  1. I voted for Trump/Against Hilary Clinton. He should be impeached for: Extortion of a foreign government by withholding military assistance to an ally (and benefitting Russia) in exchange for announcing investigations into a political rival Bribery for promising an Oval Office meeting in exchange for announcing investigations into a political rival Violation of the 1974 Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act by illegally holding up foreign aid passed by congress and signed into law Obstruction of Justice Witness Intimidation/Tampering

  2. I never discuss politics with Mrs. Scorpio. Like I’m going to listen to the political opinions of a 15 year old. Ridiculous.

  3. @EMAWesome-The Democrats are not trying to ‘win’ over Independents, they are conducting an inquiry to discover details about a President withholding aid to an ally in exchange for publicly announcing an investigation into a political rival/American citizen. Do you have anything to say or contribute about that?

  5. This is why we can't have nice things. He's gone out of his way in a manner that very few people in his position ever have or would. He has even acknowledged these issues in phone calls with many of you and has indicated that changes are likely to come after the season is over. Why don't we at least give him the opportunity to do so at the reasonable time he specified? Why not also avoid abusing his impressive responsiveness and openness by giving him the courtesy of not sending repetitive emails after he's, again, already acknowledged the issues and committed to addressing them?

  7. Gen X is the absolute best generation. Everyone else is a bunch of slap dick ass clowns. Last generation to grow up without the internet. We also know how to fuck chicks with or without internet assistance. We can fix your computer but also know when to ignore them. We also didn’t use our student loan money to travel the world and then bitch how we shouldn’t have to pay it back. Gen X is the most well rounded when it comes to employment, pussy, beer, and drugs. We respect others, aren’t snowflakes, work hard, and created great music. Fight me.

  8. Hi, I pop into CR threads from time to time to point out things I think are bad for Democrats. I only complain about Democrats. Here is an example that's not as good as I think it is but it's about a Democrat. Also, I don't care which side they're on. The best part? I think people actually believe my bullshit.

  10. Im Black, and honestly Obama was more of a controversy for my family in terms of politics than Trump has ever been. We disagreed on how well of a job Obama was doing, though the general consensus was that he was doing well enough. With Trump there is no ambiguity at all. We’re in complete agreement that that motherfucker sucks. He affirms it every time he opens his mouth. In fact, we’re so united on that belief that we hardly ever talk about him. What’s there to discuss?

  11. You know Trump is really thinking, “I can’t believe THIS is what they’re impeaching me over. I have done so much far worse shit than this and everyone knows about most of it. SAD!”

  15. Impeached, not removed, wins in 2020. Dems win more house seats and Senate seats, but still in minority in Senate. Wife convinces me to buy house at Cedar Creek Lake in early 2021. Locals refer to us as that "that Spanish fella with the redhead". I die three months later of a massive heart attack at a Gun Barrel City liquor store.

  16. You guys are arguing with someone who spent eight straight fucking years from 2009-2016 throwing around histrionics regarding deficit spending and the national debt who conspicuously disappeared on the issue right around January 2017.

  18. Dude, please come be on one of my juries. In my almost decade of criminal defense, I have never once encountered anyone in a jury pool who thinks that specific intent must be proven by the accused articulating that intent. It's also not what the law, in any jurisdiction, says. "Yes, my client broke into the house. Yes he was wearing gloves and a mask. Yes he had a large black bag and burglary tools. But ladies and gentlemen, as you know, the people must show that my client had the specific intent to commit a crime after entering and you have heard no evidence that my client ever told anyone he was breaking into this house with any specific intent to do anything."

  21. This is one of those cases in a jury trial where you probably want to have the jury draw its own conclusion about whether that conversation actually reflected the intention of Trump or whether it was a half-hearted denial of the truth. The idea being that fact finders that reach their own conclusions do so with more conviction than when spoon-fed a conclusion. However, in this instance, it would probably have been wise to ask Sondland: So, did the President's protestations that he wanted nothing from Zelensky ring true? Were those protestations consistent with what you knew of the President's behavior toward Zelensky? Do you know why he specifically mentioned "quid pro quo"? Is it your overall impression that this conversation was an effort by the President to deny or distance himself from what had actually taken place? That, until that conversation he had in fact wanted something from Zelensky very badly and was willing to use military aid as a quid pro quo to get that something?

  25. Um....no. His last two years with SF he started 19 games. SF's record was 3-16 during those starts and 1-10 his final year. That's not good enough to be a starter in the NFL. And don't bring up who his receivers were. Put those same receivers with Tom Brady or Drew Brees and they'd have much better stats. The problem wasn't whether or not he could be a backup QB. The problem was that he wasn't worth the money he wanted for the role he needed to be in. And then all the drama around him made it a risk/reward situation for any other team. His performance over the last two years wasn't good enough to get him a starting shot elsewhere. This isn't Teddy Bridgewater going 5-1 while Brees is hurt and possibly getting another starting opportunity with another team the next year. This is Jon Kitna filling in for Romo for 4 games and then going back to Home Depot or wherever. Hey, Michael Vick got another shot with the Eagles despite a lot of public outrage. That was because he was willing to stay out of the public eye and keep his mouth shut and was just glad to be on a roster. I don't see that from Kaepernick.
