Couldn't agree more w/ her.  I like waking up whenever, getting myself going and then firing up the dvr to watch my races first thing Sunday morning. Used to like staying up late to watch the opener in Oz, but they've fucked that up for me.

I’m sure Lewis is pissed too. He’s now behind Charles. Ferrari strategy is trash.

TIL there’s a magical strategy that makes up for being drastically slower than your teammate.
Lewis started on mediums and had no pace. There was no way to avoid pitting him into traffic. He just wasn’t fast enough to gap the back marker hard runners in his first stint.

Turns out he had a damaged car.

They said Lewis had some floor damage that hurt his downforce.

Still irrelevant to blaming about his strategy. There was nothing Ferrari could do. He was too slow to clear traffic so they had no choice. Keeping him out on the mediums would’ve been worse.

I should not have blamed their strategy today. I didn’t know his car was damaged when I originally posted.

Apparently the groundhog put a hole in the floor. Solid little animal.

Eating brunch in a restaurant watching the race and the looks of all the Ferrari supporters whenever we would get yet another episode of  F1's version of "Charles in Charge" was priceless.  Love the unintentional comedy between Charles and his engineer.

Lando is a fucking moron and doesn't not have the temperament to win a title.  He has talent, he wants to be good, and then he gets nervous and shits himself again and again and again.

Finally, where can I can get a t-shirt that reads" We aren't testing, we are racing."  That is a mantra to live by from Fernando.

Lando is just not as good of a driver as PIA. Obviously not as good as Max or Leclerc and honestly don't think he's better than George.

If he can't beat Oscar in the same machinery does he try and take a leap to another car a la Danny Ric? Does he stick with McLaren?

Either way, couldnt happen to a better guy.

What is the point here? Telling the guy who is trying to win against a attack that he should not brake late? If Oscar was late, Lando was late.

It wasn't a late brake. Later than normal (everyone was conserving tires, so) but definitely under control.

It was showing the excellent driving by Piastri in the duel.

He was late on the brake vs Norris, nobody is calling Piastri the last of the late brakers.

I'm the last person here who is going to support Norris btw.

Piastri has the patience to be a champion. He didn’t fight for 3rd at the start of the race. He was patient and I think he could have gotten third if McLaren had told Lando to back off. McLaren cost themselves a podium (and points due to Lando being a moron) on Sunday.

I look at this picture and it so perfectly sums up that Lando is not only unaware of his physical situation on a track, but he was completely unaware of the situation involving the standings in the driver's race other than he is behind Oscar.

As goofyboy pointed out, Oscar has shown so much more patience than Lando on the track and in race situations as they impact the standings.

If Lando doesn't try to make the above pass he most likely finishes 4th which is 10 points for him.

If Lando does make the pass that nets he 2 extra points with a chance he does catch Kimi.  At the most the move nets him 5 points if he does execute two clean passes.

I know the argument about how important 1 point can be in the driver's race, but there is no math that works out where the risk of that outside pass where half your car is on the grass is acceptable when you consider what is to be gained for you and your team and the potential that McLaren could have lost both drivers because of an incredibly stupid and immature decision.

I think the point is to highlight Oscar's great driving. He outbraked Lando in the chicane to regain the lead, which led to Lando binning himself.

groundhog think GIF

But the seven-time world champion, a vegan and well-known animal lover, was more concerned with the "horrible" death of the groundhog.

"It was feeling pretty decent up until then. And then, I didn't see it happen, but obviously I heard I hit a groundhog," said Hamilton.

"So that's devastating. I love animals, and I'm so sad about it. That's horrible. That's never happened to me here before.

"It's never nice to see that - I just hope it didn't suffer."
