Wait how is that generating electricity?

TRUMP WANTS A “TRANSPARENT” BORDER WALL TO PREVENT INJURIES FROM FALLING “SACKS OF DRUGS”

That way when cartels “throw the large sacks of drugs over,” Trump says, agents can see them.

Dotard - “As horrible as it sounds, when they throw the large sacks of drugs over, and if you have people on the other side of the wall, you don’t see them—they hit you on the head with 60 pounds of stuff? It’s over,”

I actually think it's really important for people who want Trump out and hate everything he stands for to simply accept that those who voted for him had a reason.   And two years has gone by so there is no point in focusing on that decision.  We've had a whole election cycle since then.

I think it makes us look more credible to people who sat the election out or who could support anti-Trump candidates.  Because it makes us more about policies and less about old grudges.

Just remember, the key to Trump’s removal is for his approval numbers to tank (like sub 25%).

It will not be difficult to find 20 GOP senators to convict when it’s politically advantageous for them to do so.

A tanking stock market, mass resignations, indictments,  a madman foreign policy, public congressional hearings, Mueller report, and rising consumer costs due to tariffs should get this ball rolling in quarter one of 2019.

This (former) servicemember and father of current ones( ultimate skin in the game) feels the same way.

I know there are quite on few on here who felt people could never hate Trump enough, but i was neutral on him.  i have never respected Trump, the man.  I wass somewhat  optimistic when he surrounded himself with a pretty freaking capable cabinet, before he ran them all off; that their abilities would trump Trump, if you will. he deleveraged the value and leadership I was counting on.  he wasn't trying to learn on the job.  He's just a bull in a china closet.

I posted it last night and I'll say it again-  Mattis is a badass motherfucker who is very, very highly respected.  His resignation/ retirement was the biggest statement he could make about our President without killing the man at his own hands.

Outta rep.  To anyone currently serving, I don’t know what to say.  I guess that it saddens me that your service and sacrifices are being given at a time where your civilian leadership is not worthy of it.

There’s another category of people to be pissed at: those who dislike Trump and believe he is an awful president, but who nevertheless vote for those who support him in Congress and the state governments because of party-over-country.  Fuck that shit.  You have a chance to help defeat the most serious threat our nation has faced since WWII, but can’t be bothered to look past superficial allegiances.

Not good enough.

The enemy of "resolved (sort of)" is "wavering".

I know that will be the sentiment on Surly.

I would support virtually any GOP candidate this side of Art Briles over Trump.

Better?

and that fucking wall ain't stopping anyone.

It'll be a colossal waste of capital, while Lupe and Jesus have an improvised plan of entry( probably with shovels or donkeys) within hours of completion on the wall.

the reason this spoof is funny, is because mofos ain't stopping at physical barriers.

The politics of his campaign were not necessarily the worst.

I hate the either/or dichotomy.  It's not like anyone can say, "Told ya so" regarding HRC.

His politics right now are pure shit.

He has no politics. He’s about himself above everything else, especially country, and his actions speak that in spades. Who said anything about politics?

This, for the fucking 1000th time.

Trump is nothing but a black hole of narcissism.  And thinking that you can use him for your purposes results only in you being sucked into and destroyed by the black hole.  He is not a political animal.  His is an infantile id that managed to manipulate a political process to feed itself, nothing more.

You know, there's nothing in the Constitution preventing an impeached and convicted 1st-term POTUS from running for reelection.

I guarantee that, on the (mighty) slim chance the Republicans grew a spine and found 67 votes in the Senate, you'd be hearing this on the airwaves within hours, if not well before that.

That's not entirely true.  According to the Constitution, Senators can forbid impeached and convicted from holding public office again.  Of course it is for them to decide.

Most definitely wavering.
Mattis' opinion on things means a lot to me.
I've stated openly I don't care for Trump, the man.  He's running off all of his quality control, so yeah, it's looking worser by the hour.

Don't be expecting me to suddenly embrace the Left's wack politics either though...right out of the frying pan into the fire.

This is exactly why he’ll get re-elected. There are enough trump loyalists (90% of the R party) that he’ll easily win the primary over anyone who claims to be “wavering” on trump loyalty. But anyone left of Ted Cruz is “wacky” leftist librul crazy. The GOP will run a few adds throwing around the “socialism” word and preachers will cry “baby killers” at the pulpit. Then slorchy and the supposedly “wavering” class will happily vote for the cheeto god as “the lesser of two evil” cause anyone with a D by there name is leftist socialist evil. Mushroom dick chaos is preferable than any of that “wacky” leftist snowflake stuff like healthcare and education. This is America.

