  1. What are you stupid? No one is talking about the 1st Amendment. What we ARE talking about is personal responsibility. You asked what generation I am from? I am from the generation where we never knew you were supposed to wear helmets to ride bikes. That same generation knew that WORDS got your ass kicked. If you came home and told your dad that you called some kid a(insert racial epithet) and got your ass kicked, he would simply ask you what did you learn. Your parents weren't running up to your school saying, "but words". When I was a kid you didn't turn on tv and see anyone, anywhere saying the hateful shit Charlie Kirk said. You also didn't have the got-damned President of the United States saying divisive shit while addressing the nation. Words have always been the catalyst to violence. Always. Right wing media is saying that Kirk got popped because the left was calling him a Nazi and White Supremacist. Well, the simple solution is don't say White Supremacist/Nazi shit. Kirk said this-"If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified'" That statement IS White Supremacy. He wouldn't wonder if a White pilot is qualified because the pilot is White. Both pilots got their pilot's license from the same place, but because he sees the black pilot as inferior, he would question his qualification. Someone who was not a White Supremacist would say, "Gee, I hope ANY pilot is qualified". Kirk is dead because HE continued spouting rhetoric like this. He could've stopped at any time. It's not our responsibility to not categorize his rhetoric, it's his responsibility to control what comes out of his mouth. We literally use these same principles everywhere else. When we hear a rapper got shot and killed because he wore a bunch of jewelry in the hood what do we say? Opposing sports fan being a douche in the wrong section what do we say? At some point the onus is on you. I am not going to stop calling people White Supremacist when I literally have dudes doing Nazi Salutes at the Inauguration for the President of the United States of America.

  2. What this whole episode has taught me is that there are even more idiots in this country than I had thought. It is embarrassing.

  3. Come eat your crow and admit you are among the class of gullible, easily manipulate, pathetic losers who will believe anything thrown at you to support your preferred narrative. Got taken, yet again, by a lie, because it was the only support you could find. Seriously though, come back, acknowledge it, admit that you got got, yet again. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2025/sep/12/charlie-kirk-shooter-suspect-latest-news-updates-donald-trump-utah?page=with:block-68c47b768f086519d327114d#block-68c47b768f086519d327114d

  4. You people lie with such ease. Do you even know you're lying anymore, or is it just like breathing?

  5. Their entire organization is founded on the principle that the woman should submit to the man dumbass. its YOUR reason not ours. WE think women should lead the world and men should sit down and shut the fuck up. Why? Because under the corrupt eye of MEN the world is burning, it’s less safe than it has been in many decades and opportunity is only for the wealthy. men want power to dominate and control, they want power OVER people and assets. Women want power to do things, like make lives better. I fucking WISH Christian women could be in charge of Christian movements. And the ones that are, guess what? They are accepting, loving and focus on making the lives of poor and marginalized people better. From Mother Theresa to Lottie Moon to your everyday “progressive” church in America that allows women to be head clergy and head pastors (I ain’t talking about head babysitters in the SBC churches). get fucked putting misogyny on us, this is YOUR game, YOUR rules, YOUR bullshit, not ours.

  6. He's a moron. Also, that reminds me. @immamac, @Incredulity engages in retaliatory negs which doesn't actually bother me but you've said in the past is not allowed. He made several absolutely terrible and stupid posts yesterday and I negged some of them. He counted how many and then went back through my posting history to neg the exact same amount. What I propose is not that you ban him because, again, internet rep is stupid. Instead let's just save everyone's time and you can just go in the database and subtract 13,000 rep points from each of us. Deal?

  7. Just in case anyone forgot or didn't know, Charlie Kirk and TPUSA bused HUNDREDS of people to D.C. on January 6th. This guy sent a battalion strength group of hostile people to the nation's capitol to invade our seat of government and try overturning our democratically held elections. These same people were chanting that they wanted to hang the Vice President and they actually built a rudimentary gallows to do the job if they were to get their hands on him. George Washington ordered the execution of motherfuckers for MUCH less than that. This guy was a treasonous shit-stain who made the world a worse place every day he was breathing.

