He needs to end at catcher to do a reverse Biggio.

It may help save his knees as he wouldn't need to squat to receive pitches.

Absolutely yes please! Kwan is a baller

He'd be a fantastic get, but we'll have to give up some talent to get him. Under team control until 2027, so wouldn't be a rental

Trade St Louis for Maton and then add him in the trade

Correct if I'm wrong, but hasn't Dana said for weeks that a LHB (preferably in the OF) and starting pitching were the priorities? We really gonna instead trade for another RHB in the IF and a middle reliever? I get that Paredes injury changes the calculation, but that would be a pretty big about-face.

You act like Dana has any sort of clue what he's doing. We win in spite of him not because of him

Yeah, I'm in the camp of not trusting Dylan Cease. Why is SD, in contention and allegedly exploring more SPs to trade for, looking to unload a "star" SP? We don't need another high paid player on our IL.

I think they’re considering unloading Cease because he will walk after this season, has been inconsistent, and they have pitching depth they can trade from to address holes in their lineup.

Plus it's Chas and Carrot tini. You make that move 10/10

Padres just traded for a catcher. I’m starting to think Astros are leaking these stories so when they do nothing else they can point to them and say they tried. They’ve never had the capital to complete trades of the magnitude they’ve been linked to. Another Urias type deal is more realistic.

Yep Dubey 2.0 is gonna be it

We got a quality MLB player for a nothing pitcher. You can make other deals like that. Tauchman would probably cost the same. He would instantly be an upgrade to the OF.

Pena, Tauchman, Altuve, Walker, Smith, Diaz, Caratini/Trammel, Urias, Dubon isn't terrible if we get some health in the pitching staff.

I'd also try to raid the Pirates for Santana and Rogers out of the bullpen. A bullpen of Souza, King, Okert, Rogers, Hader, Abreu, and Santana wouldn't suck either. Maybe Dubin comes back soon as well.

I'm not mad at it. But we have several more holes

Mullins to Mets thank god. Did.not.want.

Not sure why

.216 expected batting average (4th percentile)

.361 expected slugging percentage (18th percentile)

36.1% hard-hit percentage (22nd percentile)

So are we packaging Pena in a deal?

No Carlos is playing 3B. I would imagine next year the plan is Parades at second next year
