I can understand why Pancho would see this and feel the way he felt. Even if he did jump the gun. When I first heard about this, I prayed that this wasn't that type of evil. But, wanted more information. However you, are nothing but a vile piece of shit, who's only agenda is political propaganda. You're whole schtik is built around fear mongering, spreading false information and victimization for political purposes. I would call you a low down dirty son of a bitch, but even a bitch would have aborted you. In the other thread, when I said I wouldn't accept bullshit from anyone, I was specifically referring to assholes like you. With friends like you, I wouldn't need any enemies.13 points

I was spectacularly disappointed the first time I went to a Kum & Go. Not what I was expecting at all.12 points

My heads not in the sand. I’m just tired of everyone blaming it on “sides” and being outraged at something new everyday the the other team is doing. You know what else was going on in April? Everyone was bitching that “the other side” hadn’t really shut down. People were bitching about beaches being open. Enough wasn’t being done. But history is being revised just a month later. Now we are outraged that people are going to protest. Or no, it’s not the protest, every single one of them was being responsible, it’s those rural rubes, or people going to the 50% capacity restaurant. It’s never “my thing” that is the problem or all the things as a complex whole, it’s just simply some other imaginary fucking side that is the problem, and it is so goddam tiring.11 points

Proud of my city tonight. Half full arena, tons of BLM being peaceful, marching to Greenwood. Reports of a few isolated fights and BLM protesters are insisting on peace. I can tell you between Greenwood and the rally I spent about 30 mi utes at earlier I’d say the anti trump people out at least equaled the maga fucks.10 points

Tbh we should do this for general education purposes, not just because of COVID. The vast majority of people have no idea what being a "full code" entails, and maybe if they saw us shoving a breathing tube down a 92yo memaw's throat while we break her ribs from chest compressions, and her arm becomes necrotic from the intense blood pressure medications we have to push through unsafe veins, they would have second thoughts about wanting "everything" done. There are far worse experiences than death, and being coded (and surviving) when you've already had a very long and fruitful life, is one of them. I promise you wouldn't want it done for yourself, so don't put your family through it.9 points

It looks like the Texas half of the Cotton Bowl in the 4th quarter during the Mack era. <ducks>8 points

This Karen in Baton Rouge ( I think) got dragged and this guy that dragged her should run for her spot. Dude, I'm here for your words about leadership. We need it so bad, we are thirsty for it.8 points

New York has had massive, sustained protests now for three weeks. We also have wide spread mask usage and strict limits or prohibitions on in door gatherings. Our cases continue to decline. Texas also had some protests, but has chosen to open indoor businesses and not enforce mask rules. Your cases are spiking. Gotta be the protests.8 points

Public heath regulations and enforcement shouldn’t be on local businesses. How anyone thinks this is out of the scope of government is beyond me. This is precisely why Pinthouse closed for a while, they didn’t want the responsibility of making and enforcing public policy regulations for the safety of their patrons and employees.8 points

Well, it’s been a year and a half since I updated this thread. Ben turned 3 yesterday! He started walking in April and is tearing around, which is totally awesome! He has been crushing his PT/OT/Speech and is really coming along. He’s doing great with his communication, and is starting to talk in a big way, I think partly due to being home with us for the last 3 months and hanging with his big brothers and sister. Things are changing really quickly and he’s figuring out new things daily. We’re so proud of this little guy, and wouldn’t change a thing. Happy to talk if anyone is going through something similar, just DM me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk8 points

Just taking a step back and looking at this "rally" objectively is just WILD from a sociological perspective. It's a full on cult. I know we've had popular presidents in the past, but this is something different. These people are completely deluded and I bet most of them don't even know WHY they are really there, other than to be a part of the spectacle. There is a deadly virus ravaging our population and these people are pretending it doesn't exist just to get a glimpse of this carnival barker and make a social statement.7 points

Rarely are the people who speak the loudest and with the most confidence the ones most educated on a subject. The charity I work with works in conjunction with LHF in Dallas does a lot of great things. We invest in college exam prep courses for inner city students and teach life skill classes on finances and a wide range of other topics. The fact that this is a demand speaks volumes about who wrote these demands and their complete ignorance about what exists today. Unfortunately some of the social media platforms just allow for the constant barrage of the most vocal to be heard even if they are completely unaware of the facts. There is no real rational discussion anymore. That has been replaced with people thinking making quips and mic drop, snarky statements are a way to get your point across. Just read on this thread certain individuals coming in with one-liners about white privilege who offer little, if anything to the discussion. It’s why we should never make big, sweeping decisions based on this emotionally charged banter. It will not lead to anything constructive.7 points
