He lost to Day by one score twice. The SEC CG last year went into overtime. I think he’s capable of beating both those guys

Well I guess we'll find out next year for Day unless the mutual parting of ways occurs. I think he's Mack against Stoops when it comes to Kirby. He'll need a VY type to do it. We struggled against both Clemson and Arizona State last year when we were clearly superior to both. He hardly ever exhibits the killer instinct that's needed outside of OU.

1) Please provide a post, any post in this forum, where I have at any point claimed to know any inside information at all. A single post where I've claimed to know insiders. A single post where I've stated anything about any occurance within the Texas program regarding off field behavior by our coach, his wife or anyone.

2) Rather than answering questions that were just posted in an attempt to incorrectly call me out for having knowledge I've never in any post claimed to have I will instead run through the facts as we know them.

(TLDR - Nobody will read any of this information. It will be mocked and no serious conversation will occur regarding it. Most Surly posters hate facts and logic. Prove me wrong.)

Facts that have been established. - I know shit about fuck. I have speculated that I feel Sark should be fired based on the facts below. I have speculated it is a possiblity. I have also noted that it's very possible Sark will return.

1) According to Bobby Burton Sark missed junior day. He was told it was the flu. This has been documented in this thread. Burton is not the only source, others can be provided as needed.

2) Shortly thereafter some coaching changes were made, specifically in the secondary coaching. (Not fact - Some question the choices and that disagreement is supported by futher facts below)

3) It was announced in Feb that Steve Sarkians would forgo Spring Game and altered the method to an OTA more similar to NFL style giving the players the majority of the month of May off.

4) In the off season Sark did not pull in any additional talent via portal in the off season at offensive line, running back, or secondary.

5) The following are results of the team from point 2, 3 and 4 with notation to (relevant fact number). All following Data is per CFBStats

Offense Rankings:

Total offense: #80 (4)

Scoring offense: #64 (4)

Rusing Offense: #103 (4)

Passing Offense #50 (4)

Sacks Allowed: #86 (4)

Tackles for Loss Allowed: #106 (4)

First Downs: #108 (4)

Time of Possesion: #97 (4)

Red Zone Conversions: #85

Third Down Conversions: #82

Of note: Arch Manning's #40 ranking in Passing All Games is the highest single stat of the entire Texas offense kept by CFBStats that I found. Please feel free to double check.

Penalties: #119 (?)

Defense Rankings:

Total Defense: #23 (2)

Rushing Defense: #6 (Possible counter point to #2)

Passing Defense #91 (2, 4)

Interceptions: #32 (Possible counter point to #2. Of note: 20% of production was from linebacker)

Passes Defended: #62 (2, 4)

Penalties: #119 (?)

6) It was report on August 10, 2024 that Steve Sarkisian and Loreal had filed for jointly for divorce. This was fact confirmed by Steve Sarkisian

7) On April 4, 2025 Steve Sarkisian and his wife announced BOTH that they were getting back together and having a child, together.

8 ) Not fact but occurance  - Post the Florida Loss rumors were circulated about the paternity of said child - I have no source to sight. I did not origionally post these rumors. I have not resposed these rumor. I have in no way stated those rumors are true.

9) On Oct 25th, 2025, the morning before the Texas game vs MSU, Dianna Russini reported that Steve Sarkisian's agents had reached out to the Titan's expressing interest in the NFL.

10) Later in the day on Oct 25, 2025 Sarkian's agents responded to # 9 by saying: "Any reports regarding communications on coaching opportunities with NFL teams are patently false and wildly inaccurate. Sark is solely focused on coaching the University of Texas football team,"

10) On Nov 17th, 2025 Desmond Howard made a cryptic IG post that Texas and Steve Sarkisian. Stating: "His misses his twins. He was also thinking, "Don't be suprised if that Texas job opens up at the end of the season. I'm not saying anyone is gonna get fired. There may be a mutual parting of ways. You dig?"

Those are the facts.

