I don’t mean to ruin the fun, but he was clearly walking/jogging in and out of the locker room with a lower back injury. It literally looks like you need to take a 5ft long poop.

Don’t ask me how I know.

not to mention cleats on a slick surface like that. Even without a back injury to slow you down to be more cautious, I've slipped and damn near broke my ass on the ground after cleats went out from under me.
it would be a funny narrative to the whole thing but I very much doubt it was poo poo time versus an actual IV after being in bed for days with a fever and aches sounds about right for a pro athlete running for 100 yards

Also, do we need to make a thread about how we need to start taking the browns more seriously? If Baker is playing well (and he has been lately) nobody outside of KC wants to fuck with this team in a win or go home game. For all intents and purposes the raven’s season was over if they lost this game. They were the desperate team tonight, so it makes sense they won a close game. But it seems like Cleveland is really good.

Was wondering if someone could answer this because I’ve seen this a few times and never understood it. Ravens lined up, spiked it, Lamar looked for what to do-ran off, then tucker was only starting to get lined up with about 11 seconds on the play clock. It did not look like they were going to get it off but right when he did the “pump” signal, the play clock reset to 25. Why would the play clock reset in that situation? I feel like I’ve seen a few times where the kicker is rushed and barely gets the kick off or then sometimes they reset the play clock, which seemingly makes it easier. Seems to kind of take away from the pressure of clocking it, switching units and making the kick in 30ish seconds. In this instance I’m glad but maybe someone knows the rule???

No

The moment anyone says the browns are good. They aren't. They are going to implode. It might not be until their playoff game. But it will happen.

I prefer my sooner tears at max density.

(aka yeah they actually are good and they run the ball like motherfuckers. Fuck talking about it though. It's the browns. Their job is to be sad)

Correct.

With Baker playing like this the offense is elite.

Just need to overhaul the defense (which starts like 7 guys who shouldn’t on a good defense) in the offseason and the Browns are SB contenders.

If I’m Andrew Berry, my offseason list is:

1) Trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick to NE for Stephon Gillmore

2) Sign Von Miller and/or Bud Dupree as FAs.

3) Spend damn near all of the Draft capital on defense; the Browns have an extra 3rd and extra 4th rounder.

Goddamn, Justin Tucker is a fucking assassin.

Forget position, that dude is a fucking Steely Eyed Missle Man!!!

Didn’t really have any skin in the game either way, but I was quite ecstatic for Justin’s kick. Was a big moment (among many others) for him and he nailed it.

If Baker is on,they are dangerous. He has played great the last 2 games against 2 legit teams. But when you get terrible Baker, they have no real chance. And he is still erratic enough to never know what you are going to get. He is pretty damn good on the playaction. I think their defense will be their undoing. They almost blew the 38-7 lead last week.

In the AFC, after KC, I think any team can beat anyone. But don't see any of them beating Mahomes this year. Even when throwing 3 picks, taking a 30yd sack, they still score in the 40s and win with ease. Almost unfair.

It seems like when he’s playing in decent weather and he isn’t worried about forcing the ball to OBJ, he’s an above average starting qb. Definitely good enough to win with. I don’t think that’s really saying much because a lot of qbs would be really good if you could play action off of that running game, but still. I think out of every team in the NFC (including Pittsburgh right now with their injuries) I think Cleveland is the last team I would want to face right now outside of KC. Pittsburgh’s defense is shot right now and that offense is trash. I think Cleveland is the better team right now.

Yeah, if I put together an ordered list of every team in the NFC I would want to face, Cleveland wouldn't even be on it.

Well I guess it’s a good thing I said AFC now isn’t it. The NFC has 3 sure fire hall of fame qbs, two of which are having as good of a season as they’ve ever had. Outside of KC, who is playing better than Cleveland right now?

As for NFC teams, outside of Green Bay, New Orleans, and LA Rams, I don’t think there’s another team I’d take over them right now. Not with their running game and play action they have working right now.

edit: just now seeing I said NFC in that post. Oops. I meant AFC obviously. I’m over here like why the fuck would he compare them to NFC teams lol.

I'm a diehard Browns fan....that was a tough one to shallow last night. I'm proud of the Browns we played a GREAT game. But I have 3 points that I take away from the game.

1. The final drive for the Browns was TOO FAST. I was screaming at the TV for them to slow down. I knew we were going to score but we needed to take more time off of the clock. Giving the Ravens over a minute was way too much time. Especially since we had a hard time stopping their all -pro kick returner (more on that later). Our offense is a fresh breath of air after cheering for them for so many years. Being down 15 in the 4th and with Baker throwing a stupid INT, seeing us come back with ease was awesome to see. I am finally proud to say that I am a Browns fan and I am wearing my Chubb jersey today with pride.

2. Lamar Jackson...as I mentioned above I look at him as nothing but a glorified kick returner. He sucks as a QB, I thought he sucked at Louisville, he only won the Heisman because he was a running QB (i.e., Manziel and Tebow). He can't throw to the sidelines. If you watch him he can only throw in between the hashes. And when he can't throw between the hashes he tucks and runs like a kick returner. You cannot tell me that he is an elite QB. He is an elite runner but not a QB.

3. I feel that we are going to be a tough team in the playoffs. We have 2 shitty NY teams then we play the Steelers again so we could easily be 12-4 or 11-5. I am looking forward to seeing us in the playoffs!

I’ll give you that one. I think they’re a better team than the bills, but I’m not going to argue that one. I think it’s pretty close. That’s the only other team I can think of. Point being, I wouldn’t shock me if they found a way to the AFC championship. I don’t think they will, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all. Stefanski (sp?) is legit. The browns finally have an adult in the room that knows what the fuck they’re doing and they have a ton of talent. I’ve been really impressed by them over the last few weeks.

https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/30525720/last-play-safety-baltimore-ravens-cleveland-browns-game-swings-millions-sportsbooks

One bettor's bad beat is another's fortunate win. The last play of the Monday night thriller between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns produced both.

A desperation, multi-lateral play by the Browns as time expired resulted in a safety for the Ravens that covered the spread and swung millions of dollars in bets at sportsbooks around the nation.

Quote

The Ravens opened as 1-point favorites early last week at most sportsbooks. The line grew throughout the week and was up to Baltimore -3 by Friday and even reached -3.5 at some sportsbooks in the hours leading up to Monday's kickoff.

"In the last two hours, we took significant money on the Browns, when we went to 3.5," Jason Scott, vice president of trading for BetMGM, told ESPN.

Quote

Despite the flurry of late money on Cleveland, Scott said his book ended up needing the Browns to cover the spread, primarily due to parlay liability on the Ravens.

"We wish it wouldn't have happened," Scott said of the safety on the final play. "We were a little worse on the Ravens, but it wasn't significant."

The betting action on the game was relatively balanced and produced mixed results for sportsbooks. Several sportsbooks ended up with slightly more money on Cleveland prior to kickoff, but there was plenty of support for the Ravens.

Quote

Bookmaker William Hill U.S. reported taking a $126,000 bet on Baltimore -3, which went from a push to a six-figure payday on the safety on the final play. FanDuel sportsbook director John Sheeran said that, including in-game wagering, the Ravens covering the spread was costly for his shop.

"Pretty big swing. I'd classify it in the seven-figure range," Sheeran said. "Pretty expensive one, but I think bettors were due one given the way the season's gone."

The money at sportsbook PointsBet was more lopsided on the Browns, with 78% of the point-spread handle backing Cleveland. PointsBet communications director Patrick Eichner said the Ravens winning by five instead of three produced "one of the biggest swings of the season" in favor of the book.
