Damn sure is. It's economy is tied to DFW. All that concrete from there ain't gonna be used there.

Smoky Joe Barton could have told you that, but he was too busy taking dick pics

And this is why I think Trump will lose Texas. He was never popular among what typically consists of the majority of Texas Republican voters, has done nothing to increase that except with idiots like Johnny Sack and the top 1 percent who care about absolutely nothing except big tax cuts for them, and Texas republicans are on average not as stupid as the rest of the country’s republicans.

Most people recognize that the Trump tax cut only benefited the top 1 percent greatly and everyone else slightly at the expense of the country at large.

Too many rural idiots who just vote R no matter what.  We still need lots of them to die off.

Texas is no longer even close to a rural state. They will all vote trump and it will add up to nothing. It’s up to the DFW, Houston and to a lesser extent, the Austin and San Antonio suburbs.

The wild card would be if the RGV voters ever decided to wake up. They haven’t so far and unfortunately I don’t expect them to this time either. But if they did, Texas becomes a fairly easy democratic state.

There’s still a ton of people out there combined. The problem is they vote 90-95% republican.

The Dewey Decimal System, what a scam that was. Boy that Dewey guy really cleaned up on that deal.

Ah, Melvil Dewey. The American Library Association took his name off the award given each year at their annual conference. He was a notorious skirt chaser (as well as a noted racist/antisemetic). But his classification system lives on in libraries across America. But, the physical card catalog like, Dewey has turned to dust.

Trump gives milk the Windmill/Toilet/Low Output Showerhead treatment, wherein he takes an item and distorts it until its unrecognizable.

So I realize its just absurd to even comment on, but apparently the president thinks the Canadians are evil toward america because they are promoting “specialty milk” whatever the fuck that is.

The guy is just fucking high on drugs constantly and why is nobody in power pointing that Fact out? He’s fucked up out of his mind.

Trump is like Seinfeld, but without the personality, sense of humor, or self- awareness.

Aaron should have put it in context--it was tariff related, but it wouldn't have mattered because the people in Mosinee attending a Trump rally wouldn't understand how a tariff works.

Trump doesn’t understand how a tariff works either.

Oh there's gonna be one hell of a tweet storm in the morning after Trump sees the hotfire Uncle Joe was spitting tonight.

Definitely. He was low energy all day. Dr. Atlas must have done some brain scans and then hid the “medication” the President usually takes. If so, the rebound could unleash a tweet storm worse than January.

Trumpworld has spent nearly a year essentially arguing that Biden is so thoroughly ravaged by age that his brain scans must surely resemble swiss cheese. Further,  that the secret cabal of anarcho-lefists which are actually in control of the Democratic party are holding the barely-sentient shell of this sundowning geezer hostage at his home in Delaware and refuse to allow him to speak or participate in the debates lest he leak cortical fluid on the moderator before short-circuiting and shitting his pants.

So, when Biden actually comes out and gives a normal political speech or participates in a coherent town hall, it must be the case that (i) he's being pumped full of some heretofore unknown neurotropic wonder tonic that wears off the second he leaves the stage, or (ii) it's all an elaborate production involving planted audience members, hidden teleprompters and green screen trickery.

biden was fine tonight, especially when contrasted with trump nonsense, but he needs better prep. he needs to stop with all the “by the way” sidetracking he does during his longer, rambling answers.

the content was great, and he went hard after trump, but he meanders. that said, he sounded like an actual empathetic adult, which is nice to see. but in a debate setting, he needs clarity. he needs the 8/20/50 word answers. he needs them memorized.

the headline everyone is ready to write is “trump is crazy; biden is senile”. it needs to be “trump is crazy; biden is sensible”. if biden can keep his answers calm and clear while trump filibusters, i will be happy.

You're no doubt correct. But I, like the vast majority of people, saw only highlights of it. And he looked pretty damn good. Your average voter isn't watching this stuff. Don't get too mired in the minutiae.

What? It 100 percent is. It's 25 miles south. It's population hasn't doubled the past two decades because it's a destination.

Maybe not a suburb in a bedroom community sense but Ellis County is DFW MSA. Those distribution centers and such aren't there because of Waxahachie on its own. It's not growing rapidly because it's some little slice of paradise.

This. We have traveled to and from family north of Texas for over a decade and the growth in the south has been steady. We've taken multiple routes over the years and it's been a mix of commercial and residential but definitely growing.

but they’ll watch the debates. that’s the whole point.
Debates don't matter. They don't change minds in this climate. Clinton won each debate with Trump by double digit margins. Wasn't even close. Didn't remotely matter. If someone wants to vote Trump despite him spewing drivel, they'll find a way to justify it. The inverse is true with Biden. He could stutter every word and the 52 percent of the country that has consistently disapproved of Trump isn't going to give a fuck.

Just look at zork right below you. Anyone can cherry pick to support what they want to think.