Now my opinions and observations

1) I find it very amusing that the majority of the folks who defend Sark's performace while at Texas by pointing out back to back CFPs flip the course and say you can't expect "National Championships every year" . On the other hand refer the the historical failures of Texas as the expectations we should continue to have. This despite the fact that it is clear Texas is among the tops in NIL funding and competitors both blue blood and not are meeting the expectations of fans.

2) I am amused and impressed that so many people are convinced their opinion or thoughts on a topic are actually facts. Then when called on that reality, move goal posts to meet their own fictional reality.

3) Based purely on the data above for this year, and the yes the HISTORICAL performance of Sarkisian he should be fired. I base this opinion on:

A) Continued issues with under performance by QBs with a note that the performance issues are directly caused by play calling choices.

B) A overall continued underperformance by offensive line. Also, in my opinion, caused by unnessecarily complex blocking schemes.

C) An unwillingness or inability to properly evaluate HS prospects.

D) An unwillingness or inablity to properly develop offensive players. Most noteably at QB and OL.

E) An unwillingess or inability to recognize certain issues in talent at positions and making required moves in portal to address them. Most noteably OL, RB and WR.

F) An unwillingness or inability to both craft and consistently deploy an offensive stragey that aligns to the skill sets and strengths of the players available.

G) An unwillingness  or inability to both plan for and make in game adjustment to the Texas offensive strategy to the best overcome the both the strengths and weakness of the opposing defensive players and defensive strategies we face.

H) Continued and career long issues in red zone scoring efficency

I) Continued and career long issues with 3rd down conversion percentage. This is due to poor scheme and play calling on 1st and 2nd down

J) Continues issues with both rushing yards per game and time of possesion. These are obviously tied.

K) A career long clear inability to put games beyond reach in the 3rd and 4th quarter. With the exception of terrible non-P4 competition this has been and remains a massive issue for Sark. I use an easy example of UTEP this year. (2024 - Vandy and Arkanas) (2023 - Houston and TCU)(2022 - WVU, ISU, Baylor)

L) A consistent inability to win critical games against top opponents. (Washington, Georgia 1, 2, 3/OSU 1, 2)

M) Pentalities, consistently, lots of them, lots and lots of them. All the time. Delay of game on YOU for not reading that faster. Pretty sure we just false started, no? Oh it was a hold.

N) - DId you bother reading the offensive numbers in fact section 5. There is zero defense to having zero offensive stats above #40 for Texas 10 games into the season.  Ever.

4) There is a lot of smoke going on. I don't claim to know who is fanning the flames. I don't claim to know their motivation. What I do know, is that someone is fanning flames. Of that I'm certain and I don't see how anyone else can doubt that reality. Now, what people continue to avoid asking is why someone fanning the flames? Who benefits? What is their desired result?

5) I suspect that a plan was hatched a while back to get Sark out of Texas. I think the wheels were put in motion likely prior to summer. That said, I think it was intended to be fully activated until the triggering events. I think conversations have been going on for a while in the back rooms about his replacement.

6) #5 is absolute and pure guesses. I have zero facts to support that other than the team performance above in facts.

7) I don't think what happens in the Arkansas or aggie game will have any effect positive or negative on the ultimate outcome of what will transpire regarding our coach. I think the cake is already baked and the powers that be are waiting for the next triggering event.

8 ) I openly acknoldege and want my last point to be clear. It is entirely possible I'm seeing something that is not what I perceive.  That I am completely delusional. It is entirely possible Sark will return next year. I do not think my perception is reality. What is not incorrect is what a horrible job our HC has done this year. The data is indisputable.

I very much appreciate your edit.

Because now I know all the shit that I didn’t read is more correct

Wtf? I checked this thread a day ago and 12 pages have been added. As far as I can tell there hasn’t been any new information? Sexton and Sark didn’t rep Howard’s post. That’s impossible.

That’s correct.

It’s piss — I mean, shit posting.

edit: except for @BurntEyes post that no one will read. That was shockingly well crafted

Sark is a meathead regard and bad things have been happening in his personal life that have been swept under the rug, but now that Texas is not doing great people are taking out all the furniture and shaking out the rugs, and there may be some stuff under the rug.

Is there any Green Tea shots under the rug? I need several.  TIA

No one's acting like L'Oreal's stuff is being force fed at all, but nice attempted straw man.

