I am all for being wrong on this one, but I'm pretty fucking skeptical that Hill will be decommitting. I'm sure he won't be, but what I've been typing about on this board since late winter is playing out in almost paint-by-numbers fashion for the aggies in this cycle. Just as it was laid out by folks starting in Dec 20/Jan 21 that the aggies were all-in on killing it with the 2022 class, variables from various corners of CFB-land have been coming in negatively for the aggies in this cycle from the jump. 1) The prior class' financials were poorly planned. Various folks associated to the program also did too much chest-puffing. Guys that signed and didn't get paid got pissed. Guys that got less and heard about it got pissed. Guys on the roster got pissed. 2) Earmarked money for the future suddenly had to be repurposed to stem the negative tide with the players already in the bag for the program and on the roster. 3) A lot of other programs got fucking pissed. Like red hot pissed. There was no coalescence of positioning by the rivals, but all of them are doing their level best to beat the shit out of Fisher with this cycle's class. ATM is being negatively recruited in ways that would make Gary Patterson and Rick Neuheisel blush. 4) Recruits talk to each other, they talk to coaches, they talk to guys who signed, etc. There's no way to keep a lid on buzz these days. 5) NIL went from infancy to adolescence overnight. Meanwhile, ATM and Fisher were openly selling against it as a farce compared to real.bags.dropped. and wound up looking like fools. They're still sitting on their hands and NIL is emerging as the single driving force in recruiting. 6) They went 8-4 and embarrassed themselves with a bowl forfeit. 7) Fisher and the admin walked into the trap with Saban. They're now in a position of trying to act like they've never done a single illicit thing and also playing stupid on NIL. It's bizarre. 8 ) The NCAA has asked uncomfortable questions. It's pretty fucking hard to fake LLC origination dates. Hard to fake anything in the past that was supposed to be legitimate, too. This isn't 1920. The NCAA is virtually dickless, but ATM cares more about perception and keeping up appearances than damned near anything else. Anyway, we could go on, but simply nothing right now is going in ATM's favor and they don't have the endless bags of money that their message board clowns think they do. They basically need a very big winning season. If Hill really is the only big fish in their netting while they're staggering to their typical unimpressive 8-4 season, getting guys like Hicks or Taviano excited to join in will be tougher than it looks right now. Now Owens, he's going to the highest bidder who can also keep his father out of prison, so I can see him winding up at ATM. And think about this - with Adazzio and Fisher manning the OL decisions, they're trending heavily towards what happened on the OL at FSU. We have a legitimate chance to witness some true hilarity in the next few years. They've created absurd expectations for themselves at the national level and you can already see the media turning towards mockery if they don't start winning.41 points

trumpers - joe biden is an old, senile, dementia-riddled fool who wears an ear-piece and has no idea where he is but he’s also a strategic mastermind who has galvanized the deep state and weaponized his justice department to retaliate against his political enemies and must be stopped before he single-handedly wrecks the greatest country of all time. pick a lane, you listless salad forks.25 points

Like all good cult leaders, Trump tells his cult members what makes them feel good inside. You don’t have a job because of foreigners. (In reality, you don’t have a job because my corporate backers ship your job overseas and don’t pay any taxes) You don’t have good medical care because of the poor. (In reality, you don’t have good medical care because big Pharma pays us to vote against capping insulin) You don’t have safe neighborhoods because of immigrants. (In reality, you don’t have safe neighborhoods because if you take away people resources and treat them like animals, they will act like animals)22 points

A&M’s class falling apart is never a bad thing for us. You’ve really become a satya lite lately. Remember when you were convinced A&M was landing Nelson just because they paid for a visit the other weekend?21 points

Raid with no prosecution or indictment before 2022 midterms would be a gigantic mistake, FBI wouldn't have raided MAL without having something that nails djt dead to rights. At minimum they get a plea deal where he is DQd from holding any office. At maximum he should be executed for treason especially if he was leaking to an adversarial country.20 points

What they meant is that if the guy sleeping with hundreds of women every year has AIDS, then you can get it too because odds are high that your girlfriend was one of those hundreds.17 points

