That’s disheartening to hear about Crowell. I think he’s the best rb in the nation this year. Hope we land KJ Edwards.

So unless USC or someone else comes on late, are we almost certainly going to get Prothro or Bowman? They have the same top 2 (UGA) and I don’t think they’d want to be in the same class.

And what’s up with Heze Kent—does he not want to play OL? Says he’s a TE on his X profile but seems like he’s going to be too big (weighs 260-300 depending on the source) to stick there long-term.

Gerry said multiple times this morning that Kent wants to be a TE and that Texas is recruiting him as TE.

Gerry said multiple times this morning that Kent wants to be a TE and that Texas is recruiting him as TE.

247 has him at 6’5”, 300 lbs. As a junior in high school. This would be bizarre.

For anyone curious to see for himself, Kent is discussed in the May 8 version of Coffee & Football, around the 15:00 mark.

Gerry says he's 6'5", 287 lbs. now, but the HS staff thinks he'll actually play lighter, around 270-275, in college. And he doesn't mind being an in-line TE.

What am I missing ?

Dia said Mark Bowman (TE from CA) and current Texas WR commit, Chris Stewart, were the best players out there.

Whether Stewart remains a take for Texas has been discussed ad nauseam here.

I think Stewart being a take is settled. It's whether he'll go to Texas without his brother.

That's exactly the kind of freak athlete that can put a really good team over the top by making some special plays. Henry Shelton says hi.

Good recruiting pitch

Just googled Marqez to refresh my memory and learned that after he left Texas, he got his masters at Berkeley and then returned to campus to work in a non-athletic role.  Pretty badass.

Was it eric green that played TE for the Steelers at around this size?

5* QB, RB, OT, and TE incoming.  Another defensive haul with top 100 and 200 players all throughout.  Yeah, I'm drinking the Kool-aid.

Not even joking. We actually may end yip with another #1 class. That's some big dick swinging, we're truly a force to be reckoned with.