She makes the IG post, people see it and repost the content in different ways on different  social media outlets and we (the Royal "We") stumble across it in those places.  You acting like that isn't reality is what is comical.   You pretending that is the equivalent of people making choices to log into and follow her on IG is, at best, equally comical and, at worst, sadly disingenuous.

Your inability to grasp those facts and repeatedly taking the long road around doing so is actually quite entertaining, however.

So, thanks for that.

If I was able to avoid it without trying I just don’t understand why it’s so difficult for some of you. Pardon me for my ignorance.

To be fair he also struggled vs msu and Kentucky (twice)

This is what I can't grasp on whole. Sark, and other coaches, are supposed to be excellent offensive/defensive type minds, and know all this shit about football. Yet many fail to see the forest for the trees.

If Sark were truly an offensive genius, wouldn't he be able to comprehend shit that average Joe's and Jill's understand? The whole square peg round hole thing. You'd think he'd be bright enough to scheme to what his players can do, not what grand plan he had dreamed up. Fall camp should have shown him exactly what he was working with. He would have known more if they had a spring game or better spring camp.

So now we get his grand scheme shoved down our throats for consumption, whether we like it or not. We've seen with our own eyes what can happen if he does that (ou), but he keeps insisting on going with shit that's such over-complicated asswater that the players can't get a damn thing going and look like fucking clown shoes.

So what gives? It's not just Sark, others have had similar issues.

Is it ego? Meathead shit? What keeps a coach that you would think should see the obvious from actually seeing the obvious?

Looking back from the first of the year, it's like he's trying to get fired or some shit. It's plain reckless how the off-season has been handled, let alone in-season.

Looking back from the first of the year, it's like he's trying to get fired or some shit. It's plain reckless how the off-season has been handled, let alone in-season.

The best goalie I ever played with or against would drink a 4loko before highschool games. So, checkmate.

The same Atlanta Falcons team that fired him?

Uhhh okay

I see you're not familiar with the Atlanta Falcons.

He is capable of beating them but only if he recruits a VY type transcendent player that overcomes all his deficiencies like Cam did for Chizik or Jameis did for Jimbo.

people dog on mack, but let's realize that with that current 12 team playoff, most of mack's would have easily made it.

he was owning everyone not named stoops

He lost to Day by one score twice. The SEC CG last year went into overtime. I think he’s capable of beating both those guys

I still wear my We Almost Beat Saban National Runner-Up sweatshirt.

True, and '04 and '08 would have a good shot.

How many of Mack’s teams were top 8-10 before the bowl games?

Sark ain't gonna get pushed out (yet) for on-field results, nor should he. The only reason UT would part ways is if there really are personal issues that are intolerable and/or getting in the way of him doing his job.

Personal stuff notwithstanding, he'd have a pretty clear path to righting the ship just by going back to what he's done the last two years (like a normal offseason practice schedule), hitting the portal (OLs plz), and replacing a few assistants (ie the new secondary coaches). He has proven an ability to do all that in the past. This offseason was the outlier so you'd be crazy to push him out unless there is some very specific stuff behind the scenes.

To be clear, I don't know anything beyond what I've read here. It just otherwise wouldn't make sense to give up that fast after one botched offseason considering how good he looked the past two years.

all of this is immense fun but the whole ‘extension after his alleged month-long bender’ kinda rains on the parade.  that is one of the few factual data points in this whole mess and it just doesn’t align with all the rest of this salacious gossip.  but I’m having a great time.

I DM’ed and asked about the rumors. 90% of it sounded like a Jason Higdon recruiting scoop.

The 10% of it that is believable / true is not some incredibly damning bombshell, and most of us have already heard that rumor (re. some of our ex WR’s)

Desmond Howard may be right, and Sark may bolt for the NFL. If he does, it’s because he’s sick of college, not because he needs a life line.

If some bombshell report comes out, I’ll eat shit. But again, 90% of the rumors are typical rival message board BS.

I’ll continue to hope coach stays around another year to coach the team he’s built. He may not be Day or Kirby, but he’s better than most.
