And Cowboys.  Sweet

Way to hold on defense. Yikes... just like the Horns... Texans can’t get off the field on 3rd and long.

OLine played really, really well in pass pro today....big win!

Why the fuck is Tytus Howard playing RT and Scharping LG when they NEVER played those positions before. It’s like this coaching staff is purposefully trying to make this OL have the opportunity to make more mental errors than any unit in the league. Buttchin runs another WR screen that has gotten nothing all season long. I fucking hate him.

I'm pretty sure that Howard played RT at least one year in college as they had a left handed QB so he was protecting the blind side.  At any rate, it was nice to see Watson have some time and not lose any limbs yesterday.  If this line can stay healthy, it may have a chance and get more than just decent.  And I have been absolutely shocked at Carlos Hyde.  I did not expect much when they signed him, but he's been terrific.

Nice win, but I still hate Bill.  That is not changing.

The line looked really good yesterday and San Diego has talented pass rushers.

Our TEs had a huge day and that was nice to see. This offense is always better when our TE are playing a big part.

This team isn’t great but they’re not awful either. They are 13-3 in their last 16 regular season games.

So the Brian Gaine drafts haven't been complete shit shows.

3rd, Reid - probably the best DB on the team

3rd, Rankin - bust

3rd, Akins - solid contributor

4th, Coutee - solid contributor when healthy

6th, Ejiofor - solid contributor when healthy

6th, Thomas - solid contributor when healthy

6th, Kalambayi - still on the team, likely a ST player.

7th, Kelly - no longer on the team

1st, Howard - starting RT now

2nd, Johnson - 3rd CB playing well

2nd, Scharping - starting LG now

3rd, Warring - IR

5th, Omenihu, starting DE

6th, Crawford, ST player

7th, Gillaspia, starting FB, ST player

I also have to Watson loves to hold onto the ball and take bad sacks. While the OL is not good right now, a good number of all the sacks Watson takes are on him holding the ball.

DW also turns some of those plays where he should have thrown it away into something positive. I’m not sure where it nets out, but you shouldn’t only consider the negative plays, IMO.

I don't change a thing about him.  Watson is one of the best playmakers at the QB position in the NFL without a doubt.  If the O-line can play like they did yesterday consistently, the Texans easily win the division.  The problem is that until Brady retires, they will never get a first round bye.  Brady plays in the worst division in football and pretty much gets at least 5 free wins each year.  Granted, they also play a first place schedule every year, but they will be 12-4 at least.  KC gets the other bye just because they are unstoppable.  The only thing that can derail them in the regular season is injuries.  The Texans win a home playoff game, but then have to go on the road to KC or NE.  I'm not sure Watson is good enough to overcome Belichick's coaching or KC's overwhelming offensive talent.  Whatever happens, he's going to make it fun to watch.

I wasn't being negative about Watson, he's a Top 5-6 QB in the NFL, just pointing out that the OL isn't abysmal as the sack numbers would indicate. Akins 2nd TD was because Watson made a play.

I’m absolutely full homo for Watson. I think he is everything you would ever want in a franchise QB from on the field play, to the locker room, and to off the field persona. I hope somehow the stars align for him to get to a Super Bowl one day, I just don’t think it will happen until Brady retires.

He’s also gonna have to deal with Mahomes the next 10 yrs. But yeah, love Watson

the only thing Watson needs is to know he can't hold the ball for 4 secs so often...

I can accept it because he makes plays, but it's going to cost a game a year in either a mistake (sack fumble/int) or an injury...

but he makes plays

Duuuuuuuuuuuke

Need TDs not FGs

The Defense is not missing Clowney. Whitney is back in his natural habitat and putting in effort on every play. Not just when he feels like it.

Chin may have lucked up on not paying Clowney.

Horrible

Also looks like Stills pulled a hammy.

Get the lead first then do trick plays.

Really pissed about that stupid trick play. Buttchin has a history of doing garbage like that. Remember Watt as a RB in goal line in the playoff game 4 years ago.

Fucking asinine trick play garbage.

And if I didn't know better, I'd think this entire offensive line has an incentive bonus if Deshaun Watson literally dies on the field.

No no. He’s elite! That’s what Clint Stoerner and the rest of Houston sports talk tells me everyday.

Did that buttchin sumbitch actually say the defense needs to play better? Man, got 2 first half turnovers and did shit with them. His dumbass play call got Carolina their touchdown. What more does he want. I guess the defense needs to score, their own tds.

Holy shit, JJ!  Add another one to the career highlight reel.

Let’s get a go ahead TD here. Use the middle of the field with Coutee and our TEs buttchin.

Ugh, these long preseasons seem to never end.

What’s that? This is an actual game? One that counts?

Another terrible challenge by buttchin

should have challenged the face mask that didn't get called...

ok, 7 minutes left and we aren't throwing to our best weapon on offense....can we please, for the LOVE OF GOD, throw to Hopkins maybe??

I'd like to challenge his contract.  Maybe one of the lawyers slipped up and we can void it.
