You know, I once asked my friend from A&M how many sexual partners he'd had. He started to count, and then he fell asleep.13 points

I’m at a live watch party this morning! About 30-40 folks here - for small town Alabama, on a Saturday morning that’s not too shabby. I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!7 points

I've known for a while but didn't want to say anything until it became public. Paden was a great kid from an amazing family. As someone who was diagnosed with cancer at about the same age that he was, his passing hit me extra-hard. I am so lucky to still be here. And I am so devastated for my good friends that Paden is no longer with us.7 points

Why would anyone want to replace Coach K? I think Tech has a real chance of keeping Beard for a while. He could turn them into a Michigan State type team. There is plenty of talent within a 6-7 hour drive of Lubbock to be elite and he has a winning formula with the graduate transfers. He isn't going to the NBA and the only possible Blue Blood is UCLA. We aren't going to money whip him and honestly Tech has better facilities, stadium and fan support than us anyway. Our only real advantage is that he graduated from here. But his real education was under Bobby Knight at Tech. Good for them. Sucks for us.5 points

We have to shift the narrative on "likability" by defending the women as likable, not just by shaming misogyny. Shaming misogyny not only doesn't work against misogynists, it reinforces the false belief because it comes across as defensive; like we think it's true but we shouldn't say it. Fuck that. Elizabeth Warren is likable. Let's go issue by issue - "Pocahontas" No one who is worth a shit as a potential voter cares about this. Anyone who cares about this as an important issue is either deeply stupid or a concern-trolling right-winger. The right-winger is unreachable and there's no understanding what will win a dumbass. She was told as a kid she had Native ancestry, and a DNA test confirms that she does. She didn't use it to get any advantages. - "She drank a beer" Fuck you. People drink beer. She doesn't pretend to be a boozehound, a bro, or a craft beer nerd. She had a beer in her kitchen in an informal setting. She didn't make a huge scene about it, she went and got a beer and drank it while she talked to people on Instagram Live. Fuck off. Beer companies sell millions of gallons of that bullshit every year, where do you think it's going? It's going into every bourgeois refrigerator in this country because we live in such an unrelenting hell even the little buzz you get off a beer (or 7) at the end of the day is a relief. - "She needs media training" You need go-fuck-yourself training. She's fine. Biden is a molester, and he's #1 in the polls. Bernie is a finger-wagging scold, and he's #2. - "She's comes across like a grandma" Grandmothers rule, fuck you. - "Elizabeth Warren is an angry woman" Nope. She gets mad sometimes, but she's a passionate defender of her ideas. She stays far more calm, cool, and collected than basically any male politician you'd care to notice, including our dumbfuck president, the weeping brat we just put on the SC. In the force of her passion she remains articulate and clear. She doesn't get flustered and stammer, she's tough as hell. Angry woman. Angry black person. SO EMOTIONAL! Fuck these tropes. Elizabeth Warren rules. Fuck all y'all. Fight me.5 points

Whitewater - Just a minute ago, you said you didn't care if Trump was a crook before he worked for the federal gov't. So whether I believe they were guilty in whitewater or not, its irrelevant since it occurred prior to Bill being President. Chinese campaign funds - I have little doubt that China was sending money through 3rd parties for Congressional and Presidential campaigns even though China denied it. I have no doubt that some of that money made it through. For sure, however, when they tried to send money to Clinton's legal defense fund, it was rejected. So do I think the Clinton's solicited that money or even knew it was there until after the investigation? Nope. Rose Law Firm - Whitewater again. Alleged criminal activity occurred prior to him being President. Furthermore, all this is in Starr's book which you can buy in its entirety. Funny how transparent that investigation was compared to what we are seeing now. And Starr was a political hitman who fully intended to sink Clinton and found nothing that could make that happen. Unlike Mueller, who is actually trying to find the truth whatever it may be. Email destruction - I find it interesting that your concern over private email seems to only matter for Hillary. Personally, nobody should be using private email for government business. Or Whats App. Or texts. Or Twitter DMs. But I also think she's an old and dumb technophobe and had no clue as to what she was doing. Clinton and AG meeting - So two people that know each other have a conversation and they know you are going to see them go behind closed doors together. Most people looking to do something dirty, don't do it so openly. For $30 each, they could have used tracfones to collude. And they may well have been, but that meeting itself is much ado about nothing once again. Hillary Testimonies - She has probably spent more time under oath on Capitol Hill than any other individual in history. It should be telling to you that not a single indictment came from it. Remind me again of how many times Trump has testified under oath? Not getting caught - For what you believe happened to be true, Hillary would have to be one of the smartest people in the history of the world. I'd rather vote for the Hillary you believe in than the actual Hillary. The actual Hillary was an aging Boomer who knows nothing about technology or communications security.5 points

