yes, that’s the world we live in.

Q for the Surly law dogs (IANAL, although my brother and ex were both attorneys and then judges so I got doused in it frequently lol) - do you think that law schools like UT will continue to seek ABA accreditation regardless of this? It seems many states including my own (WA) require all applicants to the bar to be graduates of an ABA-accredited law school, and in the current climate I don't see them changing that to accommodate other states who apparently for political reasons are removing the ABA accreditation requirement.

Things not going well for Spirit Airlines
futureman replied to Parliament's topic in Business and Markets
was spirit ever near the top in profitability in the last decade or so? I thought that was a thing I’d heard at some point but maybe not true. -

Godfather 1 + 2 together stand alone as a saga but Goodfellas is in the same tier of either as a stand-alone. Departed isn’t there with them, or other Scorsese greatness like Raging Bull. I also forgot how selling ultra-high tech microprocessors to the Chinese is the Macguffin for this movie. Yeah, that’s for sure another way for the FBI to end whatever deal they have with you LOL.

In DFW, Fuel City still has incredible tacos. A few years back TM named it the best taco in Texas. the best restaurant in a gas station was Chef Point in Haltom City or Watauga. Fine dining chef couldn’t get a loan for a restaurant, could for a fillin station. Started selling fine dining that you ate at a table next to motor oil, and the drink selection was like a QT. Was an early Diners Drive in and Dives feature. a shell station reopened with a taqueria which was stupid as my Arlington neighborhood has three of the best around: 2 Compas, Tic Taco, and Gilberto’s. It closed quickly. has reopened as Rodeo Hibachi. It looks great and getting great reviews. Gonna try it and will report.
