Blubaugh should starts

He has better stuff than every starter except Brown

Are you suggesting substance matters?

What do we think the chances are that Espada is fired after the season?  He was hired under Brown but it’s hard to think of him as “his guy” since he was already in the org.

Just a reminder if not for an injury to Pena, Espada would have kept Cole on the bench in favor of fucking Dubon.

Dubon is like if Jack Mayfield somehow stuck around for 3 whole seasons

Probably because people used to bitch Dusty played Dubon.

Because I desperately want it to happen, it won't.

Fuck Joe Espada. If that clown is brought back that’s tantamount to Crane giving a middle finger to this city. Thanks Texans and Astros for ruining my entire weekend.

I seriously have no idea why any of you think he's getting fired.

What a spectacular decade it was, boys. They can't take it from us!

Since I was a kid at my grandpa's watching Glen Davis and Kevin Bass and Mike Scott, I dreamed for a run like we just had. Sure we should have had the '19 and '23 World Series, but, it was a blast.

Yeah I can’t be upset.  Plus Detroit and Cleveland both lost today.  We can still make the playoffs and have a fluky dead cat bounce.

Lol man we are making the playoffs....the Tigers are the team that is gonna get laughed at.

Seattle, Cleveland, NYY, Boston, Astros

Tigers may win today, but if they can't even win Skubal start then they are ultra fucked.

Now once we get in the playoffs I think it is a repeat of last season and we get bounced immediately.

Same but if Tigers don't make the playoffs means we would get to play the Indians.  I kinda like that matchup.

We just got swept by a team that's won 9 of 10. We aren't beating a different team that's also won 9 of 10.

I can guarantee that the Tigers won’t win today. Or lose.

Like it or not, that's the national perception. Baseball pundits think Joe Espada has done a great job this year.

I mean, to still be in a pennant race with 1,741 disabled starters is going to be credited to good management by most observers.  They don't watch every game to see the other reasons or the places a better manager could have done more.

Astros are set up to make it. There’s nothing but themselves in the way with the easiest six game stretch of all the contenders. So, see you in the offseason thread.

thoughts on espada's bro in law as a potential staff addition ?

There are not two teams with two managers dealt more injuries that fucked the 2025 campaign than O’s and Stros.

I know we can argue conditioning coaches bear some blame. Some pretty sketchy moves back prematurely by staff, likely. And some clear lack of depth to prevent a collapse upon injuries maybe stems some of the damage, but still.
