On Saturday, I was at a bar in Oakland with my wife watching the Texas game and some guy near us was wearing a trump hat. I started taking loudly about reports of trump giving Clinton a bj. About 5 minutes later, the Fuck Donald Trump song started playing. The black guy next to me asked if I played it while indicating he did. I bought him and his girl their next round. MAGA guy covered his hat the rest of the night. /csb https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlIREcAu0PI14 points

Gerry Hamilton Posted 7 minutes ago Most important coaching week for Sark since November of 2021 After an awful fourth quarter and yet another loss to Georgia, Steve Sarkisian now faces his toughest coaching task since November of 2021. Not just his toughest, but easily most important. While that may seem extreme because it was year one, this is a true "culture" test and will be very telling about the future of the program under Sarkisian. Texas lost 30-7 in Ames to Iowa State November 6, and followed up by surrendering 57 points at home to Kansas. There were three other losses wrapped around those two games, but it was Iowa State and Kansas that showed a truly broken culture in the Texas program that Sarkisian and staff had to get out of the locker room. Since that time, the only talk about the "culture" at Texas has been positive through the program build. You guys know I think "culture" is a bit of a catchphrase that is coach speak for the most part. But real talk about a program's "culture" is front and center this week. Because it's about to be tested in a way it hasn't in a while. Texas is atop the underachievers list of teams this season. Whether one agrees or disagrees with the No. 1 pre-season ranking, this team is much more talented than the performances on the field this season. It's been an undisciplined, inconsistent, at times the look of disinterested leading down the path of how much do you truly care in aftermath of the Florida game. I believe this week and Saturday is going to define Sarkisian's tenure moving forward. Texas simply can't lose to a bad Arkansas team. But just as important, the Texas team has to have the appearance that they are pissed off, truly care and are taking the field Saturday to prove a point. Beat Arkansas by a couple of scores, and then beat Texas A&M in Austin six days later. There simply is no other option if Sarkisian want's to keep any of the positive momentum that was built with the program the two seasons prior. As bad as the Georgia game was in the way the loss happened, a loss to Arkansas would be disastrous, period. It would send very difficult questions rippling through the university, fan base, nationally, the NIL agent world and more. And I will depart with this ... a loss to this Arkansas team should be looked at as unacceptable. Absolutely unacceptable. Coach speak is over. Nobody wants to hear it. This week is 100% about accountability, and then performance on Saturday.14 points

I donβt know the alleged rumors, but some food for thought. If sark magically hit the open market tomorrow, heβd instantly become the most attractive / available candidate for every school looking for a coach, over Kiffin. Most of our conference rivals wouldnβt blink at bringing Sark in (again, I donβt know the rumors, but I know the moral corruption and desperation of LSU and Ole Miss) Weβd be hard pressed to find an upgrade. I hope this blows over, we beat A&M, and Sark makes some roster and coaching adjustments next year. This is a young and inexperienced team at crucial positions. Iβm disappointed in the on field results, but we have a solid core and more momentum than any point since 2009.11 points

I donβt think Sark should be fired this year, but this offseason is everything. Weβve seen this before β 2003 with Mack Brown. We lost the Holiday Bowl, lost players, and people doubted the direction. Mack made real changes, and it led to the 2004β2009 run. Sark needs that same moment. He has to look in the mirror β really look β and evaluate everything: β’ his staff β’ his scheme β’ his playcalling β’ whether he has the right people β’ and whether heβs trying to do too much Because right now it feels like too many voices. Too many hands in the kitchen. The DBs play one thing, the front plays another. No cohesion. No identity. And we need to be real about this: Texas Tech, Indiana, Ohio State β they hit the portal right. They didnβt coddle players. They upgraded. And it paid off. Look at A&M β they already had receivers, but they still went and got better ones. And now theyβre a prolific offense. THAT is portal strategy. Meanwhile, we played it safe. We needed RB help and didnβt get any because we were banking on Baxter β a guy who probably played 15β30% of the snaps all season. You canβt be afraid to get better. Yes, I get wanting to develop your guys. I get not wanting everyone to transfer. But it canβt be the WHOLE damn roster you protect. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions. Youβre the head fucking coach. Youβre at Texas. You have money. You have NIL backing. You can get almost any player you want. We shouldβve gone harder after Eric Singleton or Baron Browning. We shouldβve brought in another corner. We shouldβve brought in another OL. We shouldβve added a top WR. We shouldβve grabbed a veteran RB. I know we can do it because Sark has done it! Weβve seen him do it. And imagine David Bailey + Colin Simmons + Burke + Spence in a rotation. But we didnβt want to over spend so we could keep players like Wingo who canβt catch a contested deep ball or Jaylen Gilbeaux who is maybe the worse CB in the power 4. Ohio State did that. We didnβt. Why not? Competition makes teams better. If a portal guy beats out your 5-star GOOD. Thatβs how the best programs are built. But Sark was scared to upset the room. Scared to make players leave. Thatβs not how you win in 2024. Players wonβt hesitate to leave for money so why are we scared to replace them? And on top of that Sark has to stop treating this like the NFL preseason. No hitting. Light practices. No physicality. We play soft because we practice soft. This is college football not OTAs. And I get it Sark probably was scared because he felt like we shouldβve won the championship the season before but injuries happen but fuck you canβt go through life scared. This offseason will tell us EVERYTHING. If we come out next year and weβre still undisciplined, still soft, still getting bullied then something has to change. We have too much talent to get pushed around and Fucking Kirby talking shit on Texas No excuses left.11 points