Right, but it's not expressly forbidden.  The Senate would literally have to state that claim at the conclusion of the trial for the mouthbreathers to be silenced.

Yes and no.

It ain't Mattis and a bunch of lieutenants.  There's still plenty of capable leadership in our military, like Mark Milley, another Grade AA badass who was just appointed as Chief of Staff of the Army.

It's not like Mattis was some outlier.  The next guys/ gals up  ain't gonna necessarily bend the knee and kiss the ring and sacrifice their charges.  Trump isn't going to necessarily get any relief on this front is what I'm saying.   They know their jobs and Trump doesn't necessarily know jack shit about it.  he needs to listen WAAAAY fucking more.

CSB- the night before son's graduation, Milley addressed us parents and the Cadets in a banquet.  As he entered the room, everyone got quiet( not sure out of respect or fear...LOLz) he walks through among the tables towards the center of the room and without a mike, loud enough for 3000 people to hear,  exclaims, " What the hell is going on here.  I thought this was a party!!!" Laughter and Huahs erupted.

The next day I got to hear Mattis give the commencement address.  Originally captain Cheeto had committed to do it, and I was was pretty excited, because regardless of politics, it was the freaking POTUS.   When I heard they were sending the ole Jarhead, i was still excited.  After he gave the address, I wanted to run through walls, and I'm old as fuck.

It was a hellova 24 hours, with regard to history now.

This.  All day long.

There are only two groups of people in this country, per this messaging:

1) loyal Republicans who love America, who love Trump

2) anyone who doesn't love Trump is a socialist communist muslim terrorist-loving America-hating libtard

ANYONE who opposes Trump, no matter what their actual beliefs, is in group 2), and you don't want socialist communist muslim terrorist-loving America-hating libtards running America, do you?  NO WAY!  You LOVE AMERICA, so you STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP!

It is that simple and binary.  There is no room for anything else.  The RNC completely merging with the Trump campaign organization out front shoulda told ya.  The RNC running attack ads AGAINST Republican officials who aren't bowing to Trump out front shoulda told ya.  Be loyal to Trump.  Or be the enemy of all that is good and right in America, and who thus must be defeated.

Those Americans aren't enough to get him re-elected. His base won't get him there.

The odds that trump wins the next presidency in 2 years should be lower than the odds he’s holed up in a Russian embassy.
He isn’t winning again unless the dems totally fuck it up, so I guess it is possible then.

If dems win they’ll appoint marxists to the Supreme Court who will allow death panels to kill unborn babies. How can you vote for that immorality? Trump ain’t perfect but he’s better than that bitch Pocahontas.

That’s how he wins. The best most well executed democrat campaign can’t get past Fox News socialism and caravan scares. And Supreme Court nominations will sway the supposed “waiverers.”

And the MAGAidiots are some passionate motherfuckers.

Never bet against stupid and evil.  The track record of success is too stout to ignore.

We're never going to agree on this. Even if they turn out, their numbers won't get him re-elected. He can't win without independents and Democrats.

I think that is where i differ from some folks.

I can vote for someone whose politics identify more closely with mine( not exactly, for sure, but closer than HRC at the time) that I don't like as a person.

I want the results, not a relationship.

That the house and senate had all year to come up with a budget deal and waiting until the very last second to do it again.  Same shit they did with Bush and Obama.  If they did their job, the presidency wouldn't be as important.

The system is so broken that these congressmen spend approximately 40 to 70 percent of their time solely on fund raising for their next re-election bid. They live just to kiss rich ass and do rich assholes bidding so they don't get out spent and beaten out next time. They don't govern anything anymore.

That idiot Ted Cruz is doing the same thing now that he did 4 years ago... Spend all his time working on trying to get himself elected president. The next thing he does for the interest of Texans would be his first, and many of these fucks are just like him.

Thirty year smear campaign has successfully turned any centrist D into Marxist evil lib. Then the preacher says any pro choice candidate is literally evil. There is no independent group who would vote d these days. Rs have the base and the “lesser of two evils” voters. Ds have only their base. Add in electoral college that broadly favors red states, Cheeto wins again.
