Sanity has been restored in the universe. Sark in the second half was way better than Elko. While I’m still frustrated with Sark for not getting the full value out of his talent this year, I thought I was taking crazy pills seeing Elko in the first half look better than Sark. Elko is a decent DC, but he just can’t be as good as A&M’a record this year. They had a sneaky easy schedule.

It wasn’t sneaky. They played exactly 1 team in the top half of the SEC and lost by 10.

It seems like we had a whole script coming out the second half too

Everyone sees that. I’m talking about things like playing Missouri without their QB, the fact that ND is over-rated, etc.

Look if Aggy had been ranked correctly (they weren’t  number three) we wouldn’t have the hope of making it (slim a chance as it is) to the playoffs. We needed them ranked and undefeated. They need to expand the playoffs.
Dutch the conference championships. The runner up gets rewarded with nothing playoff wise. Usually.

Simple as that. We’d get in. So would UNT, Ga Tech and the Virginia and others. If we don’t make it we all know why we did not. Only 3.75 of our games were watchable. Florida loss is just the fucking box of shit that keeps on giving. Expand the playoffs. Having a committee choose is really ridiculous. Hope chaos happens today and our electric sensational win in front of a massive amazing crowd does the trick.

Totally redeemed himself with that 2nd half. He did everything he needed to do. Great game, coach.

The emotion in the 2nd half was all we'd been asking for all year.  Something got into him at half and the switch flipped

Imagine being aggy knowing you just gave a 6 year extension to a guy that got outcoached by the coach we bitch about all the time over here.

And all I know is Sark is 6-0 vs our rivals the last 2 years.  That’s a feather in his cap.

The bitching in this thread is wild. Sark isn’t perfect but he is more than good enough to steer the ship until the perfect coach comes along.

I just don’t know who would be better. Day has big pedophile energy and Smart is a whiny little bitch. Every other coach would be a lateral move at best.

Day can’t beat his rival….

Was that every time he beat ou?

I know you're joking but no - there were a couple beat OU lose to aggy seasons. '99 and '06 off the top of my head.

I think '07 and '10 were the only lose-to-both seasons.

We also beat OU in '13 when we didn't play aggy.

I'm an optimist I'm hoping the light came on for sark a bit - the OU/Miss St/Vandy/Arky games where he put Arch in a position to succeed (only Vandy and Arky were complete games) and then with little working in M2M coverage in the first half he saw Wisner balling out and he leaned heavily on that in the second half which seemed counter tendency to Sark.

my optimism is that he's learned something here. don't be so god damned dogmatic and take what they give and scheme for your players not force them to run your brilliant scheme.

i'll admit the first series was as stupid as forest gump but he made adjustments.

here's to hoping if he does stay next year that he portals well and he stays with what works.

I think it’s like a Derka thing, anybody who responds with a slightly contrasting point of view in their mind turns into an angry mob of people who are defending Quinn or sark.

i’ve been asking you people to cite something specific for years whenever you say this about me, and you never do. i tell you to call me out on it when you see me doing it, and you never do. because it doesn’t happen. it’s just something you repeat to get cool points. if you’re going to call someone out for something, at least cite a specific example of them doing that thing. it’s not 2009 anymore. hasn’t been for a while.

How many times did Mack Brown beat sooner and aggy in the same year?

I don’t know but I’m pretty sure he’s the secretary RC went balls deep in. His public fellatio of A&M made me want to scratch out my eyeballs.

Maybe now Sark will start to beat win the games he’s supposed ti win and at least split the ones he’s not the that way he won’t have to go crying to the media about the schedule

We didn’t practice all offseason and still got within a cunt hair of the playoffs. Pretty miraculous in season coaching job by Sark. Extension him.

Didn’t realize a cunt hair away was hoping 4-5 teams in front of us lost and a prayer

Gosh this makes a shit ton of sense.

The Florida game was rage inducing. After a BYE week. no halftime adjustments, I wanted to see him raging on the sideline barking orders and that simply wasn’t the case. Multiple videos of him looking like Linus moping on the sideline say otherwise.

That unnecessary loss to Florida after a fucking BYE week was a killer. Leaving zero room for error with the rest of our schedule. People can say well Bama lost to Florida State. True. They don’t have 3 losses. No one ahead of us screwed the pooch to end the regular season with 3 losses yesterday.

This year was an amazing opportunity for us. Just don’t have 3 losses. And someone needs to tell him that having 3 losses and getting in the CFP isn’t gonna be a thing.  It won’t be. You win the games you are supposed to win. You don’t get to just roll into the playoffs off of signature wins. He knows this shit. He studies the NFL. It’s based off your fucking record.

I am still pissed at this man bc he pissed the season away along with about $30 million. And citrus bowl v Michigan bowl. If we get into the CFP by some miracle that’s great. But he blew that game and yes he TURNED it around during the Miss St game. But he knew we had to beat everyone left on the schedule.

My question is why did it take him to the Miss State game to fix obvious problems a good OC would have seen at the start of the season? Why? What the fuck did we do during our BYE week before the Florida game? By that point he knew we had a world class issue on OLine that he failed to do fuckall about in the off season.

People can defend this man all damn day and I will die on the hill that he could have done better. Should have done better. And he did not. And that’s why he doesn’t have a MNC after 12 years as a HC.

Sark failed us this year, primarily in the off season. I think he's mostly a fraud as an "offensive guru" (why do the espn folks keep saying this? Do they not read stats?). I also think he isn't capable of putting a string of wins together that it would take to win it all.

That being said, I'll give him credit for one thing. He has us ready to play in rivalry games. 6-0 the last 2 seasons. We could do worse, but that doesn't meant I don't want to try and do better and find someone who gives us a real shot at a title.

Yep. Just like Dabo and Kirby and Harbaugh and Day and....

He probably already has a title if Brooks doesn't tear his ACL in '23 although that Michigan team was no joke.
