TCU played well. They deserved to win. They shut down Bijan and made Quinn looked like the True Freshman he is. Sanders dropped catches that were difference makers. Worthy dropped many and he’s pretty much been terrible all year. Recruits are seeing a young team that is right there. They are asking questions about culture and if Texas is right for them. One game won’t make or break their decisions. They saw 104K+ people, camaraderie amongst the players and coaches that care and an atmosphere that was rocking. I remember in 2006 when we had a RS FR QB who lost games and everyone wanted him gone. He even lost his job to Jevan Snead. By 2008 (4th year in an ESTABLISHED program and offense) he was a heisman candidate. I am not saying QE is that but remember this is his 11th month in this system. The defense was excellent. PK is in year 2 with players that were leftovers. Y’all need to relax. Some people are so used to Amazon where you get it immediately that you forget what it means to wait. Like everyone else, I wanted to win. I was pissed at many things last night. We lost to a Top 4 team. This is the first game in November that these guys have played that mattered. It’s a process. Let’s win these next 2 and hopefully K St loses 1 and we can get a rematch to win a trophy.33 points

I will thank Musk for spending $44 billion so that we end up with the verified Ted Cruz parody account that gave us that “I entered my human wife” meme. My wife dragged me to a church she is trying out this morning, I ran into somebody I know, and so introduced my wife as “ this is my human wife” which was followed by the guy looking at me like16 points

A Texas Democrat has to be a lifelong Texan and appeal to a dozen diverse rural areas and conservative ideals. A Texas Republican from Canada by way of Harvard can throw on a cowboy hat, Astros jersey, and hold a fishing rod like a fucking moron, and all is good. Sorry, guys. But it's over.13 points

Dems did a masterful job in the senate elections. We are very likely going to have 51 seats. A plus one result. They took a lot of heat for not supporting Beasley in NC and Ryan in Ohio, but I’m not so sure we would’ve won in Arizona and Nevada if we were spread too thin on the map. Beasley could’ve conceivably won, but McConnell threw a ton of money at Ryan’s race to make sure he lost. Barnes almost pulled it out. Ben wikler is very good at what he does in Wisconsin. There’s a crucial state Supreme Court race up there that we need to win in 2023. Getting the Wisconsin Supreme Court is the only way we could break that egregious gerrymander where Wisconsin republicans lose statewide and still pick up 66% of the seats. We need to end all of the bipartisan redistricting commissions that seem to only exist in blue states. We go easy on the repubs in California and New York while the republicans go in balls deep on us in Ohio, Florida, and nearly everywhere else they control.11 points

Who cares? I said when VY crossed the goaline that I was fine with Texas never being good again as I saw the greatest performance by my team in the greatest game ever played. I didn't realize at the time that I damned our program to mediocrity on that day. For that, I'm sorry. But VY was pretty badass, amiright?11 points

I was walking the dog before heading to the game today and I live in a non-descript Austin neighborhood. After about a block I see a couple guys standing around a parked red mercedes. They look about as cliche Eastern European as you can get. They start staring at me as I approach down the sidewalk. As I passed one of the guys says "Slava Ukraini" and I realize I am wearing a (rather tacky) sweater with "Don't Tread on Me" in Cyrillic against the Ukraine colors. I think I bought it drinking-while-Etsy in the early days. I just responded with a smile and a Slava Ukraini back. What a weird random encounter. I, for one, welcome our new Ukrainian military advisors.10 points

People seem to keep glossing over the fact that Sark has been abysmal against the drop 8, 3 high safety look. We struggle to run and hit the deep ball regardless of who has been at QB. Sark always waits until it's way too late to take any of the underneath routes that are open.9 points

So with this, I just want to say that I do think that Musk is probably on the spectrum but that’s not what’s driving his asshole behavior. Plenty of neurodivergent peopleare aware that they can come off as different and that they don’t always sense “cues” and so work extra hard (even too hard) not to come off as a jerk or rude. You’ll notice some awkwardness but that’s different than rudeness. Being an asshole is a choice Musk and others make. The spectrum might make their rudeness different than your ordinary asshole, but it’s not an excuse or a cause foe their behavior.9 points

I think people are pissed about last night when really tech and ok state are the games to be pissed about. Our other two losses are to legitimate top 10 teams. It sucks that we had a chance to win both and didn't, but those aren't the losses to be stressing in year 2. So, we only have tech/osu quality opponents remaining. We need to prove we're past losing to them. If we do that, I can feel optimistic going into year 3. If we lose either of those, it presents serious doubt we're actually much better this year than last. Following up 5-7 with 8-4 or 9-4 is much different trajectory than following it up with 6-7. All of those outcomes are still on the table and each would put us in a much different place to end the season.9 points

I suspect the early Winter will look more like the late Summer for Ukraine: probing attacks and careful reconnaissance to fully map out the Russian lines and understand exactly where the weak points are located. Enhanced coordinated partisan activity Behind enemy lines. At some point they will launch another offensive, but the Ukrainians have shown they are very good at understanding what they don’t know and filling the information gaps before acting.9 points

And Ewers was not the answer tonight. Ewers may be better than Card most of the time, but Case McCoy was vastly better than Ewers tonight. Dabo replaced his starter for part of one game and that guy brought them back to win. Went back to the starter the next game. Saban put in his reserve to win an MNC vs. Georgia. Sark is just stubborn--and he ain't the answer.8 points