So he is a brain-damaged child, but Scott Adams does make a point. There's a sizeable portion of this country that really needs answers as to what's going on. This isn't the John Wiley Price investigation (which, by the way, the Feds completely fucked up). You can't have a big FBI raid, crack a safe, go off with truckloads full of evidence, and then just sit there and do nothing until handing down an indictment two years later. All the MAGAs will freak the fuck out and say the search was over nothing and was just political intimidation. And I think the DOJ knows that. Maybe that is how they would handle a normal political-corruption case. But this isn't a normal case. They need to have an indictment ready to go in short order so that they can go public and explain exactly what Trump did and why a search warrant was proper. Otherwise, this MAGA shit is just going to metastasize.17 points

People keep comparing Trump to Hitler. Hitler knew when he'd lost and killed himself in a bunker. I wish Trump were more like Hitler.17 points

As you know, we can't let the threat of violence stop government function or law enforcement. Nixon was spared prosecution by pardon to spare him further humiliation and to allow the country to move on from Watergate not fear of violence. Trump has employed violence already now largely endorsed by the criminal organization called the GOP. If we stand down in the face of that, we've just found a shamefully passive way to abandon the last shreds of the republic. We can choose to peacefully go on in a fascist honky-run banana republic watching our favorite shows on the TV, or we can pull the rock off this next of scorpions and see if we can survive the stings to restore an actual repubic. Do we risk watering the tree of liberty or tamely choose not to risk our comfortable lives? I don't pretend it's an easy choice. Trump is irreplaceable to his followers. They're not looking to follow DeSantis or any other GOP; they're addicted and enthralled to Donald Trump. If he's broken the law (he has), then bring him down through law enforcement. If some of his followers resort to terrorism (they will), apply law enforcement. If the tens of millions dedicated to Trump rise up for a civil war (they won't) invoke martial law and slaughter them. An indictment won't be the cause of civil turmoil. The actual cause is the traitor Donald Trump who seized the reins of the hate engine and, necessarily, the GOP. Tear. Them. Down.16 points

They have him on tape asking the sec of state of Georgia to “find votes”. This is a federal crime. I’m not why this is hard to understand. You don’t commit crimes no matter what position you hold.16 points

The one thing you need to remember is that the GOP is an unethical, dishonest, and undemocratic party now. SO... UNDERSTAND. that when Dems do something rightful, moral and legal. The Republicans will use the rightful, moral and legal actions by Democrats to justify their own dishonest, immoral and illegal actions. This is where we are. The GOP as a whole is a clear and present danger to American Democracy. That a party I used to be a member of when Reagan was president has morphed into a party based on complete and total dishonesty on most every issue I can think of is horrifying to me. The fact that they actually believe the lies instead of the truth means we have a large mob that can be convinced of anything, regardless of facts. And that should fucking scare the shit out of every American true patrieot in this country.15 points

the feds didn’t even go public with it. people only found out because trump made a statement. biden didn’t say shit, pelosi didn’t say shit. they may not have been in the loop. (reverse the parties and see how that lines up). the feds owe an explanation on the same fucking timeline and schedule as any other high-profile investigation that most certainly took months, not weeks to come together. it’s not like merrick woke up yesterday and just chose violence. yelling about needing an explanation is just more snowflake whining and competitive victimhood. leave them dangling and watch them fucking squirm.15 points

Got it, so we should sit back and let Russia put heads on spikes, establish rape basements, burn POWs alive, toss bodies down wells, loot Ukrainian homes, and send kids to concentration camps. But it’s cynical to arm Ukraine to fight against that to the last man, if they do CHOOSE. What Ukrainians get—and lots of Western observers don’t get— is that they are in an existential fight for their nation, culture, and in many cases their lives. They didn’t get to choose to be in it, but they can choose to fight it.15 points

I get the overall premise of your point but 1) we do not have blue chip athletes at every spot 2) The 2-4-5 IS the 4-2-5. Literally one of the only differences is the defensive ends have some LB responsibilities. Who would we deploy at DE in a 4-3? Ojomo and Sorrell? It’s the same issue we face right now. 3) Ash did not like to recruit and was attached at the hip with Valai, who was a joke. So you keep those two and Hutzler and Drayton and Coleman and that point why are you even making a coaching change? The defense was not all sunshine and roses in 2020. 4) and yes, every coordinator in the history of the world on both sides of the ball run “their schemes”. It’s what got them the job. No coach at any level in any sport is just going to start winging it with stuff they aren’t familiar with/comfortable with. PK ran a ton of 3 man front stuff the second half of last year which is not what he typically does. It didn’t help. Saying he just continually tried the same stuff over and over is not accurate. We had MAJOR weaknesses at all 3 levels. No scheme in the world could cover up for that.14 points