This team has lacked and continues to lack fundamental aspects of game play. This team has lacked and continues to lack sound player evaluation which is not on 9.95ers but the coaching staff. (Saw a mediocre boxer knock out a nobody) This team lacks and continues to lack game plans that align to the strengths of the players. (No study of the boxer during spars for issues and strengths) This team has lacked and continues to lack player development. (Too much time on weights not enough bag and sparring work) This team has lacked and continues to lack game plans that align to the strength and weakness of the opponents team and strategies. (No jab, no body blows) This team has lacked and continues to lack the ability to put teams away despite substantial leads at various points. (no hook, no uppercut) This team has lacked and continues to lack in game adjustment to specific strategies the opponent has deployed against Texas. (No counter punch) This team has lacked and continues to lack any ownership of errors or accountability. (Blaming judges when there was a KO count off) This isn't just this year, but every year of Sarks tenure. We can raw raw our participation trophies and put them on the wall but choosing to ignore the very clear, continued and ongoing issues in favor of fear of change isn't going to improve things. Sark isn't going to improve either. He's shown what he is and always will be. Are you familiar with the story of the frog and scorpion?10 points

Getting hard data on this is damn near impossible. By definition, 80-90% of the information is coming from Russian sources. The info attributed to Reuters is being parroted by everybody else. Where did Rueter's get the info? My guess is Russia. After reading the article, and half a dozen others, I don't agree with much of what was written By my count, Ukraine has attacked half (15/30) of Russia's 30 largest refineries since Aug 2025, with ~ 76% of the capacity (~4.5 MMBpd) targeted. 13 of those targeted, mentioned specific process units were targeted and/or damaged. The video's of explosions and fires indicate there was significant damage at those facilities. Massive explosions and fires at US refineries are few and far between. The explosions and fires in Russia since August have been massive. I have not seen any factual info on the aftermath of these attacks, but I have a pretty good idea that it is anything but business as usual. Here are a few photo's of various fires at US refineries, none of which were bombed or hit by missiles: . I know Russia doesn't have to deal with unions, or OSHA, or personal injury lawyers, but any repairs would take a considerable amount of time, even without the sanctions. I would have more faith in a Russian commercial airliner than any repairs made to a Russian refinery in the past 2 years. Russia's refining capacity was ~ 6,600,000 barrels/day (6.6 MMBPD), and in 2024 had in operating rate of ~ 6 MMBPD in 2024. Russia's internal demand for petroleum products in 2024 was ~ 4 MBPD, or 67% of the refining output. In the last 2 months, Russian demand has exceeded the output. Russia reduced, and then stopped petroleum product exports in the last 2-3 months, and has been rationing gasoline and diesel since then. That is a combination of reduced refining operations, logistics, and internal demand. I'm guessing the internal demand has dropped in the last 2 years, which makes the numbers worse. But you don't stop one of the few sources of hard currency unless you have to, and Russia stopped exporting refined products. That is not indicative of a drop of 3 or 4%. And as you are all aware, refined products cost a lot more than the crude oil they are made from. They would still be running if they could.8 points