  8. Rather than place the following in the thread for Miller, it might be better served here because the weaponization of not only this event, but the resources and power that will be put to use are going to be staggering if it proceeds. (unless everyone just capitulates which would align with some of history and not align with other history) I've seen scattered chatter about the president's health is accelerating a power struggle between some of the leadership team, Miller, the vp, and others. So, the below might make one consider one's sm accounts as well as other (ahem) accounts (not that citizens aren't already surveilled heavily) including bank accounts (thanks DOGE for grabbing all of that info). Here we go: This has been posted elsewhere but as a reminder... "We are gonna do that." So what is that exactly? Which law will that be that you have broken? Mean tweets? Well, the law is anything they say it is now isn't it? How you vote, for whom you voted, what you've said, to whom you've said or written it, all up for grabs? Jonathan Chait has a piece in The Atlantic about Trump's speech on the assassination of Kirk and I hope I'm attributing the following by political commentator Greg Sargent correctly as he takes Chait's article a step further: This type of repression is being reinforced over and over and over again by others such as Rufo (and doesn't the whole framing by Miller sound similar to the Abbott decree regarding Texas' law regarding women's choice regarding their healthcare decisions?), and so many GOP pols I can't include them all. Pretty crazy times and the pot is boiling already.

  9. 100% the truth except he's not dead for spouting the rhetoric that you're citing. He's dead for rhetoric and actions that put him at odds with lunatics like Nick Fuentes.

  10. Also, just to recap: All Democrat politicians and prominent figures immediately condemn the assassination, mourn Kirk, and urge everyone to do better and be better than this. The right's thought leaders immediately threaten retribution, war, and blood to ALL liberals before a single thing is known about the shooter. The completely unknown suspect becomes the literal personification of their political enemy. They jump on--and podcast--poorly sourced bullshit about Trans messaging. They gave Kirk military honors when the Minnesota lawmakers couldn't even get a phone call. Then they flailed around wildly when the suspect didn't fit the demographic they wanted to push their political payback agenda, appearing more likely to belong to an offshoot of one of their extreme alt-right cesspools than some blue hair. Topped off with the President, in plain words, stating that right wing violence is justifiable because the left must be stopped. "Oh you don't realize what you've unleashed. It's over in 2028." K. And how pathetic is it that you might be right?

  11. I wouldn't throw Lacey into this hot mess. Caldwell is the perfect guy to throw in there. He is experienced and experienced on undertalented teams so our shitty OL shouldn't rattle him. I would go into the SHSU game with a plan, communicated to the QBs that Manning will start and get two drives then Caldwell will go in. After that it's based on who plays better. Two QB systems can suck and as they say if you have two then you don't have one. But guess what? We already don't have one right now.

  12. So, the “story” here is going to turn out pretty simple. Any sliver of evidence that would tie the shooter to “the left?” It will be trotted out, prominently displayed, the subject of a Kash Patel press conference. Any sliver of evidence that would tie him to right wing extremism? Silence. Seriously, if we hear nothing more about his motives? That’s your answer: they have evidence, they’ll just never share it because it doesn’t fit the chosen narrative of the (not even close to objective) entities in charge of the investigation. Kash’s FBI will never, ever let anything come out that would go against the regime’s preferred narrative. Of course, the truth is probably closer to him being another young male who got his brain totally warped by immersing himself in a particularly warped online world, with beliefs that aren’t really beliefs at all and can’t be pigeonholed into easily. In short, another warped, broken-brained nutbar. But the truth is the last thing that matters. The god of the regime must be served.

  13. He's been putting on a show recently. I liked it when he attacked another poster for calling Kirk a propagandist because he didn't understand what propaganda means.

  14. Called it this morning. They were literally told who did it and where he was and to come get him. Me running the FBI by myself would have resulted in his capture in the same amount of time.

  19. Provide me 4 lower deck seats (either side) for even ONE of those games & parking... y'all can use mine. 4 in the family AND I cannot walk long distances as I'm still a bit fucked up from the 2 strikes. We will even tow it downtown. I have PLENTY of properly seasoned Post Oak & have a kit for working the rig (chimney starter, exterior ask pan for the asphalt, shovel, tongs, welding gloves, Milwaukee battery powered blower, large stainless trays for seasoning stuff, grande thick tinfoil, etc.) Would prefer 4 tickets × 3 games (2 kids) however I recognize aggy will be a difficult one & would humbly ask for 2... Me & the wife. BlackLab should still have my digits. LMK as soon as pasta-ble.

  25. Remember kids, all of this, and I mean ALL of it, is a direct result of Republicans using the culture war in an effort to secure votes because their true goal, tax cuts for the rich, isn't a winning campaign message. Everything else is pretext. This is about moving capital upward and keeping it there. The peasantry can fend for itself.

  27. Let's update this a little bit. I graduated high school in 1984, so yeah I'm an old but not that old. In 1983. Year of our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty three, one of, if not the first integrated classes in the state of Mississippi graduated. So, in case anybody missed it, hard core, absolutely undeniable institutional racism was occurring in the US in the 1980s and being forcibly remediated by law. While Texas and Chris Curry were playing for a National Championship. If that's abstract to anyone any longer, hopefully this makes it more concrete. It did for me.
