Arch has gotten better and improved game to game.  I don’t understand how some y'all can’t see it.

He's going to shut a lot of people up.  But probably not until next year when we can portal in some guys who can give him more than 1.5 seconds in the pocket.

I've undertaken a comprehensive survey of every hall of fame NFL quarterback.  The results are shocking.  What I learned is there is actually a talent delta for each of these players between their high-school years, first year starting in college, and peak NFL output.  This leads one to believe that maybe, just maybe, QBs develop over time and get better with more experience.

I'm still sitting here trying to process this stunning revelation.

I hope he gets there and think he can but he hasn’t gotten there yet.

My main point is that it’s wild to be advocating for another QB to take over right now.

Yeah, thats not me. My point last year was we weren't as good around the QB as the Derkas of the world thought we were. Running game completely disappeared in big games. O-line with inexplicable whiffs consistently every game. This has been a problem every year. I wasn't saying Arch wouldn't be good. I was saying he wouldn't make those issues disappear. So my I told you so was that, because certain people told us that Arch standing tall in the pocket and mobility would totally make the systemic Oline issues go away. And you are right. He isnt there yet. I think its going to take a good bit of time to get there but he also needs some help from the coaches and Oline.n

The oline was certainly significantly better last year, as were the running backs and WRs. They had issues for sure but that was against the best defenses. For the most part they were solid to good.
Arch would be playing differently with last years oline imo. Doesn’t mean he’d be heisman winner, but there wouldn’t be people thinking Caldwell should play.

Fuck off haters!  Especially one particular asshole who has shit on Arch all week and last year called QB3 a pussy.  Go post on the Atlantic ass.

Florida showed me Arch had potential and he came to win today against the so-called  Venerables D.  Dude has moxie and played like a champ in a week everyone shit on him! And that’s our QB that gave the game ball to Wisner!! Hook-Em!!

Outplayed the board savior Mateer

may have missed it but arch had maybe three bad throws?

He played much better this game even if he was slow with his reads still. Once Brooks settled in at left guard, everything worked better on offense.

Yea life’s different when a 280 pound guy isn’t running at you every play

Has Arch had some bad games yep.  Bit no need to attack his character.  Also he was 11 of 14 on third down. Idgaf how easy the throws were that’s something

Internet posters will be stupid because that's what we do.

But Manning played a solid game today staying in control and making plays that were there. And he was assisted by the OL playing better today than they have all year. They didn't play well but better. He still made some bad decisions on the move (throwing right while moving left) but his physical skills made it work. There were a couple of plays where he needed to just take the first down with his legs because that was 100% guaranteed but instead he threw it which was more like 70% he makes a good throw and the receiver makes the catch.

But he's learning and playing well in that environment should hopefully pay off huge.

Agreed about Arch needing to use his legs more in this game, but he was out there playing hurt from the Florida game. You could see him laboring even in pregame.

i made several comments about quinn ewers being an NIL millionaire who showed up out of shape, unkempt, and nowhere near ready to match the level of his teammates. you bringing that back up is an interesting way of defending him.

first of all, jesus christ, be more dramatic about it. i didn’t even compare you to jason whitlock directly you moron, i said that you treat arch manning the way that he treats black people. but go ahead, “take off your gloves” since you clearly want to so badly, i could not give a shit less.

also the only time i’ve been banned in the last several years was when imma went rogue (which is really the only reason i’ve ever been banned), so i don’t even have a clue what you’re talking about. but please, take off your gloves already, just stop with the juvenile fucking internet message board threats and warnings. christ. go off king.

Yeah, he was more consistent today, and he did a good job of not trying to do too much.

He also did a great job of running away from pressure without crossing the line then finding a WR who got to an open spot.

Just a much more composed effort today against a very good defense.

Arch played winning football and mateer didn’t. the story all week was whether or not mateer would play, as if that would be the deciding factor, and in the end he was thoroughly outplayed by Arch against what was supposed to be the best defense we’ve faced all year.

quinn being brought up on this page is appropriate, because for the last two years he consistently failed to meet the level of basically everyone around him, and with marginally better, more competent, more aware qb play we win at least one of the last two national titles imo.

today we saw something totally different from QE’s ineffectual, turtling ways. Arch, just like quinn, is an openly flawed qb, but unlike quinn he’s got all of that intangible shit that really matters: moxie, heart, leadership, toughness, etc. he did not singlehandedly lead this team to a win, but he never let them down, and he consistently answered the call. big 3rd down conversions, extending drives, making plays with his arm and legs, and crucially, he never turned the ball over. we have been missing a qb who makes winning plays and who shows up in big moments for years. Arch is not a great qb by any means (yet), but as a competitor i am extremely pleased to have him at the helm. he’s got that dawg in him.

Anything to win an argument. Wish @Thatguy can just celebrate a win without dogging Arch.  Take the dub

He didn’t light up the scoreboard but he played a great game, as far as what we needed from him today compared to the rest of the games he’s played this year. Happy as hell for him and this should be big for his mental game going forward.

We just beat the hell out of #6 OU as an unranked team and some of you can't resist the Arch vs Quinn argument.

For fuck's sake, enjoy life for a moment.  That was a HUGE win, as being 0-2 in the SEC would have sealed our fate given the UGA game to come.

Just.  Fucking.  Hook'em.

Things I think:

fuck OU

damn it feels good to beat them

the entire team as a whole did not benefit from having NFL prostyle practices this offseason. They needed tons of reps and to be challenged. And somewhere in the third quarter I saw the switch be flipped for a lot of them. They were fighting hard and with heart.

I like Arch a lot. He has heart and he fights. And I loved Wisner saying Arch gave Wisner the game ball. 🏈 that’s cool af. The nepo baby shit gets old to hear and he will always hear it. But Arch isn’t a mental midget. I predict he will be great. He will be HIM. But he has yet to grow into all the stuff people have put on him since he began his quest as a QB. I believe he will. He’s got a good head on his shoulders and he fights. This was a tough learning curve and he will still be learning.

but I pray we ditch the prostyle offseason crap bc it put us in a self inflicted hole as a team we didn’t need to be in. I think we would have beaten Florida and maybe even Ohio State had we had contact practices and given our QBs 140 plays and had a spring game and no one will change my mind on this. It was a dumb Sark idea we didn’t need. We don’t have to dangle that shit to lure or keep recruits and this prostyle shit has failed everywhere it’s been tried in college. It kept the staff from properly evaluating everyone and had the players thinking they were miles ahead of where they actually were.

enjoy today. We gutted it out. And so did Arch and that says a lot about him. He didn’t fold. He kept fighting with his team. And the team showed the heart and spirit we all wanted to see.

Good stuff. A lot to build on.

I honestly thought Arch played his best game of the year by far. Not perfect obviously he still needs to see some plays but he was very good for us today. Very encouraging.