Well, clearly he learned their evil ways and has been in bed with power and money ever since. His first sneaky plan was to leave McKinsey after 3 years, or at least make it look like he voluntarily left, so he could infiltrate the world renown and flashy Indiana State Treasury. When he lost that election, he and McKinsey were not deterred. The next genius step was to run for mayor of his hometown of South Bend, named one of America's top 10 dying cities. It's where the elitists go, so everything makes sense at this point. There he helped develop a smart sewer system, using sensors and technology to save the taxpayers over $100 million. Or at least that's what they thought. The reality is Mayor Pete and McKinsey were funneling dirty money though South Bend's sanitation the entire time.4 points

I’m not going to speak for BamaChick but the post she was reacting to did come off as concern trolling with subtle misogynistic undertones. I don’t doubt your candor in your analysis but we’re kinda of sick of hearing the echoes of prepackaged talking points from douchebags in the media about Elizabeth Warren. You pretty much hit the talking head pundit cycle (Native American bs, “likability” bs, she needs to be more photogenic bs, women should know their place kinda crap). If Elizabeth Warren were a white man none of your criticisms would be taken seriously by anyone. It’s the same kinda shit they did to Hillary or any assertive woman that threatens the patriarchal order.4 points

Not to mention, reconsolidation of something like Facebook is near guaranteed. How do you even break Facebook up? Regional social networks? I have to pay long distance fees to friend people in a different region? Amazon makes more sense if you break AWS, retail, and video into 3 separate companies. Especially since they are using the wildly profitable AWS to run the other 2 at a continuous loss or near loss which makes it near impossible for competitors to enter the fray. Other stores can't simply lose money on sales and keep on going.3 points

lol South Bend went basically 75-25 for Hillary and its main industry is a major university, but sure Pete, go off king The only candidate with semi-legit "I get Republicans to vote for me" cred is Killer Queen Klobuchar A few gripes... (1) The "THEY WERE SPITTING ON VIETNAM VETS!" thing is complete, made-up horseshit. Conservatives literally saw it in movies and then pretended it was reality. It wasn't. (2) Our worship of military culture post-9/11 is unhealthy and leads to a glee for perpetual, meaningless war. And the lib frenzy to be Unimpeachable Soldier Respecters is a reaction to conservatives beating them over the head with the made-up "THEY WERE SPITTING ON THE VIETNAM VETS!" bullshit. Our Republican president got elected after saying he likes the ones who don't get captured. Enough with the bullshit performative respectfulness that we only seem to have for fucking cops and soldiers in this stupid country. If you were a soldier, that's fine. I don't care. But I also don't admire your profound courage more than that of an EMT or school teacher. Inarguably, those people actually do more good for the world. But this gets into the "If you don't bend the knee to a soldier regardless of merit or context you hate troops" thing, which is boring, self-defeating, and stupid.3 points

Sigh. Some things change more slowly than others I guess. I've been a victim of what is called seasonal affective disorder at times in the past. Really the only bout of depression that I've ever had started as winter crept in one year. It was the first time i'd ever experienced it, the seasonal thing, and it drug on for the better part of a year and a half but devolved along the way. I was drinking at the time too which probably didn't help. Even after the serious symptoms of depression cleared up I would notice yearly that the wintertime caused me some problems. And springtime seems to kind of bring on the opposite sort of state of mind. More energy, feel better, maybe even a bit antsy/easily excitable etc... Generally speaking. But this year it's been a weird mix because I've been under a lot of pressure at work for the last 6 months. So first it was winter and the associated state of mind, however mild, and then comes spring but this year it seemed that I've been more mentally hyperactive in a negative way. Short tempered, bitchy, a grouch. And of course I've worked my program daily thru all of this in trying to maintain a good place, the place I want to be so that I'm not just a victim of my emotions and things going on around me that I have no control over. Anyway there's a point to all of this as it relates to alcoholism and it's romancing the drink. I'm not sure if it's because of the wintertime blues, the pressure at work or the newfound energy that spring brings but I've found myself at various times in the last few months doing that - romancing the drink. Weird thing, and dangerous, is that I've played that tape to the end and depending on when and how the thoughts came about it didn't sound so bad. A case of the "fuck it"s. So today my Director called me into his office and told me I was getting a raise. Boom. Cloud lifted. In the past and without some way to manage the stress from work and the weird ups and downs that I get from the changes in seasons I'd have fucking lost my shit long before I got to the reward. It really is one day at a time, one foot in front of the other, trudging the happy road of destiny and just trying to stay in the moment. Thanks assholes, and especially you @BearSchlong3 points

The issue here isn't weather Zack made a few mistakes and broke a few rules or took a few liberties with our female party guests—he did. But you can't hold a whole coaching staff responsible for the behavior of a few, sick perverted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole athletic system? And if the whole athletic system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? I put it to you, CTJ isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do what you you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!3 points
