Keyjuan Brown was their next highest carrier (5 fewer than Isaac) and he also had an impressive 7.3 ypc.He also averaged 7 ypc last year as a true freshman on 165 carries with only 3 games <5 ypc (and in two of those he only had 2 and 3 carries). 7.6 and 150 yards vs Clemson, 6.8 and 178 vs Kentucky, 117 vs SMU.Again, I won't claim to be an expert but the numbers don't look like feeding off junk food to me.If you’re going to cite stats, have the appropriate context. Clemson and Kentucky last season were not good defenses. Hell, we played both of them and you should have seen it with your own eyes. Louisville as a team rushed for almost 400 yards against UK. He had a good game against SMU. I’m not saying he’s dogshit, I’m saying the numbers aren’t telling the whole truth, neither is the 2025 Miami game, but that’s all most people are going off of to convince themselves that this guy could be RB1. Maybe he turns over a new leaf with his vaginal behavior at a new school. Or maybe a school thinks they’re answering their RB prayers in getting him and, it turns out, that will only be true when he feels like playing. 1 hour ago, Dbeasy said:A few years ago I started mentally tracking RB’s who had been thru ACL and Achilles surgeries, partially because I’ve been through two acl surgeries myself.I noticed a very clear trend of much better performance in the 2nd or 3rd year after coming back, as compared to the first year. The Cowboys Williams is an example of that, who finally looked good again in year three.Along those same lines, those that didn’t comeback strong by year three were permanently worse.Don’t know if we are seeing that 2 year performance bump with Clark, but he looked like a completely different player. What I can’t reconcile is that before he got hurt he didn’t look very good. The guy was recruited by a ton of blue bloods because he looked great in HS. He didn’t play in CFB before getting hurt heading into his freshman year last year. Or maybe a school thinks they’re answering their RB prayers in getting him and, it turns out, that will only be true when he feels like playing. My point was that his production hasn't just been from a couple games. It has been consistently good against pretty much anyone they played over two seasons. In 22 career games, he's been over 5ypc in 18 of them (8 this year). By comparison, Wisner and Baxter had 3 such games combined this year (including Baxter's 1 carry for 6 yards vs UTEP). Is Louisville's schedule the toughest? No. But you could say the same or more for Smothers and Hawkins. The bigger yellow flag to me is that Louisville's other backs have been extremely productive too. That points to a damn good run scheme that probably makes all of them look better than they might actually be. And I assume he isn't a great short-yardage option either. As for any injury/vaginal issues, I won't claim to know one way or the other. That would not be ideal if true but could still be ok as part of a two-headed attack.
